Jasmine's mind reeled as she stared at him, unsure of what to say or do next. Marriage? To a stranger? It was crazy, it was impulsive, it was.... She looked at Sebastian, searching for answers in his eyes. Was he serious? Did he approach her on purpose last night?. Was this just a ploy to get her to agree to something? And what would it mean for her future, for her career?. How could he just decide to marry a stranger that he knew nothing about just to help her save her career ?. No, it made no sense to her. Something else must definitely be up. Her mind was in chaos, a lot of questions ran through her head , she hesitated, unsure of which one to ask first. Finally, she settled on the most pressing one. "Why do you want to marry me?"she asked, her voice laced with skepticism. "I'm a stranger to you, after all." Sebastian's expression was calm and collected. "You're not a total stranger, Jasmine," he replied. "I'm familiar with your work. You're a talented actress, and you're quite popular." He paused, his eyes locking onto hers. "Besides, I think we'd make a good team." Jasmine's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with doubts. She wasn't sure she bought his explanation. And then, he brought out an envelope from his drawer. He pulled out the content of the brown envelope, her eyes widening as she saw the words "Marriage Agreement" written boldly on the page. "What's this?" she asked, her voice firm. "This is a contract outlining the terms of our marriage," Sebastian replied, his tone matter-of-fact. "It's strictly a marriage on paper, Jasmine. We'll go through the motions, attend the necessary events, and maintain a public facade. But privately, we'll live our own lives." Jasmine's eyes scanned through the contract, her mind reeling with implications. She was convinced now that Sebastian had approached her on purpose, given the fact that he had a contract ready to go. "You're really prepared for this, aren't you?" she asked, her voice laced with accusation. Now that she thought about it, he wasn't bothered about the rumors that was flying about earlier, as a matter of fact, he was only concerned about his face not showing in the pictures. "Are you per chance the one behind the picture online?"she asked, her tone slightly angry. Sebastian nodded, his expression unapologetic, "I would never do something so reckless. but yes, I'm prepared. Let's just say I have my reasons." Jasmine leaned forward, her eyes locked onto his. "What reasons?" she pressed, her curiosity getting the better of her. Sebastian's expression turned guarded, and he hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Inheritance," he said finally, his voice low. "I need to get married to head the company ." Jasmine's eyes widened, her mind racing with questions. But before she could ask any of them, Sebastian stood up, his expression signaling the end of the discussion. "That's all you need to know, Jasmine. Will you marry me?"Jasmine's eyes locked onto his, her mind weighing the pros and cons. She wasn't sure she liked the idea of marrying a stranger, but she wasn't sure she liked the idea of her career being ruined either. She took a deep breath, her decision made. "What's the next step?. But first, I need to find out who's behind this and why I suddenly can't remember what happened last night" she said, her voice firm. He looked at her seriously and said "I've had my trusted assistant find out. He'll sure get it done soon, don't worry. The next step is to sign the contract so that we can be officially married ". Sebastian's eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he watched Jasmine sign the papers. He was secretly thanking whoever had leaked the pictures, they had made it easy for him to get her to marry him. With the papers signed, the deal was done. They were officially married couples now. "So, what's next?" Sebastian asked, his voice low and smooth. Jasmine stood up, her expression determined. "I need to go to Anderson Entertainment," she said. "I have something to take care of." Sebastian raised an eyebrow. "What do you need to take care of?" Jasmine's eyes flashed with determination. "I need to talk to my team about the pictures. I need to do something to at least subside the rumors." Sebastian nodded, his expression understanding. "I'll drive you there." "No," Jasmine shook her head "I'll go myself. I need to handle this myself." Sebastian didn't push the issue. He watched as Jasmine got ready to leave, her movements swift and efficient.
