Ghosts of failed rebellions.
Cursed remnants of the first Abyss wars.
They poured out of the rifts, howling for blood.
Eve, torn between her guilt and duty, stood frozen.
Shadow, wounded and furious, tore the Aegis chains from his body — the act splitting the very ground in two.
The skies blackened.
