I and Dylan were walking down the sidewalk, he was knee lifting or whatever, I didn't care. I had a headache, but the fresh freezing air didn't help much either, it made my nostrils hurt. We made it to the trails, and he started to jog, so I caught up, jogging alongside of him.
We were jogging along a dirt trail, with a creek beside it I could feel my breath hitching with each step, I took a breath. "Man- how long until we take a break?" I asked between huffs.
"Just keep going" Dylan said, which made me groan.
We arrived to a lookout spot, there was a beautiful waterfall and trees around, the birds were singing, and the sun was only just coming up. Dylan stopped, but he slapped me in the shoulder. "We're not stopping yet, jumping jacks." Dylan said, starting to do jumping jacks. I huffed, following along. I was starting to feel sore already, I hated his routines.
"Push- ups!" he dropped to the ground, which I followed, starting push-ups. I knew my posture was horrible, my arms hurt, and I didn't want to fall behind though. Dylan stood up, so I stood up with him, he started to jump in place, I took a deep breath, and started to jump with him.
Dylan started to jog down the path again, and I quickly ran after him. "I can't breathe dude!" I complained, I was patting my chest as we jogged. "Learn to!" He continued.
Soon, we made it to a sidewalk back into the roadways. We jogged on the sidewalk, passing many buildings, and we soon stopped at a Starbucks, we went inside, I felt so weak already. "Hey! Can we get two water cups please!" Dylan said to the employees. The current cashier nodded, grabbing two small cups and handing them to him. He passed a cup to you. "Get some water dude, get you cooled off before we run home." He walked to the fountain drinks, there was many choices, but he still went for ice and water, I did the same. "Did I hear you right?" I asked, which he grinned. I shook my head, drinking the cold water. It was so refreshing, I felt it run down through my body. I refilled the cup with more water. "Wow man, you're really out of it, huh?" Dylan smirked.
"It's whatever dude…let's go." I sighed, finishing my water and stretching real quick, before we threw our cups away and continued our jog. I managed to breathe this time, but it still sucked, but he was not jogging, I groaned, and had to run after him. "Slow down, Dylan!" I complained.
"I said we're running home!" He yelled back to me, I huffed, picking up my pace.
We made it to our neighborhood, still on the sidewalk, he went into the paths in the trees, again. "Can we walk, Dylan, I'm getting so sore!" I complained, "Chill out dude were right behind home!" Dylan said, as we ran through the paths, arriving to our property. I sighed, relieved we're home, I sat in the living room, catching my breath, and resting.
