After dropping the sisters off, promising to visit the coven tomorrow morning, he headed out to find a new place to live, after finding a far and out-of-the-way place to burn his mother's body.
Feeling thirsty, he cruised around for signs of a meal. Taking an exit he thought was far enough off the beaten path from his chosen destination that it wouldn't be easily traced back to his new area, a few cities away from Mystic Falls.
Recalling one of his siblings mentioning nightclubs, he asked around and found a place.
Parking his car, he walked past the long line, straight to the bouncer, and compelled him to let him in, much to the disgruntlement of those waiting.
Frowning at the loud music, he made his way through the crowd, searching for prey.
It didn't take him long to track down a group of vampires feeding in a private VIP Lounge.
"Hey, Ben, after this, we should hit up that vamp bar and pay our respects," one of them said as he kicked down the door.
Inside he found 4 vampires feasting on young women while occupying the many sitting areas facing a center dancing pole platform where a compelled nude woman was dancing and bleeding from multiple bite marks with tables and floors covered in alcohol and drugs.
Quickly taking this all in, when the closest one on the right stands up asking, "Who the fuck are you?"
He backhands his head off.
Immediately upon two of his friends cry out in shock and get to their feet, he speeds towards them and rips both their hearts out simultaneously, their bodies collapsing onto the floor with the rest of the trash.
Facing the last one frozen in fear, he casually sat beside him, slipping his arm around his shoulders and pulling him in, "Now tell me about this bar."
After getting the information he needs and helping the girls who are still alive, he exits the room using a handkerchief to clean any wet blood that might have been left on his mouth and hands.
Stumbling to his car, ignoring those who snickered at him, he fell into the driver's seat and leaned his head back, waiting for the spinning to end.
He didn't realize you can get a buzz from drinking alcoholic drug-laced blood.
Shaking his head, he inserts the keys as his original vampiric nature takes care of it. He'd be mindful of who to drink from in the future.
Back on the road, he went straight for the bar near the city's edge.
Stopping across the street, he scoffs at the blood-red neon sign above the building's entrance, Juice Bar.
As he walks to the front door, a big man standing before it stops him. " Are you new here? I don't think I've ever seen you around here."
He was beginning to wonder if every place was guarded now. Glancing at the empty street, he rips his heart out and enters.
Inside was a rustic bar with plenty of seating areas packed with guests. He could tell right away that most if not all the people here were vampires, the stench of blood was nearly overwhelming.
The barman spots him and calls, "Hey newbie over here, what can I get you?"
Stepping towards the bar, he pulls out one of the stools and sits down, looking at the barman curiously.
"Wondering how I knew you were a newbie? It's simple, really. Only veterans can handle the strong scent of blood in the air without vamping out," said the barman reaching for a drink, "Besides the fact that I also know everyone," he chuckled. "Here, try this. It's a favorite around here: our specially mixed alcoholic blood drink."
Catching his reflection in the mirror he could see what the barman meant.
Bringing himself under control, he took the drink seeing how he was in no hurry, though he kept an eye on the door through the mirror so that no one left.
"What do you think? It's good, isn't it?" asked the barman with a grin.
Giving a nod, he took in his surroundings noting a back area and a stairway leading up to a second story.
"Ah, you don't want to go up there, that's where the Boss and only his most trusted are allowed." commented the barman following his eyes.
"Where you from anyways? Are you staying in town or just passing through?" asked the barman while cleaning a glass.
"Tell me about this boss and what he does around here," he probed, sipping his drink.
"You mean you don't know?" asked the barman a bit confused, "How did you find this place?"
Suddenly the noise cut, and everyone was looking right at him. At first, he thought the body outside was found but no one entered or left since he'd been here.
"You should answer the question, stranger," said one of the patrons.
"Overheard a group of vamps talking at the nightclub, thought I'd check it out," he answered, unconcerned with the growing hostility in the atmosphere.
The room filled with the sound of chairs sliding out as everyone stood up and surrounded him.
"And these vamps just happen to tell you where this place is, huh? Tell me their names," the patron ordered.
Finishing his drink, he sighed, "I thought this was a locally known spot. Was I wrong?"
"No, it is, but you're not local, and you've been acting weird since you arrived, asking questions you shouldn't have," answered the barman.
"Can't a guy be curious?" he asked, placing the glass down. Turning to face the crowd, right when a new vamp entered, shouting "Jeff's dead outside! Did no one notice?!"
"What?! How?!"
"Can't be!"
"Not Jeff!"
They all collectively turned towards him and looked at his bloody hand that he didn't bother cleaning, after all, there was bound to be more.
"You bastard!" roared the lead patron of the group, throwing a fist at him.
Moving faster than they could react, he sped past the man's guard, taking hold of the arm with both hands, he tore it off hitting the other's back with the severed limb in a wide arc.
Those in the back seeing their leader lose an arm and the front row go down, sped forward taking up the assault.
"You have no idea who you're dealing with. You won't make it out of the city alive let alone this bar. By the time we get done with you, you'll wish you were never made a vampire," taunted the barman, cheering on his fellow vamps.
Catching the first vampire that leapt at him, he threw him into a second, then turned to a third, blocking both his strikes before ripping out his heart.
"Fucking Kill him already!" shouted the leader, clutching his missing arm.
One of them managed to sneak behind him and hit him in the back with a bar stool and then attempted to stake him with the broken piece as he turned to catch his hand and force it into his own chest.
"No! I'll fucking kill you for that!" screamed one of them as he dodged another.
More came at him.
Blocking, bobbing, and weaving, he kicked one hard enough to knock down several more behind, breaking tables and chairs, and hook-punched another with enough force to shatter his cheek and snap his neck.
Then he found himself backed into the bar when a kick slipped past, sending him crashing through the rustic wood, bringing down rows upon rows of bottles on top of him as he fell back into the bar wall.
"Fuck! Do you have any idea how expensive that is?!" exclaimed the barman, scurrying out of the way.
Drenched in a red tint, he licked his lips.
He was careless, allowing some random vampire to get a hit in, regardless of how outnumbered he was. None of them were particularly skilled, and while he can't say to be the best vampiric fighter around having not really fought any, only having squashed those who got in his way. They were still far weaker than an Original.
To top it off, he was the best fighter father ever produced before he became disillusioned with his other siblings and lumped them all as one. It also didn't help when he sought solace from his mother when his father was otherwise occupied. He still couldn't believe the man was dead, felled by Niklaus of all people, distracted or not, it was a pathetic end.
There was no way he'd go out the same way.
Tired of hearing the barman talk, he sped towards him and savagely bit into his throat drinking his fill before tearing his head off.
Catching everyone off guard as they watched him feed from a fellow vamp.
Looking more like a demon than a vampire, those less brave took a step back under his gaze.
Everyone then turned as six vampires from above strutted down to see what was happening below.
"What's with all the noise you stupid sons of bitches? Can't you see I'm… What the fuck…"
Not interested in hearing anything more, Finn makes his move, speeding back into the crowd, he punches holes through two of their chests snuffing the life out of them.
Curses and shouts for action wake them up as he continues his slaughter, taking out two more in similar fashion, ripping the heart out of an unprepared vamp with his left hand while ducking a second one's desperate strike on his right and countering by punching a hole through his chest.
A braver vamp throws a straight right at him which he catches and holds firmly as he transitions into a spinning kick around the outside breaking the arm in half while decapitating the head of another with his foot. A quick punch to the back of the lower spine then crippled the fool for the rest of the fight.
Catching a kick on his left, he brings his right elbow down on the knee breaking it.
A vamp on his right comes at him in a fighter's stance and he blocks the right strike, the left strike, and the right knee with his right arm, and then uppercuts him with his left, thrusting his fingers through his bottom chin and tearing out the jaw in a sickening display of power.
"Dogpile him you fools! Stop him from moving around!" shouted their Boss growing more agitated by the minute.
Seeing four come at once, He speeds towards one of them kicking the legs out from under him and then kicking him again while he's still sideways in the air sending him skipping across a table and slamming into the wall.
Pivoting around into a lower spinning kick, he knocks the other three off their feet and stomps on each of their heads in quick succession.
He is then tackled from the side by the Boss, who has seen enough and decided to take matters into his own hands but is unable to knock him down.
"Who the fuck are you?" growled the Boss in disbelief as Finn forces him to let go, holding the man's arms out.
"Your end," he grinned, head butting him in the face, breaking his nose. He then grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up in front of everyone.
"Impossible the Boss is over 600 years old," commented one in astonishment.
Noticing that some of them were beginning to eye the exits sparked an idea. Lowering the boss to eye level he compels him, "Guard the exits. Kill anyone who tries to leave," and then releases him.
"Boss?" His right-hand man looks at him questioningly but is ignored as he takes position at the front door while keeping an eye on the back.
The extermination continued as the bar filled with the screams and pleas of those who remained, towards a compromised Boss, and a Demon who showed no mercy.
.
Entering the city he chose to move to, freshly cleaned, he went to the tallest, most expensive building and walked right in.
His siblings would never believe him so brazen as to live on the highest floor in the most expensive building or take the entire thing over with his compelling powers.
.
Feeling like a weight's been lifted off him, he laid on the bed closing his eyes, finally allowing himself a moment to relax for the first time since waking up from the box, instantly drifting off into a deep sleep.
Awoken by his phone ringing in the morning, he rolls over, reaching for it, "Hello?"
"Where are you? You said you'd be here," came the distinctly unhappy voice of Ana from the other end.
Why did it have to be her? Why couldn't it have been Eva or Holly? She seemed nice, he thought, rubbing his eyes.
"You mean until recently? Sleeping," he drawled.
"It's practically noon, get your ass over here," she ordered.
He sat up with a frown, "Careful now, I'm not some servant to be ordered about, so watch your mouth when you speak to me."
Receiving glares from the heads of her coven she quickly covered her retort and changed her tune, "Please, come over," she said biting her lip from the exertion.
"Soon," was all he said and hung up.
Nearly throwing her phone on the ground in rage, she stormed off after receiving another scolding from their leader. God, she hated him, at least Lucia was on her side.
