The few days of staying at the Potter's quickly passed by as did most of the summer. Before Felix knew it, the letter from Hogwarts delivering his list for the next school year arrived. Scanning over it, Felix found he only really needed to buy a couple books such as The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 2.
It turns out that he could reuse his books from last year for most of his classes. Which actually saved him some money and others if they took good care of their books. Transfiguration and Potions books were pretty thick and due to teaching the basics and being the more complex side of magic. Both classes moved a bit slower through the textbooks compared to Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts.
'I already learned all the magic in most of my books last year. I wonder if I can get a copy of more advanced years?' Felix thought to himself.
Due to those terrifying packets and wanting to shatter his professor's views on magic. He already read and practiced most of the magic in the books and some more. His friend John and Angel were in a similar boat to him. They already learned most of the magic in those books last year.
"Felix, you got a letter." William called from the kitchen.
Moving to grab the letter, Felix looked at the cookie in William's hand, then at the man. Snatching the letter with sadness as he wanted a cookie, but had to follow his diet. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to have the cherry pie after dinner.
Opening the letter, Felix scanned over it quickly since it wasn't that long of a letter. It was from John who said both him and Angel will go school shopping in a few days. John hopes that he could come along so they could all do their school shopping and play in Diagon Alley together.
"My friends are asking if I can join in school shopping in a few days." Felix said.
"In a couple days. I can't join you as we have been swamped at the clinic. The stressed out young parents whose children are entering school are coming in by the groups." William sighed.
"It's alright, I'm just picking up some books and refilling our potion materials. Nothing too interesting, especially as I doubt many would be out in the streets." Felix answered. "There is still the rampaging Dark Lord after all."
"How come your Ministry of Magic hasn't gotten rid of him." William asked. "From what I know, he's been waging this war for nearly six years now."
"It's because they can't. The only one who really can put him into a stalemate in the British magical world is Albus Dumbledore at this time. Most witches and wizards who live here aren't fighters and most just learn magic to live a comfortable life." Felix explained.
The British Magical World isn't very big and most witches and wizards aren't very demanding in living conditions. Basically as long as they can have a roof, food and enough money to buy materials they can't harvest or grow themselves, they are happy to live a life of idleness.
It was also why there weren't many shops made, as they only really began to grow about a hundred years ago or so. Before then, witches and wizards would grow or raise magical plants and animals and go to basically a day market to trade. Shops like Ollivander's Wands were more on the rarer side.
Now as the magical world puts more laws that basically limit their own potential to advance. More shops alongside wizards and witches that were once idle began to become busy. For they now needed to make money to get once was easily obtained by raising or growing.
"Isn't your headmaster nearly a hundred years old?" William asked. "Is it alright to saddle a man as old as he is with such a responsibility?"
"Not really, but it is what it is." Felix could only shrug.
Due to this situation, it is probably why a prophecy was put in place that landed on Harry Potter in the original world. It was for the magical world to transfer the burden from an old man to a younger one. Otherwise, even if Albus Dumbledore was getting up there in age even by magic standards, they would still throw him out to face the trouble.

A few days quickly passed by with Felix waking up a bit earlier as he did his morning exercise and had breakfast. Then after preparing for the day, he sent William off before raising his wand, where a familiar purple triple decker bus appeared.
After paying the fare, Felix noticed the seats that were once there were now gone. In their place were now more beds with wheels. Taking a seat, the bus took off with the man behind the wheel turning and crazily driving down the road.
It was a good thing that magic was involved or the police would be troubled writing a ticket. The bus basically broke every traffic law there is. It basically took about an hour or so, before Felix arrived at his stop due to it being morning. So not many passengers were on board yet.
After walking into the Leaky Cauldron, Felix looked at the few inside and then spotted Angel and John with their parents. This wasn't hard as they were the biggest group, but he didn't see John's brother he would talk about.
"Felix, you finally got here. You didn't get lost did you?" John said happily.
"I took the Knight Bus, so how could I get lost." Felix replied before changing his answer. "What do you mean I got lost? Would I be capable of such a thing? I just like to take the scenic route."
"Where William?" Fleamont asked.
"He's mainly busy at work." Felix replied. "The secondary reason, it's not really safe for him to come here. He believed that since he doesn't have magic, he can be curious and ask questions, but he shouldn't get too involved in the magic world."
"Shame, but it can't be helped." Fleamont sighed.
Felix soon shifted his attention to John's family. His mother, while not a super beauty that would turn heads, is still a pretty woman. Felix noticed that John held her eyes and had more of her features despite his strong resemblance to his father. Who on the other hand held a more frail vibe and looked.
Similarly to Angel parents, John's parents weren't young like most Hogwarts students' parents. Which showed they weren't like most couples that graduated Hogwarts and had their children a year or two afterwards. Granted due to the war, not many children were being born at this time as everyone is afraid the Death Eaters or the Dark Lord will appear before them.
'Now that I think about it, the Dark Lord is late on trying to assassinate me again.' Felix thought to himself.
It had been quite a few months since the last time he tried to steal the Cup of Life. Which made Felix realize he should retaliate again since if the Dark Lord wanted to kill him. He should do his best to return the favor and continue to dismantle his followers.
He neither had the power or skill to face Voldemort head on at this point, but that didn't mean he didn't lack the option to hurt him. It would be nice if he could get access to one of the Dark Lord's followers and access to the infamous Dark Mark.
Since the Dark Lord can use it to call upon his followers, then if he can use it. He could theoretically use it to curse all those with the mark. Which would really hurt the Dark Lord war due to his top combant being out of commision.
'It would be nice if I could have Bellatrix Black or is it Lestrange?' Felix idle thought. 'It's probably Lestrange as she is twelve or thirteen years older than I am.'
Bellatrix was a very beautiful woman as he managed to catch sight of her once in the newspaper. It hasn't been quite confirmed yet that she is a follower of the Dark Lord, but many wouldn't believe it if she said she wasn't. She was in the paper as she was a part of a group that were donating to the Ministry after some scandal and charges were dropped.
"So are you ready to go shopping, Felix." Angel said, snapping his attention back on track.
"Let's go." Felix nodded. "I meant to ask, but is James and Sirius already shopping?"
"Yeah, they met up with their two friends and took off a few minutes before you arrived." Angel replied.
"Peter and Remus? Is it safe to let the four be together without supervision?" Felix asked.
"Let's hit the book store first." John suggested completely ignoring Felix's question.
