She has been sleeping for an unknown amount of time. She could hear heavy knockings at her bedroom door; she actually didn't know at what time she had fallen asleep, and she didn't have any energy to do anything. Her head felt heavy and it was like she was having a fever.
She got up from the bed and walked over to the door, opening it up to see who was knocking and waking her up when she wasn't in the mood. The person at the door was her long-lost sister, Shen Li.
Did she want to face her? No, she wasn't prepared and she didn't know what else to do or say. What were her plans? What was she going to do? She didn't have any plans to say anything for the moment.
Shen Ruyi bypassed her as she walked away through the corridor over to the stairs leading to the ground floor.
"Shen Ruyi, I'm back. Can't you even greet me? Can't we have a chat like two civilized sisters? I have missed you and you know I love you." Shen Li walked from the back and held Shen Ruyi's hand, but Shen Ruyi, who didn't want to talk to her, nudged her hand away from her, but she accidentally missed a step at the stairs, falling down to the foot of the stairs.
Her nudging wasn't so forceful that she had to fall down the stairs, right?
"Sister, I just wanted to talk to you, you don't have to be this rough! I know you don't know that I've been sick and I'm just recovering now. Sister, don't be like that! I'm sorry." Her weak voice sounded as her face grew paler. Her lips had spouted out a mouthful of blood spilling all over the white dress she was wearing.

She lifted her hand and held her cheek, which was so red and swollen. Her eyes glistened with tears as her body froze there. Yes, they have always treated her like this, but why? Wasn't she their daughter they gave birth to too? Wasn't she their relative? Why the cruelty? She couldn't understand what wrong she ever did.
"Mother..." She was aggrieved and didn't know how possible it was for her to push Shen Li down the stairs. Whatever happened was an accident, she just didn't want her to hold her hand but she didn't push her down the stairs.
"Mother, don't do that... I just tripped myself. Don't hurt my sister. It was just an accident. Shen Ruyi, mother is just worried because of my health." Shen Li, who was being supported by her 'husband' and kids, weakly spoke up for Shen Ruyi, but every word she said only fueled the situation getting worse.
