Too much bullying of the devil!Ellis just did it on purpose! This guy is an abomination!Ignore him for the next minute.Nyx unilaterally gave Ellis a lockdown.
Nyx was indifferent to Ellis' indifference; after all, the guy had always been like this in his eyes.He rocked back in his chair and bit into a snack, chewing slowly before standing up, barely accepting the reality of 'going to class'.
"Fine, fine, you're not afraid of me misbehaving anyway, so I'm not going to struggle."Nyx shrugged in a forced business-like manner, "But aren't you really afraid?I'm a demon, after all."
Ellis looked at him expressionlessly, his voice calm, "You can't even fool yourself, can you fool the students?"
Nyx: "..."
What a bully to the devil!
But he quickly adjusted his mind, after all, he wasn't going to be pissed off by a few words from a human. He grunted, straightened his clothes, and grudgingly followed Ellis outside.
There were already students in the academy heading towards their classrooms one after another, and when they saw Ellis, they greeted him respectfully, their tones tinged with respect. And when their gazes fell on Nyx, amazement, curiosity, excitement, and even hidden awe were all written on their faces.
After all, this was the first time a real demon appeared in the classroom.
Nyx noticed these gazes, the corners of his mouth rose slightly, and his pace became much lighter.Mom said that gold shines wherever it goes, and he was the Chosen Demon. He lowered his voice and chuckled softly as he said to Ellis, "I have to say, I'm a lot more popular than you are right now."
Ellis gave him a faint look, "You care about such things?"
"Of course, I'm a demon."Nyx admitted without hesitation, "Popularity means influence, and influence, means ... uh, means ..."
He was halfway through his sentence when he suddenly got stuck.
Ellis stopped and looked slightly sideways, "Means what?"
Nyx's eyes fluttered for a moment before he finally came up with a random excuse, "Means ... everyone is discerning?"
Ellis: "..."
Ignoring the bullshitting demon, he continued toward the classroom, and Nyx didn't continue the conversation.
Their first Demonology class was about to begin.
When Ellis pushed open the door to the classroom, the eyes of all the students fell on Nyx almost instantly.
Those gazes were filled with curiosity, amazement, and even some awe. After all, this wasn't just any classroom, but a rare opportunity to come face to face with a real demon.
Nyx clearly enjoyed such gazes as he leisurely walked into the classroom with a lazy smile on his lips, like a confident nobleman patrolling his territory. He even deliberately slowed down his pace, enjoying the feeling of being surrounded by gazes.
After all, he was the only demon in this classroom!
Ellis ignored Nyx's little bit of smugness and walked directly to the podium, sweeping the circle and speaking indifferently, "Today, our lesson will deal with the nature of demons, the principle of contract, as well as the basic laws of interaction between humans and demons."
The students' attention immediately returned to Ellis, and they took out their notes, ready to record.
"Of course," Ellis turned the tables, "since there is an actual demon here, we might as well let him explain some of the content."
The classroom was momentarily quiet for a couple seconds before a murmur of excited whispers rang out.
All eyes returned to Nyx once more, anticipation in their eyes.
Nyx blinked, realizing that Ellis was really planning on letting him go on stage, and he raised his eyebrows slightly, then the corners of his mouth lifted in a meaningful smile, "Oh?Letting me give a lecture?Ellis, you're really bold."
Ellis looked at him noncommittally, not retorting.
Nyx shrugged and paced to the podium in a rather good mood.He cleared his throat and looked around the room, the smirk on his face becoming more enigmatic, "Since this is a demon class, let me teach you something really important."
The students pricked up their ears and their eyes blazed.
