Chapter 3 - Chapter 8

"I'm on time." Hannah was standing in front of Moon Company. She took deep breaths and walked inside with hope in her eyes and a goal in her mind.

When she entered, her eyes widened, and she gasped in shock.

The inside was so luxurious that she had never seen anything like it before. Glass, glass, and more glasses. The company floor was covered in beautiful tiles that allowed you to see your face clearly.

However, now she understood that Moore was indeed very rich. She was impressed by the attention to detail in everything she saw.

She didn't know why she was so shocked to see just the interior when she knew that Moore was the only rich family and company in New York.

Even the Prime Minister of the country has access to Moore. Furthermore, Mathews Company wasn't beautiful compared to this.

She wouldn't be shocked when, one day, some members of Moore started politics too.

She couldn't believe it. She had a feeling that she would be able to get used to this lifestyle as well, but she didn't know how long it would take.

They have access to every business. Hotels, resorts, the entertainment industry, electronics, and even politics. Moore was always so rich that she had no idea.

Somehow, noticing her behaviour, she composed herself hurriedly and walked forward.

"How can I help you, ma'am?" A girl in her early twenties asked. Hannah was startled to hear the voice nearby, and then she saw that she was standing in the reception area. She was so in awe while looking around that she didn't noticed where she was going.

She was dressed in a dark blue uniform and had a bright smile on her face.

Hannah was surprised to see that she had long hair down to her waist, which was rare for Chinese women. She looked like she just graduated from college.

She quickly put on her professional demeanour and said, "I'm Hannah. I'm here to meet Mr. Moore."

"Are you asking about Senior Moore?" Hannah agreed with a nod of her head. But the girl was baffled and glanced at her shoes. She was examining her as if she would get to know who she was.

"I'm sorry, I have never seen you before. But I was wondering if you had any appointments with Senior Moore."

"Appointment?" Hannah frowned. "Do I need an appointment? Have I ever requested an appointment with Mr. Moore?" she wondered aloud.

"I don't have one. Can you tell me where his office is?"

"Sorry ma'am. You aren't allowed to meet Senior Moore if you don't have an appointment with him. I would like you to go back."

"Go back? What are you saying? I don't need an appointment to meet him. You can ask him." At this, the receptionist's eyes widened and then narrowed, knowing very well where this topic was going.

She had met many girls like Hannah, who acted as if they were superior and knew the Moore very well.

In fact, she was an employee of this company and had never met Senior Moore in person.

She never had a talk with the CEO and vice president. And look at this girl, saying she didn't need an appointment to meet with Senior Moore, not the CEO or Vice President. However, thinking about this, she started grinning in front of Hannah.

Hannah frowned and then glared at the girl, who was wasting her time. "Can you tell me, or do I need to ask someone else?"

"You can ask someone else if they will help you. But I can't call him because it's against our rules. You can wait outside."

Hannah felt embarrassed, but it wasn't the girl's fault. Maybe it was her fault that she hadn't asked for an appointment.

But why did she need it when Senior Moore had told her to meet him today? He himself invited her. And there she was, without the senior Moore, the CEO, or even that sarcastic jerk.

She must be a fool to think that someone like them would come for her. She walked towards the sitting area near the entrance and looked around.

Then, as if she realised she needed Mrs. Moore's assistance, she took her cell phone out of her Gucci bag.

She dialled Mrs. Moore's number, which was saved as mother-in-law's.

At that time, she only thought of her as her mother-in-law, but right now their relationship had changed totally.

"Hannah, dear. How are you? I am so surprised and happy to see you have called me." A cheerful voice came from the underside of the phone, which made Hannah smile unknowingly.

"I am fine, thank you. How are you?" Hannah looked at her watch and found that it was still early in the afternoon.

"I am fine too. I'm about to walk into the kitchen to make lunch." Hannah nodded her head, but Mrs. Moore couldn't see her nodding.

"Oh, I see. Mrs moore, there is a problem, and I need your help." At her words, Mrs. Moore became attentive and asked.

"What it is. You can ask me anything you know." Hannah smiled genuinely this time and glanced around.

"Actually, I am in the company right now. But the receptionists told me I needed an appointment before meeting with Senior Moore. I am sorry, I forgot to make an appointment and-"

"Wait, wait. Who said that to you? Oh my God. Wait, let me make a quick call." And the call was terminated in this manner.

But somehow, a sweet smile has come to Hannah's face, and she has closed her eyes.

For a time, her embarrassment was replaced with love for Mrs. Moore. She was a beautiful and polite lady, and her son was the complete opposite.

But it was a shame that she had been hurt by her son. She was just thinking that she would be an asset to the Moore family and try her best to make Mrs. Moore happy.

Objectively, Aaron's mother was over the top. But subjectively? She was

infectious.

Hannah was a little upset. After all, they shared a common enemy—her son!
