Chapter 1 - Chapter 001: Transmigration into MC(MINECRAFT)

Cold. Shaking.

And the fresh scent of earth and grass.

Gong Qu curled up and slowly pushed himself upright, eyes fluttering open in confusion.

As the world came into focus, his pupils shrank.

He was surrounded by a perfectly preserved forest ecosystem—flowers blooming in vivid competition, birds circling in the sky.

If it were a vacation spot, it would be idyllic.

But this scene was completely different from the last thing he remembered.

"I remember… a dump truck… barreling toward me…"

He touched his forehead. The memory still carried a phantom ache.

By now, Gong Qu had a decent idea of what had happened.

Just your run-of-the-mill isekai transmigration. Nothing surprising—only this time, it happened to a burnt-out office worker like him.

He closed his eyes and drew a deep breath, taking in the unfamiliar sensation of a healthy body. His previously numb gaze began to clear.

"The top priority is figuring out what kind of world this is."

He walked over to a large tree and gave the trunk a few knocks—then, strangely, felt a sudden urge to punch it.

Looking at his own fist, then at the ancient tree with its bark tough as stone...

He hesitated.

"This feels... weirdly familiar."

Curiosity ultimately won over caution. Gong Qu threw a punch.

Thud!

A crisp sound rang out. Oddly, there was no pain—but he had indeed landed a solid hit on the tree.

Thud, thud, thud!

He pummeled it several more times, and with each blow, the area he struck visibly shrank.

"The déjà vu is getting stronger."

Driven by a growing hunch, Gong Qu continued.

A few dozen seconds later—

With the final strike severing the last bit of support, the massive tree collapsed with a crash.

As it hit the ground, it disintegrated into countless brown blocks, sticks, and saplings.

[Achievement Unlocked: Timberrrrr!]

[Reward: 100 World Coins]

The message floated above Gong Qu's head.

He crouched and began picking up the scattered oak logs, then nimbly opened his inventory and crafted dozens of wooden planks—followed by a crafting table from four of them.

This was Gong Qu: 21st-century civil engineer and overworked corporate drone. A die-hard Minecraft fan.

Half an Hour Later — A Hillside

Gong Qu munched on a pristine, pesticide-free apple.

"One thing's clear: I really have transmigrated into the world of Minecraft. Even though everything here looks ultra-HD with photorealistic textures, the basic mechanics still follow vanilla MC rules."

He felt a pang of regret for not picking up redstone skills from his computer science buddy.

Back in their multiplayer days, he—being the civil engineer—spent all his time building massive Baroque-style palace complexes. Basically, an in-game career shift.

His lifelong best friend, on the other hand, was a comp-sci major who always mocked redstone builds as "adventure pack nonsense"—only to obediently go build mob farms, villager trading halls, and redstone contraptions a moment later.

Honestly, if he had been the one to transmigrate instead, he'd probably be thriving by now.

At the very least, he wouldn't be struggling for basic resources.

"Wait, there's that 'World Coin' thing—could that be my cheat code in this world?"

With a thought, his inventory interface shifted to something resembling a shop menu.

[Newbie Pack – 100 World Coins]

[Supporter's Red Potion (12 bottles) – 100 World Coins]

[Supporter's Blue Potion (12 bottles) – 100 World Coins]

[Bottle o' Enchanting – 1 World Coin]

[Random Mod Pack (First Time) – 100 World Coins]

[Lucky Draw (1x) – 100 World Coins]

[Lucky Draw (11x) – 1000 World Coins]

[Lucky Draw (120x) – 10000 World Coins]

A classic 3x3 grid—eight items around the edges, with options to "Buy" or "Refresh" in the center.

"This janky UI… is this an unfinished browser game or something?"

Muttering to himself, Gong Qu selected the Newbie Pack without hesitation.

He'd spent the past half-hour punching trees barehanded and stockpiling nearly ten stacks of logs. He was just about to start looking for a lakefront plot to build a house.

This pack was perfect timing.

If it included a colony mod or something, he wouldn't even have to build. Just drop a blueprint and presto—instant base.

"Open Newbie Pack."

As he mentally triggered the action, the bundle in his inventory opened automatically.

[Mod Pack Unlocked: DragonQuest Adventures]

[Supporter's Red Potion x12]

[Supporter's Blue Potion x12]

[Construction Blueprint: Forest Cabin]

[Maid Summoning Charm (Unused) x1]

The familiar chime of rewards rang in his ears.

Just five items, but to Gong Qu, it felt like winning the lottery.

"DragonQuest Adventures? Is that the one I'm thinking of?"

As a relatively new MC player with only five years under his belt, he'd dabbled in some of the most popular modpacks.

Infinity, Another Life, Divine Engineering, Nature's Journey, DragonQuest Adventures—each one practically a whole new game. Every start brought new surprises.

"I just hope it's not that version... The one with the cursed ring."

The Ring of Seven Curses.

A feature added in certain versions of DragonQuest Adventures—an unremovable accessory that spawned with the player.

While it granted strong buffs, it also came with crippling early-game curses: hostility from neutral mobs, weakened armor, and doubled damage taken.

It was a nightmare for beginners. Dying to baby mobs a dozen times in the first hour was considered normal.

"Better to play it safe and get established first. No idea if this world has respawning, and I'm not keen to find out the hard way."

He placed the potions in his hotbar and continued his search for a place to settle.

This time, he had higher standards.

Originally, he figured he'd just dig a hole and bunker down like any good cave-dweller—no fuss about the spawn point.

But with a construction blueprint in hand, he could afford to be picky.

One Hour Later — High Noon

The sun was directly overhead when Gong Qu finally found the perfect spot.

A river had carved out an alluvial plain.

A towering waterfall thundered from the mountain above, fanning out into a massive lake that fed into a river winding toward the sea.

A birch forest lay just a kilometer east. To the west, an expansive green plain.

The fertile land was teeming with life—cows, sheep, pigs, chickens all roamed freely.

"This plain's huge. Should be perfect for farming. If I unlock the colony mod later, this could be the central hub for expansion."

With that thought, he pulled out the Forest Cabin Blueprint.

Suddenly, a giant holographic projection of the structure appeared before him.

"…??"

A sprawling estate, over 100 meters wide and long.

They're calling this a cabin?

Gong Qu stood there, silently processing.
