Chapter 2 - Chapter 7

Hannah was laying down on her bed. She could hear a high-pitched sound in her ears and tried to search for it with her hands thrown on the pillow and on a blanket, as if it were really placed beside her.

Finally, when she wasn't able to get it off with her eyes closed, she opened her eyes and saw the mobile on the nightstand near her bed. She didn't remember where she left her phone.

"Argh!" She deactivated the alarm. She was too lazy to go to the bathroom, so she closed her eyes and went to sleep. She was so relieved to have avoided the blaring alarm that it didn't bother her to get more sleep.

At 11 o'clock, her eyes opened, and she stared at the ceiling, smiling. She arrived late last night from Moores ville Mansion. She was so tired, but she still sketched some designs until 1 a.m in the morning.

The sleepless nights were worth it because her design was so pretty, and she was proud of herself for working hard. But as a habit, she wasn't able to wake up as early as she had decided.

She didn't have any problem with waking late because her bouquet opened at 2 pm and now it's just 11 am in the morning.

"What!"

Hannah sat on the bed, and her eyes were wide with shock. Had she forgotten that today was her meeting with Moore's?

"Uncle Allen had specially invited me to lunch with him."

Hannah was a little surprised because it was very unusual for her to forget about anything.

There was so much paperwork that she and the company had to go through. How could she have forgotten about it? She has to be there at 12:30 p.m. at any cost.

Looking at the clock that was hanging on the wall, she sighed. It was already 11:15 a.m. She had to leave in ten minutes if she wanted to make it on time.

She got up from her bed and looked out the window.

The weather was not very good at all; it looked like it was going to rain soon. She hoped it wouldn't, because she didn't have an umbrella with her.

"I still have enough time." It's a big relief for her at the moment. Taking deep breaths. She headed for the shower.

After ten minutes, she came back, wrapping a towel around her body.

Her hair was still damp, but it had dried enough that she could comb through it.

But still having no more time, she took a hair dryer and started drying her wet hair while singing something under her breath.

After Hannah was done with her hair, he focused on her skincare and then makeup. She took a serum and put it on her cheeks. She applied it all over her face and then moisturiser, and she massaged her temples softly.

She then reached for her makeup bag and pulled out her foundation.

Holding her favourite foundation, she applied it too and blended it with a beauty blender.

After putting on lip bum and mascara, she was done with her makeup.

Walking towards her armoire and choosing a plain printed dress. It was a yellow dress with a sunflower on it and a belt attached to the side. Hannah tied her belt and looked in the mirror with satisfaction.

She looked pretty, and now her look will be completed with a pair of matching shoes. She searched for her yellow high heels.

Hannah wasn't a fan of very high heels, so it was middle high, but there was a problem.

The yellow heels were nowhere to be seen today. She sighed because that was a perfect match with the dress that she wanted to wear today.

She couldn't find them anywhere in her closet, so she started to panic.

"I don't know where I have put them." Hannah mumbled and was about to untangle her hair in frustration when she remembered she had just done them a while ago, which made her hands drop again.

But the feelings of frustration lingered in her heart. She thought hard and recalled where she had last seen them.

The last time she had seen her heels was when she had been tidying up her room.

Afterward, she had gone to the kitchen with Marianne and cooked dinner together before they went out to eat. She could not remember whether or not she had put them away after that.

"Mama!!! Mama!!" She was calling her mother now after not taking it anymore and accepting that she would not be able to find them today.

So, while giving up, she called for her mom's help. Perhaps she knows where Hannah abandoned them in his haste. After several minutes, her mother came out, responding to her plea.

"What are you shouting to- what happened?" A woman in her early fifties was walking towards the bed, and her eyebrows were in a frown as she stared at her daughter's frustrated face.

"Mama. I am so frustrated right now. Please tell me you have seen my yellow pair of heels? I-" her mother smiled, reassuring her that she had seen them.

"Yeah, I saw them."

"Where?" Her mother looked around the room, where her daughter's neat dresses were strewn about on the bed and on the floor.

She sighed and didn't complain about the clothes right now.

Somehow she already knew that something urgent had come up; that's why Hannah was being reckless right now.

She tried to remember where she had put them last time, when Hannah left them in the living room.

She couldn't help but think of Hannah, who had grown up in this house and was now out on her own, living her own life, but still regarded as a baby by her. What happened to her was hurt full for them too. Hannah had stopped eating and would stay in her room all day long. Mrs. Matthew would cursed that boy they called their son-in-law.

She bent a little near the bed and saw the same heels on the floor under the bed.

When, Hannah saw her mother looking down, she also glanced down, and thankfully, she found them.

She picked them up and put them on. She didn't know why she had left her heels under the bed, but when she thought about it.

She remembered that she had been very tired that night and hadn't wanted to walk around the house in them.

"Thank you, mama. You are the best." She had started praising her mother with lovely words and also wearing the heels, strapping them properly.

Hannah was elated that her mother had found the missing heels, as she had been frantically searching for them earlier.

"Where are you going?" Alice, her mother, wasn't able to avoid asking the question she wanted to, so in the end, she finally asked.

"Mama... Please pray for me. I got a job in Moore's company." Hannah informed her happily, and she was smiling widely.

"A job? Why do you need a job when you are a business woman?" Mrs. Matthew frowned deeply and waited for answers.

"Mama, it's not just any company. You know Brother Zade?" Her mother nodded, confusion written all over her face as Hannah smiled and said.

"Does you Zayn knows about it?" Her mother questioned.

"No, papa didn't know about it... yet. I am going to work with Brother Zade now. My brand will be known in the market now, and not just because of this mama; in 2023, I will be known as the best fashion designer. With this newfound opportunity, I can now stand on my own two feet and make a name for myself. I think I will let that foxy lose the title then."

She smirked, thinking about the day when her name would be on billboards and she would be known for having the best design, or perhaps she would win an award as well.

She felt like her dreams were going to come true. She had always had a passion for design, and the chance to finally turn it into a career was the motivation she needed to make her dreams come true.

She could have take help through Matthew corporation but Matthew weren't into the clothing.

They trade with electronic's and have a recent collaboration with Japanese company.

Her father was out of the country. While her uncle was looking things here.

She was determined to make her mark on the designing world, and with that determination came confidence.

She had worked hard, never giving up in spite of the many challenges she faced.

She had a deep desire to help others and was always there when someone needed her.

She was also a good listener who could provide advice and support to those who needed it most.

She was so obvious about her mother, who was now looking at her with wide eyes as if thinking. What happened to her daughter today?
