Chapter 3 - Chapter 3; Auntie, Mommy is back!

Yes, her engagement to him was just a private matter, and he never acknowledged it so publicly to the media houses, and even the kids treated her as a nanny. What else was she hoping for? What else was she expecting?

"Hehehe, we have a lot to handle before we can come to a conclusion, and yes, we never divorced; I think we all do deserve a second chance since it's a matter of health!" He responded, and they didn't know if it was the woman beside her who deserved a second chance or if it was Shen Ruyi who deserved a second chance to start all over.

She tossed the tablet away onto the floor feeling cold all over, the wind today was a little bit too cold, he had never introduced her to the public as his partner and she was very understanding towards him, but seeing how it was now, it could only mean she was the only one in love and in this relationship. She was the only one who had been anticipating their relationship to move forward, and it had never been him. They have been using her all this time.

She rushed back to the mansion and could see the kids seated on the couches.

"Yaay! Mommy is back..."

"Mommy is back..."

"I love the fact that momma is back."

"Mommy is finally back!"

"We don't need to have a stepmom, momma is back... She is back!"

"I don't like any other woman besides my dad; it should be our momma who stands beside him all the time..."

She could hear the kids sing and cheer up from the other side of the lounge as she stood there lost. She felt like a heavy harmer had knocked her chest heavily, and she couldn't breathe well.

The kids were triplets, and she had begun to take care of them diligently since they were just four years old, and now, they were already nine years old. Grown kids who knew what they were doing! After a hard phase has passed that woman just decides to show up like she never ran away.

Was she wrong to think she would be able to fill in the void that their mother had left behind? Was she wrong to think at one time they would be able to accept her as their second mother and not just as their auntie or nanny? Didn't she deserve it? Didn't her actions really not move this family?

Yes, she has loved him since she was young, and when their parents suggested that she get married to him after his wife, who was her elder sister, suddenly disappeared mysteriously. She thought she would have a home, but no, it was just a dream. A dream she has been dreaming for all these years and would never become a reality. Now she realizes how a cursed woman she was.

"Auntie, Mommy is back. Would you still stay here? Would you still be our nanny? Would you still cook and clean for us?" The three kids rushed over to the sitting room where Shen Ruyi was standing gazing into space as tears came down her cheeks. She couldn't control her feelings at the moment.

Yes, they always called her auntie, and the man would always tell them to call her that and say she was their nanny; that's all they knew about this entire situation. He never introduced her as the woman he got engaged to his kids or as a woman he might get married to in the future.

When he had given her a reason, she understood, she understood that kids needed time to adjust. It's been five years and now she understands how foolish she was. If he wanted to, he could have acknowledged her already but no, she was just her sister's replacement.

Every single night, everyone would occupy their own bed; he had never touched her, even just to dry her hair. She thought it was normal and they would soon get used to each other but no, he has been waiting for her return! What about her? What was she going to do after this? Where was her place exactly?

"Auntie, auntie, mommy has returned, shouldn't you be happy? Why are you crying?" The kids innocently queried, eying her suspiciously.

"I will go back to my bedroom." She weakly rushed upstairs to her bedroom. Once she got into her room, she closed the door rushing into the bathroom. She felt like her life was turning upside down, and her stomach was churning heavily, feeling sick from the deeper ends of her guts.

She washed her face several times trying to calm down before going back to the bedroom feeling weak and exhausted. She didn't know why, but she felt like her world was going round and round and couldn't accommodate her.
