I couldn't stop staring at her. At lunch, Seraphina sat across from us, her blonde hair cascading over her shoulders as she picked at her food. She was pointedly ignoring everyone at the table, especially Ronan, who couldn't seem to take his eyes off her.

For the past few days, Ronan had been acting strange. Not eating. Following Seraphina with his gaze. Disappearing for hours without explanation. Something had changed between them, but neither would say what.
"Orion, darling," Lilith purred, placing her hand on my arm. "Will you be my date to Alpha Kael's party tomorrow night? I've picked out the most delicious dress."
I shrugged her hand off, annoyed by the interruption of my thoughts. "I'm busy."
"But you haven't even checked your schedule," she pouted, pressing her breasts against my arm.
I pulled away. "I don't need to check. The answer is no."
