First Person – Shin's POV
Three years have passed since I was reincarnated. Honestly, not much has happened—unless you count eating, sleeping, and being treated like a baby as important milestones. Now I'm four years old. My appearance hasn't changed much, though I must say I look even more handsome now. My face still carries that innocent charm—big green eyes, soft cheeks, and a cuteness that makes aunties go wild.
And yes, I'm still small, but undeniably adorable. My eyes? A deep green that sparkles like gems. I swear, they make every mom I meet squeal in delight. Heh.
Lately, I've been wondering: will my quirk awaken today? Tomorrow? Who knows. For now, I just want to enjoy my birthday.
"Shin-chan! My gosh, you're so cute!" my mom squealed as she hugged me tightly, rubbing her cheek against mine.
Our living room was lit up with decorations—balloons, streamers, and all the birthday vibes you could imagine. Our home was filled with laughter and familiar faces—my aunts, uncles, and cousins. I'm pretty close to all of them, perks of being an outrageously cute kid.
My eyes scanned the room until I spotted my dad near the door, laughing with his old friend Sasaki Kensuke—aka Pro Hero Snipe. Yup, the real deal. He's here at my party.
Sasaki-san looked cool as ever—slightly tanned skin, dreadlocked hair flowing past his shoulders, and a calm, collected vibe that screamed "badass." He and Dad have been best friends since middle school, so I guess it's no surprise he showed up.
Long story short, I found myself sitting at the dining table. Everyone gathered around, waiting for me to blow out the candles on my cake.
"Shin-chan, wait a second! Make a wish first, sweetheart," my mom said warmly.
"Okay, Mom!" I closed my eyes and pressed my little hands together.
'Please, God… give me a strong quirk. Something powerful… something that will help me survive and protect in this world.'
"Now, you can blow it out!" my mom said.
Whooosh.
The candle flickered, then died. Applause erupted around the room.
"Happy birthday, Shin-chan!" everyone cheered.
I was… happy. No—really happy. In my past life, no one ever celebrated my birthday. Being an orphan meant solitude on days like this. But now… I have a family. I have love.
Without realizing it, tears began to fall from my eyes.
"Aww, Shin-chan, why are you crying?" my mom asked, a worried look on her face.
"I'm just happy, Mom. Really, really happy," I said with a laugh and wiped my tears.
"Alright, let's cut the cake now," she said, guiding my hand on the knife.
But just as we moved to slice the cake—
BZZZZT!!
Electricity surged from my body, crackling in the air. Everyone jumped back in surprise, eyes wide with panic. The lights flickered.
Luckily, Mom was quick—she placed her hand on mine and absorbed the electric surge. Her quirk let her handle it. But still, I was stunned. My body felt weak, like I had run a marathon.
But even as I slumped in my chair, the biggest grin spread across my face.
My quirk had awakened.

Third Person – Narration
Shin's small body tilted sideways, and he nearly fell from his chair. But his father rushed forward and caught him in time, scooping him into his arms.
His expression was calm, but his eyes showed concern. "We're taking him to the hospital. Now!"
He turned to Aiko, his wife, and rushed out the door. Aiko followed right behind, her heart pounding with worry.
Snipe, still inside, stepped in to ease the tension. "Everyone, stay calm! It's just quirk awakening. It can be intense, but it's normal."
---
In the car, Aiko held Shin's tiny hand tightly.
"My love… how much longer? I'm really worried," she asked, her voice trembling.
"Five more minutes. We're almost there," Karasuma replied, trying to sound reassuring. But inside, he was just as worried.
---
They reached the hospital, hurrying inside. Karasuma approached the nurse's counter with urgency.
"My son just awakened his quirk, and he passed out. Please—we need help."
"Right away, sir. Please remain calm," the nurse said. She gestured for the staff to take Shin into the emergency room.
Aiko clutched Karasuma's arm tightly. "Do you think he'll be okay?"
"He's strong," Karasuma whispered, though his fists were clenched.
---
Minutes passed before a nurse returned.
"Mr. and Mrs. Karasuma, you can come in now."
They entered the doctor's office and saw Shin sitting up on the bed, smiling faintly.
"Hey, Mom, Dad—how are yo—"
He was cut off as Aiko rushed forward and hugged him tightly.
"Oh, Shin-chan! Are you alright? I was so scared!" she cried, rubbing his head gently.
"I'm okay, Mom. Look—I'm strong!" he flexed his tiny arm with a proud grin.
Aiko turned to the doctor. "Doctor… is he okay?"
The doctor smiled. "He's more than okay. He's healthy—very healthy. What happened was a mild stupor from the sudden energy burst during quirk awakening. It's quite common."
He reached into his drawer and handed Aiko a folder.
"These are the test results."
Aiko flipped through the documents—x-rays, energy readings, neurological scans.
Her eyes widened. "Doctor… what exactly is my son's quirk?"
The doctor adjusted his glasses, then smiled.
"Shin Karasuma's quirk is...."
