Chapter 38 - Two-Magic Synchronization Rates

"I didn't expect an Iris class student to come here," Kanna replied, stepping over to Aiden.

Aiden hurriedly put the book into his magic pouch, then explained the specific reason why Allana had come to help him.

"She's coming to help me," Aiden replied.

"Help what?" asked Kanna.

"He's a Silk class student, let alone a commoner. He'll have to train hard to match the abilities of the nobles," Allana replied.

"With the resources you have, you won't be much help to him," Allana retorted.

Allana felt that the situation was becoming increasingly complicated, especially since Kanna seemed suspicious of her. Not wanting to prolong the problem, Allana went to say goodbye.

Kanna did not forbid Allana from leaving. Instead, she let her go and left Aiden's business to her. Kanna immediately asked about the help Allana had given.

Aiden certainly couldn't say that she gave him the two magic synchronization books, that would make Kanna suspicious.

He took the Garnet gem from his magic pouch, showing it directly to Kanna.

"She gave me this gem, because I thought that with it, I could improve my magic abilities," Aiden replied.

"It's just a gem, I thought it was something else," Kanna explained, breathing a sigh of relief.

Kanna asked Aiden to go back to his dorm room, and Aiden nodded in reply.

Upon arriving at the room, Aiden immediately shut himself in by closing the door and pulling back the window curtains, making him unseen from the outside.

Aiden opened the book and studied it carefully, he didn't want to miss this chance where he could get specific information about two-magic synchronization.

There were many benefits after someone had synchronized two magics with their beast, from daily magic supply to the beast, summoning the beast's form and controlling it, healing the beast, to manipulating the beast's original form into another one.

In the book, the method to synchronize the two magics was explained, which could be done together or alone.

From what Aiden had done, he had actually applied the synchronization of two magics together.

For self-synchronization, it was usually used when the beast was uncooperative or in the sense that the beast's heart and mind had not merged with their tamer.

"To improve synchronization, you can use two different elemental gems to adjust between beast and tamer, you can meditate in a place rich in elemental magic energy, or you can use acceleration potions," said Aiden.

The method of accelerating synchronization with two gems cannot be done with low grade gems, it must be done with high grade gems.

For fire elemental gems, they must use the Inferno Heartstone gem. For the ice element gem, they had to use Glacirion.

Aiden didn't find either of them, and the difficulty of finding both gems made Aiden feel pessimistic about accelerating his synchronization with two different elemental gems.

He focused on doing what he could. Meditating in a place rich in elemental magic energy was one of them.

"The synchronization of two magics is determined based on the ability level of the magic tamer and beast. If the strength of the two is balanced, then the speed will increase by 50% from the initial rate of 5%," said Aiden.

"If one of the two has a high level, then the increase will only increase by 2-3% from the initial rate," Aiden explained.

The explanation in the book enlightened Aiden. Aurora's high magic level and Aiden's low magic level make the rate of synchronization speed can only be done at a maximum of 8%.

"However, according to Kanna's explanation, someone who synchronizes two magics at the top of the Fire Fountain hill will get a rate increase of 30-40%."

"If I can do it there, there's a chance the synchronization speed rate will increase to as high as 48%," Aiden explained.

"What stage is the ice dragon at that it's higher than me?" Aiden asked, curious.

Putting that aside, Aiden had the opportunity to increase the synchronization of the two magics based on what was described in the book.

The hilltop Fire Fountain was the only place with abundant elemental magic energy nearby.

The last page of the book read, Aiden had finished reading the entire book.

He put the book away on the nightstand, then focused on shifting his consciousness to the beast dimension ring.

As Aiden's eyes opened, he saw Aurora sleeping near the ice throne. Aiden's presence immediately caught the sleeping Aurora's attention.

"What's wrong, Aiden?" asked Aurora.

"I found the right method to enhance the synchronization of two magics," Aiden replied.

"But am I allowed to know what stage of magic you're in?" asked Aiden.

Aurora continued to stare at Aiden, seeing the seriousness on the man's face.

"My power is equivalent to the Magus stage for you men," Aurora replied.

'Magus stage?Of course this is an issue, my stage is still First Apprentice,' Aiden explained.

"What method are you referring to?" asked Aurora.

"There is a place rich with magic elemental energy in the academy. I will use that place to complete the two magic synchronizations," Aiden explained.

"Are you sure you can do it?"

"I'm sure."

Aurora paused, then fell back asleep to conserve her magic energy, "If you're sure, I won't stand in your way."

"Do it quickly. The longer it takes, the more my magic energy will be depleted if I stay in the Dimension Beast," Aurora said.

"I understand."

His consciousness returned to his body. Aurora had given Aiden permission to do so, but Aiden had to be careful.

He got up and stepped to the window of the room, opened the curtain and saw the archway that connected to the hilltop.

There, there were two people standing guard to make sure the Silk class students didn't go up.

"Before I go up there, I need to get rid of those two. The shift change will happen but it's not effective," Aiden replied.

"Going in a circle is just a cliff, the only option is to get rid of them," Aiden said.

Not only was he looking at them, but Aiden was also paying attention to the area around the student dormitory.

Tonight, it was eight o'clock in the evening and there weren't many Silk-class students resting yet.

"I'll do it today, when midnight comes. By then, they probably won't notice me."

"I'll wait."
