Your kid comes out to you in a way you weren't expecting.
You want to be supportive, but you're also processing your own feelings.
What would you do?
Do you make it about your disappointment or confusion?
Or do you recognize that their journey isn't about you, while still giving yourself grace to learn and adjust to this new information?
My kids only ever saw me be abused so the fact that they even know what love is my son may have had sex at 12:00 but he made his girlfriend rose puddle bubble baths and raised her bar really f****** high and if he ever lowers it I will take said bar and teach him a lesson with it 🤣 people make mistakes especially when they aren't given the proper tools to begin with and people who use them as boys to have selfish greedy intentions. But maybe those people have learned from their lessons....
