The airport, as always, was bustling with the hectic buzz of melancholy airness. Passengers sitting on metal benches were boredly scrolling on their phones, people were gossiping in the corners. Kids rushed up and down the aisles, tripping and falling, laughing and crying.
In fact, it seemed that no human in the airport seemed to notice three depressed people walking along them. Ishar was depressed because of Naren, Naren was depressed because of Ishar, and Anjani was depressed by their continuous childlike squabbles.
It was the greatest relief to Ishar when he saw his friend Pratap waiting for them in a civilian car at the doors of the airport- now, his pain would be divided among others.
"Naren, Anjani, meet Pratap Roy- my BSF teammate, a computer genius, and a loyal soldier." Ishar introduced.
"Nice to meet you Pratap." Anjani said smiling, as they shook each other's hands. Pratap smiled back.
"Yeah, nice to meet you Pratap. Haven't heard from you in a while. After all, the last time I saw you, you put a lizard in my coffee." Naren smirked and said, putting his hand forward.
Anjani tried hard to cover her laugh as a cough. Pratap's smile was wiped from his face as quickly as it came, and a scowl (along with a slight blush of embarrassment) replaced his face.
"Well, it was a fake lizard- nothing harmful." Pratap said, shaking his hand. "Anyways, come on, let's go. Our team has already started the investigation, you guys can start yours as well. If anything, maybe this is the spot where we can find all our answers." he added.
Seating into the car, having already taken a good nap, the four of them departed to a small, one-story house, which had a classical and beautiful South-Indian tinge to it. After introducing Naren and Anjani to Karan, Gargi and Aniket, all of them started vigorously working on their respective cases.
