Chapter 1 - The Boy Who Cried Alone.

It was supposed to be a day of celebration. A day every child in the Pokémon world looked forward to—their tenth birthday, the day they'd finally begin their journey.

But for James… it was anything but joyful.

Inside a grand, luxurious estate nestled in the Kanto region, a young boy sat on the cold marble floor of his room, knees pulled tightly to his chest. His room was filled with expensive toys and fine furniture, yet it felt like a prison.

Tears streamed down James' cheeks as he stared at the locked door. Not a single knock. Not a single "Happy Birthday."

His parents hadn't come.

Again.

'They never care unless it's about the family name… or money,' James thought bitterly, clenching his fists. 'To them, I'm just a pawn in their business deals.'

The weight pressing on his heart grew heavier when he remembered the announcement from just that morning. His parents, with their usual cold smiles, had declared that his engagement to Jessebelle was now official. Jessebelle—the girl who took delight in making him cry, hurting him, controlling him. His childhood tormentor.

He let out a choked sob.

"I hate this," he whispered. "I hate everything… Why does no one care what I want?"

The pain, the loneliness, the despair—all of it surged within him like a storm with no end in sight.

Then… it happened.

A soft chime echoed through the air, and before his tear-filled eyes, a glowing blue screen shimmered into existence.

[System Initialization Complete.]

[Connecting to host… scanning emotional distress…]

[Justice System compatible with host. Would you like to rewrite your fate? Y/N]

James blinked, wiping his eyes. "Wh-What the…?" His voice cracked in disbelief. "Am I… hallucinating?"

[No, James. This is real.]

[We are the Justice System, and we have chosen you.]

[Do you wish to change your future? To become a hero who brings peace and justice to the world of Pokémon?]

He stared in stunned silence. A… system? Like in the video games he played? And it was offering him a choice?

But then he remembered Jessebelle's smirk, his parents' cold eyes, and the crushing hopelessness of his so-called future.

'What do I have to lose…?' he thought.

"I… I accept," he said quietly. Then louder: "Yes. I want to change everything."

[System linking confirmed.]

[Initiating ability transfer…]

[Ability acquired: "Type Master" – Grants user natural affinity and compatibility with all 18 Pokémon types while also allowing the user to control all 18 elemental Aura's.]

[Let's do our best, Type Master James!]

James gasped as a warmth spread through his chest. For the first time in his life, something felt… right. He wasn't powerless anymore.

He stood up slowly, walking to the window. Outside, the world looked the same—but to him, everything had changed.

No longer just the forgotten rich boy.

No longer a victim.

Now, he was something more.

Something stronger.

"I'll do it," he whispered, green eyes gleaming with resolve. "I'll become a hero. I'll bring justice… and I'll never cry like that again."

The boy who would've become a Rocket grunt…

…had just taken his first step toward becoming the Type Master.
