Chapter 5 - A fancy den

Diana's POV

"Okay," I replied, it's not like I had a choice. The place I was living in was also a large cage. The only difference between his mansion and the place was that I will have to deal with manners everyday, and that was the hardest part.

I thought it would be better to ask him about my curiosity, "I wanted to visit my brother earlier, but the driver refused to drop me off, and your Boss is not giving me a proper explanation," I said.

"It's part of the agreement, ma'am," he said. And I was shocked. "Agreement? What agreement? I haven't signed any!" I said hurriedly.

"Yes ma'am, it is here with me," he handed the file to me and I got seated, the first clause made me feel like I was trapped in a relationship with a psychopath.

"'Part B(Diana) must not question part A decisions (Simon)' What was that I just read?

My eyes moved to the following clauses, and I kept getting more and more flabbergasted. Does the man want a comrade or a wife?

The more I went through the contract the more I found it absurd, but I almost fainted when she went to the penalty part.

"If any party B didn't uphold any of these clauses then she would pay, then she would pay 250 million dollars! What? 250 million dollars? Isn't that too much?" I panicked, looking at Alfred and the man smiled politely.

"The president is just making sure that everything is under control," he says, and I scoffed at his words.

Making sure everything is under control? It was more like it was keeping me trapped, that capitalist! I cursed in my head.

I blocked every other thought about the contract, but I decided to take permission from Alfred to visit my brother before going to the mansion.

"I know the clause says I must listen to Mr.sl Windsor but my brother is leaving soon, so I do not think I will go there without seeing my little brother….so I don't know if.." I said,, trailing off and Alfred nodded his head, understanding my plight.

Of course, he was not that heartless.

"Ok then I would tell Mr. Windsor about your plight," Alfred said, bowing to me and I returned the gesture.

We left the penthouse house, on our way to the mansion I dropped off to visit my brother as promised, and I returned to the car making sure no one saw my face.

I saw the contract lying beside me in the car and I hissed in frustration. I got married to one of the richest men in the country, but it looks like I also signed off my freedom. Getting kidnapped by a psychopath would not be this hard, I thought.

Simon's POV

I looked at my office space that was equivalent to someone's bedroom and the designs were exquisite and screaming money. I was someone that put a lot of effort in making sure everything was to my taste.

I was sitting at his desk as he went through the reports about Diana that were sent to me, and my eyes squinted when I came across vital information.

"She was once a noble?" I muttered looking at the information, and wondered how she became poor. I was curious.

I do not know if he should investigate the bankruptcy. I found her last name familiar anyway.

"Maybe I should have my men investigate more about it " I said, then I got up from my seat and made my way out of his office.

I was the only one left in the company, except for securities. I dismissed my guards early. He decided to go home late alone, so I got to the parking lot and to a well polished, expensive car.

I noticed I had an uninvited guest in my car's backseat, but I decided to play along like I noticed nothing.

I drove in the opposite direction of my mansion, I stopped the car in front of an abandoned construction company where there was no light, talk less of a CCTV.

I knew the man hiding might be wondering where they were, because only the ray of light from other streets could be seen, but I knew he decided to be calm.

I got down from the car and rested my back on the car and knocked on the car door.

"You should come down, and stretch your muscles, don't you think, it must be so tight in there?"I said leisurely, with a dangerous smirk.

I knew by now the man must have caught on that he was already in trouble but instead of listening to me he decided to attack which was a wrong move on its own.

The man got down from the car through the trunk, intending to attack me.

Before the man could attack, I already pointed a gun at his forehead, and the man froze up knowing a single movement can cause his death, because I knew that he knows me to easily kill him without leaving a trace that could lead to him, knowing the kind of person he was dealing with he had to surrender.

"Who is it? And what is your task?" I asked, my aura has become darker than always, which makes the man shiver but still doesn't have a will to talk.

I looked at the man and he scoffed at his loyalty level, "not ready to talk?" I asked, the man refused to say a word.

"You have pretty nice pants on," I say, my eyes lingering on his legs and I shot the man's knee, the man fell and cried out in pain, "do you still not care to talk," I asked, and the man looked at him.

"I will give you five seconds to talk, and if you decide to stay silent, I'm afraid I do not know where the next bullet will be placed," I says in a threatening tone.

"I'm curious too, I shall start the countdown now, 5,4,3....," the man's voice interrupted before Simon finished counting, he knew I did not make empty threats so he gave in.

"I will talk," the man says, and I hummed in reply, "the person is....," The man was talking in pain, and Simon impatiently looked at him..
