Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 - Death Eater Raid

Felix thought it would be a quick in and out of Flourish and Blotts since they only needed a few books. How wrong he was for while they only needed a few books, it seems everyone in the wizarding world needed them too. For it was more of a zoo inside then the actual zoo as children entering Hogwarts to elderly witches and wizards were buying books today.

To top it off, inside the crowd, Felix actually saw Gilderoy Lockhart among them. He seemed to be demonstrating his knowledge to those he assumed would be enrolling this year or in the next few years.

Which ended in chaos as sparks of fire seemed to shoot out of his wand. The manager of the store ended up tossing him out, despite Lockhart needing to still buy his textbooks. Even needing to rebuy some of the textbooks, since he signed and sold them to the second hand store. Well, that is what Felix thought he heard as Lockhart shouted to be let back in.

"Poor, Professor Flitwick. He doesn't have it easy with a student like him." Angel said as they exited the store.

"Professor McGonagall doesn't either with your brother and his friends. Even if they have begun to calm down." Felix commented.

"Don't forget, yourself Felix. You can be a handful too with your magic experiments." John smiled.

"Hmph, no phoenix for John." Felix playfully huffed.

John rolled his eyes at Felix's words since he knew it was a joke. Only as they walked towards the apothecary, John bumped into someone. When he went to apologize for bumping into them, John felt Felix pulling him away with his wand in his other hand.

"Expelliarmus!"

"Avada Kedavra!"

A green and red beam coming out of the wands shot at each other. It was if the two were connected or deliberate on Felix's part as under John and Angel shocked eyes the two spells connected. Where the red and green seem to combine into a golden color as it rocked back and forth trying to travel down either side of the two spells.

"Angel, John, be careful! Death Eaters are attacking!" Felix roared as he flicked his wand.

The golden ball seemed to launch upwards where a thunderous boom seemed to shake the glass of the shops around. It also signified the chaos as witches and wizards began to bolt left, right and center as Felix kept his wand in motion.

"You're quick to react, no wonder my Lord wants you gone." a young but slightly rough voice mocked.

Spell after spell, Felix flung various spells as more and more men and women in black robes appeared. Their silver masks reflected the sun as they all seemed to focus their attention on him. Only when a few braver wizards and witches stepped forward did the couple in the group of twelve robe figures shifted attention.

'Ten Death Eaters? This will be tricky holding out until help arrives.' Felix thought to himself.

Felix felt the weight of protecting Angel and John behind him as well as some of the witches and wizards who stepped forward. He didn't really count on relying on them to relieve some of the pressure as they just stood behind him firing some spells they haven't used in a while or done before.

Various voices called out spells unlike the Death Eaters who mainly did it non verbally. While most adult witches and wizards could do non verbally, not many could do it in a tense situation. Which also demonstrated that these Death Eaters were the low level members like during Christmas.

Beads of sweat quickly filled Felix forehead as he batted away a curse. An acidic smell quickly filled the air as the spell hit the ground and began to rapidly erode it. This seemed to shock one of the braver witches, who quickly bolted at the sight.

"Be careful, Felix." Angel said as she tried to use magic.

Either due to stage fright or being knocked into, but Angel spell went skywards. While John tried to use the levitation charm on one of the robes. Which seemed to be charmed against such actions or John's focus wasn't enough to lift the man up.

Felix gave John a thumbs up in his heart for being brave to try, but wished he would take Angel to run. While it was a bit mean-sounding, he didn't care if the adults were hit, as he felt Angel and John's safety was more important than the strangers.

"John, take Angel and run." Felix quickly said.

"I-want to stay and H-help." John stammered out as he flung a couple spells.

As more and more spells flew his way and none he thought was nice. Felix quickly began to think of a way to block and disrupt the other group rhythm. The Death Eaters were quickly getting into the rhythm of continuous spells.

'John, this isn't the time to be brave. How can I run away when you won't.' Felix complained to himself.

He had no time to argue as the attacks were coming faster and more synced. He had to quickly think of a way to disrupt or block these barrage of spells. Then, an idea hit him as he quickly hoped it would work and dragged his wand as if forming a line. His voice echoed among the chaos as a thick wall of ice appeared between the two.

"Glacies Murus, (Ice Wall)."

The temperature seemed to shift as the wall rapidly rose up from the ground like an impenetrable castle wall. The spells splashed against it with chunks blown out or eroded yet none got passed. Which seemed to stun both sides as this magic was never heard of or very rare.

Felix didn't care, he only cared it worked and was already moving his hands and wand. The ground seemed to tremble a bit as Felix focused heavily as water flew from the nearby shops and underground. Spinning his wand as he used his hand as if he was holding the now rapidly spinning vortex of water that held half the Death Eaters in his palm.

"Orb of Water."

This spell when used is able to trap someone in an orb to drown them and seems to hold a suppressing effect. Even Voldemort when captured by Albus Dumbledore was stuck inside and only escaped due to possessing Harry to force Dumbledore break concentration to maintain it.

While Felix would like to think he could hold Voldemort inside, he doubted it would hold for long or even if he could get the man into one. He doubted the Dark Lord would stand still like his underlings.

'When will the Aurors or some better witches and wizards appear?' Felix complained to himself.

Luckily, the four he didn't manage to trap inside were gradually being suppressed by the remaining witches and wizards. Angel and John's parents also rushed over and with Fleamont skills which spelled the end as one managed to escape while Fleamont looked furious.

Then a series of pops were heard alongside a loud shout that was more of a roar.

"Wands down, the Aurors are here!"

A man with a lion-like mane stood in front of a group of Aurors. The man was tall, not quite Hagrid tall, but still taller than most wizards and witches. Felix would place him about six and half feet at least, but this may be more due to the boots the man wore.

"Shows up at the end, typical Aurors." Felix heard a man mutter behind him.

"Boy, didn't you hear me, wands down." The man roared.

"If you say so." Felix tired holding the water orb agreed.

He didn't care enough to say that where they popped into was just beneath the Water Orb. So after letting go of his spell, all the water that probably filled a public swimming pool or two came crashing down on top of the Aurors alongside the Death Eaters inside.

The water splashed outwards wiping out the Aurors team and even a few watching the show. Luckily he still had a wand in hand and with a small swish of his wand, the water seemed diverted away from Felix and his friends. Right before many eyes landed on him.

"What, he told me to drop it." Felix said innocently.
