THIRD POV:
Violet felt a seething uncontrollable fire burning within her. One that begged to spread.
Swooping down, landing behind her with a hard thud on the ground was a large black dragon with red eyes. It roared before a tornado of wind took it and out came a naked woman with long pink hair and magenta eyes.
Lilith.
She snapped her fingers, and a single thread began to slither over her body, then multiplying, creating a skintight black dress that clung to her curves like a second skin. Her strength and power radiated off her as she approached. Her face twisted in disgust.
"This is what I get for being late. Stuck with the aftermath mess and none of the fun. It looks like we won?" Lilith asked dancing around the bloodied corpses of mortals and wolves.
"I wouldn't say that. They took Odette." Asher yelled to her.
Lilith froze; her blood ran cold "What did you say?"
"They took her, Lilith." Violet screamed.
"And you just let them? You just let them walk away with your daughter? Asher, pathetic." Lilith snapped at him now standing before them.
"I won't let them get away. I'll end them, Lilith. I will hunt every single one down and rip them to shreds to find her and get her back." Violet growled. "I will do WHATEVER it takes."
Asher and Lilith both dropped their jaws, staring wide-eyed in shock at what they heard. Asher quickly recovered, having already seen this new side to her, but hearing her say something like that again didn't make it any less surprising.
Looking at Violet, and really looking at Violet, Lilith stiffened. She was dumbstruck, seeing her sweetest child looking so deranged and psychotic. The woman standing in front of her barely looked like Violet, her eyes were an entirely more vicious and venomous shade of pink. She wore blood strikes like make up. The look of hope that once flooded Lilith when she looked at Violet had disappeared without so much as a trace. Now the feeling that replaced her when looking into Violet's eyes was one of insatiable insanity. For a moment Lilith, the Queen of all those who are Damned, felt true fear.
As a woman whose known loss and vengeance as close and personal friend, she recognized that look.
The look of a madwoman.
"Asher… Um… Have you checked out your wife…?" Lilith asked cautiously. She was afraid to move to suddenly.
"I wouldn't dare." Ash gulped. Violet looked and felt unpredictable, there was a shift in her, and he was unsure how to approach, anything really, with her. Certainly not while his wife looked completely all too capable of forcing him to rip his own throat out.
Absolutely not, he had a species to end, he wasn't ready to die.
"Smart man." Lilith nodded stiffly.
The three of them stood firmly in the place Violet last saw Odette.
Violet turned her head sharply and said to Ash, "Keep that wolf alive, I want to ask it a few things."
Ash and Lilith exchanged looks of terror and confusion.
What wolf?
"My King, we found a survivor, should we kill her sir?" A one of the vampires comes forward asking, bending the knee.
All three now looked at Violet who appeared to be almost floating with the ease she moved toward the man.
"Take me to her."
Violet's voice still sounded as angelic as ever, except now it carried an edge of something so terrifying it could make hair on the devil's ass stand straight.
The poor survivor was about to meet a fate worse than death.
"Ye… ye… yes… My Qu... Qu… Queen." The man stuttered as he trembled in Violet's presence. Her aura was menacing and malice so thick it could be cut with a knife.
Ash felt so hard hearing the fear she put in other's hearts. He wasn't sure how he felt about his wife's transformation, but he knew one thing for sure. He wanted to fuck the shit out her.
The vampire rose and walked shakingly away from the stadium leading Violet, Ash, and Lilith to the baseball field. Bodies were being dragged from all around and identified.
The wolves that attacked, they were left like trash. Some in scattered pieces.
Oliver and Jeremy stood with Vlad soaked to the bone, bathed in blood. The thick smell of iron was a full-frontal assault on the nose. But Violet didn't flinch at the smell or the gruesome site, like she would have previously, no, she walked with no concern from the lifeless bodies that surrounds her. No trace of empathy in her eyes, just cold, curious, and calculating.
Seeing the wounded and defeated wolf girl laid out on the ground, fueled her rage, her murderous intent stretched from her reaching all around, it was stifling and palpable. Tension so thick you couldn't cut it with a knife.
"I spy with my little eyes a dead pup. Unless you tell me what I want to know." Violet's words were sharp and her tone deadly.
"I won't tell you anything. And you can't make me." The wolf spat out.
Violet growled, but an expression of pure sadism. Her defiance is exactly what Violet was hoping for. She was thirsty for blood.
Violet found a new strength in her as she grabbed the heavy wolf girl by the throat dragging her off the ground. The girl clawed and kicked and screamed at Violet, but it only made her smile bigger. Made her thirst for more pain. Her adrenaline spiked as Violet's sharp claws dug deeper, gripping her esophagus tighter. Ther wolf eyes begged for relief. However, Violet didn't care.
Violet released the girl, not wanting her to die, just yet.
"Tell me, where did you take my daughter?" Violet demanded.
The wolf cough, and with a raspy voice in between her coughs and hyperventilation, "to a small village in the woods due east of here."
"Lies" Violet could feel the lie in her voice. She can't explain how she knew, but she did.
Violet's face darkened and her eyes began glowing a violent magenta. Violet slammed a finger into the girl's right eye, tearing it straight from the socket.
The wolf shrieked; she started violently shaking reaching for her face but was halted short by the two vampires. The wolf girl twisted and shouted and howled in excruciating pain.
"You can just kill me, I don't know anything" She pleaded between the sobs and snorts at Violet.
"I think I'll play with food before I eat it." She licked her lips.
Watching Violet swipe the girl's eye from its socket stunned all those Her words sent shivers down Asher's and Lilith's spines, their blood freezing. Who was this woman? They couldn't believe their gentle Violet was threatening to torture her before killing her. The most harmless person in the world, just became one of the most terrifying and dangerous people in the world.
Fear widened the wolf's eyes watching Violet as the realization of the weight her words carried. In that instant she was filled with dread.
Violet looked at her the two vampires holding the girl in place on her knees. "Hold her tight, this is gonna hurt." She said inside their minds. The vampires, almost compelled, tightened their grip, digging their long sharp claws into her shoulder.
Without warning she punched a hole through the girl's chest. Shattering the girl's sternum. Pain flooded the girl's senses quickly, before a bone chilling coldness settled in. she started gurgling on her own blood like it was Listerine. Her body convulsed under the grip of the vampires. Violet watched. Deranged and unhinged her smile was a twisted one.
Violet felt exhilarated, she took the wolfs mouth into her own kissing the frightened dying wolf girl and drained the remainder of her life from her. her very life force Violet sucked through her now poisonous kiss.
Backing away she licked the blood from her lips and then spit it out, "disgusting dirty blooded mut."
Asher and Lilith were rendered speechless. The sheer savagery they witnessed was unsettling. The jaws hung open wide.
"Clean this up and toss the dog in the pile with the rest." Lilith ordered releasing the two vampires.
They obeyed. Violet turned to her husband and King and said in her usual sweet voice. "I miss her, my hearts pain is relentless, and it feels like a constant piercing nag making itself at home in my chest."
"I know, darling, I know."
