It was 1939 world war II had begun.
I was currently 17 turning 18 in one month and of course my parents in this world have mandated that I joined the War. They told me "you won't even have to fight it'll end really fast and you'll get all the benefits"
In this new life my name was Arden Foust my parents are what she would call high School sweethearts. By that I would mean that they had me right out of high school and then dropped everything to raise me.

for some time now Arden had trained Steve that's right yeah Steve Rogers so he could fight in the war. I always thought that he deserved a better end at least better than being written out.
it's been about 2 years since Bucky went to camp and started his training but for a while now he's most likely in Battlefield already. well Arden trained Steve also took some time to travel to other cities and listed a few times.

Both of them were now on a boxing ring Steve was on the floor with his arms and legs open and panting for air I didn't crossed his arms looking at the exhausted Steve.Not much has changed he learned new techniques but he seemed to not be able to put on any weight and doesn't look less like a skeleton and at all.
"at least you've improved your form" Arden said with a smile
"so got any plans tonight Rogers" Arden asked curiously
"tonight I'm going to try again" Steve said with a smirk
"again? what is this your fifth time?" Arden asked
"yes, I can't sit around as a war wages I have to pull my way on weight I can't just sta-"
"whoa whoa whoa calm down I was just asking I'm not trying to convince you otherwise" Arden said
Steve responded back sheepishly"sorry I'm just..."
"frustrated I know, but don't worry Steve I feel you will be lucky soon" Arden said
"on this one" Steve said hopefully
"no the one right after this one, hahaha !!!"Ardin joked again to which Steve rolled his eyes and shoved him playfully.

"well look at lookin all fancy" Arden said with a smirk.
"me what about you I think you are starting to show her on your job although it looks a bit scruffy" Bucky said.
"so where is Steve" Bucky asked
"probably somewhere out getting his ass kicked again"Arden said jokely
"I thought you were taking care of him you know training him and all that"
"I am I've been working with him he's gained a few muscles but that's it he left a few hours ago to enlist again"
"yeah, yeah I know I've been getting both yours and his letters"
turns out that Bucky had become a sergeant he said it was due to his natural talent but Arden didn't so believe him.
few weeks later Arden and Steve went in together Steve on his sixth try and Arden on his first.
as Arden followed he noticed Dr what's his face standing there pretending he wasn't just eavesdropping on Steve for a few minutes.
Arden did a slight bow towards Dr Erskine as they passed. Little Help from the doctor both of them made it in without fail although Arden got in legitimately so.
Steve look like the happiest man alive as he got in this time and he hoped he could help the world you'd always been a nice guy but he never knew how to do much with what he could muster but now he could actually save lives.
Foust and Rogers
those are two names repeatedly screamed by drill sergeants on Camp Lehigh.
Rogers, because he was repeatedly pathetic and holding everyone back always messing up and being clumsy.
Foust, because he was lazy undisciplined and doesn't take the Joe Sergeant seriously while also staying behind with Steve
Arden had protected Steve giving Steve time to do his own thing.
when I told my parents I actually made it in which I was planning to do before they asked. they were overjoyed thinking their son would get a bunch of benefits without any actual combat maybe he'd just be a medic or something they thought.
the next day Arden and Steve were transported on a bus to the state of Virginia..
Arden and Steve then met their drill sergeant Mike Duffy, the sergeant was serious but to Arden he seem somehow funny.
the other recruits don't know but this division of the recruits were picked to be test subjects for the rebirth project, aka the super soldier program
the drill sergeant told us to March on open area line up there's everyone rushed but Arden just walked but not too slowly either
that was when the drill sergeant called my last name to hurry up.
as they lined up and waited a woman showed up it was Peggy Carter. as she spoke up a recruit by the name of Hodge decided to speak up and slander her because she was a woman
she then decided to demonstrate that it didn't matter whether she was a woman by knocking him out.
not long after Colonel Phillips arrived along with Dr Erskine and an unnamed unimportant side character that doesn't matter.
McConnell made his speech about the best men and how they were chosen and how they were going to get better.
the next few weeks as they trained Arden competed with Hodge for the top scores as Steve remained in last.
on combat Arden pounded everyone of the recruits. it was just really hard to hit him little did they know he processed the world just a tiny bit faster than a regular human would.
on the shooting range Arden only went to 100 plus meters targets and hit bullseyes every time almost effortlessly so thinking back on this Arden does believe he played super hot just a little too much.
but if one were to look at his bullets from an outside perspective they would see a almost one centimeter red trail behind his bullet as it seemed to have no bullet drop whatsoever just a steady speed.
it wasn't until on June 20th Wednesday did I already didn't realize it was almost time for Steve to go get his serum because of their morning run at the moment we stopped at our usual checkpoint with Sergeant Duffy calling both Rogers and Foust to catch up.
like in the movie The Flag scene played out Arden hitch to ride with Rogers instead of running with the other recruits the rest of the way.
but in order to take that ride he had to fake an injury. which means he's now in the Infirmary.

the next day they stepped their warm up, up with some exercise before going to do a 5-mile run fully equipped with military gear. is the exercise Colonel came by with Dr Erskine as they talked from a distance looking at the recruits.
Arden could see that Colonel within was not happy with something doctor Erskine was saying although Arden could imagine what he was saying.
it wasn't until after Arden saw colonel grab a grenade and took off the ring and threw it to their warm up area.
"Grenade!!" Colonel screamed
everyone scatters but just like in the movie Steve ran to the grenade and laid on top of it telling everybody to back off. Arden felt a bit mad at the self-righteous idiot laying on top of a bomb.
Arden quickly ran up to Steve pushing him off grabbing this grenade and tossing it as far as he could just to show him what he could have done better but it seems to surprise the other recruits more than Steve's selfless Act.
"Steve buddy, you should know everyone in this Camp is expected to be hurt, that is what we all signed up for, just think about others options before you sacrifice your life"Arden said resolutely.
