Scenario:
Your kid is using your ex as leverage in every argument.
"Dad/Mom would let me!" has become their battle cry.
What would you do?
Do you trash-talk your ex and forbid the comparison?
Or do you maintain boundaries while acknowledging that different doesn't mean better or worse—and that playing parents against each other only hurts everyone?
I always tell my kids and my daughter asked me one time why does my dad hate me said he doesn't hate you well then why does he do bad things to you and why does he not acknowledge that it's important to me that he addressed me with them they and I said your dad's like a toddler he doesn't know how to speak so he just screams until he gets his way he loves you he may not love you correct but he loves you you can't judge your relationship with your dad up based off of me I divorced the man bam problem over you're stuck with him so teach him to speak you!
