Eve stepped forward, silver light bleeding from her hands.
Tears carved trails down her dust-covered cheeks.
"Shadow... you've become too powerful.You'll tear the world apart — even if you don't mean to."
Shadow's eyes burned like suns.
"I never meant to survive," he said. "But now I exist for only one purpose."
Eve raised the Aegis Code — a fragment of the old world's last hope.
"I'm sorry," she whispered.
And then she struck.
The silver light pierced Shadow's chest — burning, binding, trying to lock away the Abyss inside him.
Shadow staggered.
For the first time since his rebirth, he screamed.
