Chapter 14 - [ Chapter XIII (13): "HOUSE VISIT FOR THE BLAKE RESIDENCE" ]

[ Chapter XIII (13): "HOUSE VISIT FOR THE BLAKE RESIDENCE" ]

In the small City of San Diego, California. Also known as America's Finest City. A family of four which consist of a father, a mother, an eldest son, and a younger daughter could be seen panicking racing from one end to another of their small yet spacious enough apartment.

Why you may ask? That is because they are receiving a guest today. The Baker Family renowned for their love for animals extended to one particular person...

A seemingly renowned Professor and Headmaster of one private institution— the first and only school of magic known to the family... Which is also called Hogwarts.

[ "Okay, so wait... That letter wasn't a joke...?" ]

[ "Buddy, pointing is disrespectful." ]

Mrs. Baker wasn't calling her son a friend, or buddy-buddy. But is actually calling her son by his nickname; Buddy. That, or be called Bernhardt which is a tongue twister to some, even to the kid's family, so they instead resorted to calling him Buddy— a nickname.

And Buddy at the moment is pointing incredibly at the sitting man in front of them, his eyes wide; which was then stopped by his mother elbowing slightly on the side, not painful, but enough to make the rebellious kid lower his pointy hand; [ "O-oh, sorry..." ]

 [ "It's alright, and yes." ]

[ "Mr. Bernhardt Baker, you are what we call a wizard." ]

 [ "Awesome...!" ]

He smiles to himself, remembering the feeling of reading the mysterious letter given to him by some Owl that barged last night— in their home, in the middle of the night, which woke up all members of his family.

And all of them in spotting the Owl wearing a pouch became confused. Confused even more when the said Owl grabbed something from inside the pouch, and gave the son of the family— Buddy, a letter... Hogwarts Letter.

They read it, noticing the pictures in the wax moving. Then noticed the intended receiver— which is Buddy, the location wherein their son is on at the moment, and wherein he sleeps in— second-floor, far-left room written at the front.

But the weirdness didn't end just there. To the family's disbelief. Mr. Baker, Mrs. Baker, Ms. Baker, and even Buddy watches when he finally breaks the waxed red seal.

This then caused the envelope to uncontrollably move, before then... A life-sized reddish lion roared out to their faces, then another following suit; a gigantic emerald snake slithering across the room.

A giant orange badger roamed their house, and finally a ra- no, a blue eagle soares high in their house causing the family of four to huddle together in fear— to the daughter and son's case, in awe.

The said four animals jumped out of the small envelope, which to itself is already impossible; only explained by magic. Before then disappearing a minute later...

Which left the Baker Family confused, scared, and even worried that something else might come out from the letter. Perhaps a nuke, perhaps a wizard, perhaps narnia is inside the letter so they didn't touch it for a long time.

 [ "You touch it!" ]

 [ "D-dad can I touch it?" ]

 [ "N-no!" ]

[ "Mama, let me touch it!" ]

 [ "Absolutely not!" ] (x3)

The Family debated for what felt like an hour, before ultimately deciding to touch the said letter. In not seeing anything wrong, they touched it, then read it...

Then a day later, a house visit from the Headmaster of Hogwarts ensued; causing the family of four to panic and run around like headless chickens.

After finally stabilizing, the family of four could be seen seated on the round wooden table they have, and in front of them all is the purple-eyed Felix dressed in his green Slytherin colored suit, and brown Hogwarts colored trousers.

Calmly drinking a sugar filled coffee in his hand, and answering any and all questions thrown at him by the family.

[ "Oh, oh. Then am I a wizard too?!" ]

[ "Incorrect young lady. Female wizards are called witches; and yes, there is a high chance of you being a witch." ]

 [ "Awesome!" ]

[ "T-then about the price of tuition... The letter said it'll be a 7-year course... We-we don't have that much mon-" ]

[ "Don't worry Mr. Blake. Any and all students of Hogwarts will study without thinking about the expense of tuition, it is a private school after all; and about the money? I'm a wizard, sir, I can create money with ease." ]

 [ "S-so the 7-years... Is...?" ]

[ "Is free, Mr. Blake, you don't have to pay a single peso- cent." ]

He answered the nervous-looking patriarch of the family's question, which seems to ease it. As he notices the family one-by-one sight in relief. Then the questioning continued; this time, it was the matriarch's turn.

[ "Okay, Mr... Harp, right?" ]

 [ "Felix Harp, and yes, ma'am." ]

[ "Where is... Hogwash to be exact?" ]

 [ "Hogwarts, ma'am." ]

[ "Okay, Hogwarts. Sorry... You may be offended about this Mr. Harp, but why have I and my family only heard about this wonderful institution today— approximately 14 hours ago. Why?" ]

Because I didn't use Owls 2 weeks ago...

Because your family wasn't included in the family I visited, before today that is...

Because I was stupid enough not to use Owls in the first place...

Because Hogwarts is a newly established School...

Because Hogwarts is a school for magic residing in a literal Pangea-like world, one wherein Dragons exist... Ma'am...

Plenty of answers came to Felix's mind, which he then discarded. Them answers not being advantageous for him, and instead of reassuring the scared family; it might just scare them more, at the point of fainting.

Felix doesn't want that... He has already experienced that plenty of times after all... And most of the time, it caused the guardians of the students to not accept going to his school— Hogwarts, which is a bad thing.

A bad thing for him, a bad thing for them— children especially as they now couldn't study magic. This happened to three potential students, and that's three fantasies ruined by his idiocracy.

Taking deep breaths, Felix thought about the question very carefully and let out an answer; a carefully calculated answer that would hopefully calm down the trembling Mrs. Blake, and reassure the rest more.

 He decided to be truthful.

[ "Uhh- you see, Mrs. Blake. Hogwarts have only recently been established, with little to no students yet." ]

 [ "No, studen-!" ]

[ "But, I wholeheartedly assure you... That in less than three years, there would be about ten thousand students crowding the school all from around the world... That I can assure." ]

He tried his best to assure her. A socially awkward man like him, someone who much prefer staying inside his own home— Hogwarts, as long as his away from McGonagall that is, is now outside; trying his best to calm down a lady who's about to fume in anger; [ "Ab-absolutely not. No..." ]

[ "My son— Buddy, will not study at Hogwarts." ]

 [ "B-but mom!" ]

[ "D-darling, maybe we should think abou-" ]

[ "Brother is not gonna learn magic?!?" ]

Felix sights to himself... He couldn't disagree with her decision. I mean, who would easily believe a mysterious purple-eyed man that suddenly claims to be a wizard, offers a 7-year scholarship, claims that their son is a wizard— and does not have any ulterior motives.

Even him, Felix, of sound mind albeit a little messed up, wouldn't easily believe it. So he couldn't refute what Mrs. Baker decided for her son's future... His 7 year future, with the latter only being a 10-year old.

So with one last deep sight, the light of hope in his eyes slightly dimmed. Another child not being able to study at Hogwarts. As he then begins to open his mouth; [ "I understand Mrs. Blake, I-I'll respect the decisio-" ]

 [ "But...!" ]

[ "If you could in some way, shape, or form at the very least assure to me and my family the safety of my son in this said school... Then you'll have my approval." ]
