Nivedhan looked at them closely and then, very slowly, in a heartstopping moment, nodded his head. Aniket threw his head back and scoffed.
"When did they come to your home?" Ishar asked Nivedhan.
"Around a week ago-," he replied,
"-they told me to take them to some desolate area 30 miles into the sea. They said that they were searching the spot for some hydro energy project, and wanted to see the water and weather conditions. But…I have a bad suspicion that they were searching for something else, though I couldn't figure out what. They were really secretive for businessmen."
Aniket smiled and nodded. "Is there anything else you'd like to add?"
Nivedhan's face contracted into a look of pure fear in a blink of a second. His hands began trembling slightly.
"T-t-there was this look on their faces. It was like a deceitful mixture of insanity and evilness. Each time they spoke, they had a rasp to their voices, like something was holding them back, like they were so close yet so far away from something. I, for one, do not think they are up to any good." He finished, his voice breaking slightly.
There was a suppressing silence in the air. Breaking out from the contradicting trance, Aniket and Ishar thanked Nivedhan for his cooperation. Just as they were about to turn, Ishar remembered something.
