National Institute for Human Advancement Senior High is one of Japan’s most prestigious schools, credited with producing 80% more successful workers and students than the national average. Renowned for its unique education system that claims to give everyone a fair chance, the truth is much harsher — the school only values its elite students.

Our protagonist, Kyouji Hoshigami, doesn’t enroll to join the society he calls “The System”. He comes to break free from the emotional chains of his past and find a reason to live. After years of isolation in a facility room, he longs to rediscover human warmth and connection.
