Chapter 3 - The Birth of Rivalry

After Some month that ,Margaret have been living with Emily and her father She got pregnant,

Margaret's pregnancy had been a whirlwind, with Emily's father doting on her every need. Emily had tried to be supportive, but as the months went by, she couldn't help feeling like she was losing her father's attention.

The arrival of Lily, Margaret's baby girl, brought a mix of emotions to the household. Emily's father was overjoyed, showering his new daughter with love and attention. Margaret seemed thrilled, cooing over Lily's every coo and giggle.

But as the days passed, Emily noticed a change in Margaret's behavior. Gone was the warm, friendly facade; in its place was a more controlling and manipulative personality. Margaret would often make decisions without consulting Emily's father, and her expectations for Emily's behavior around Lily seemed unreasonable.

"Emily, make sure to sterilize Lily's bottles and toys," Margaret would say, her voice firm but sweet. "And please, don't touch her without washing your hands first."

Emily felt like she was walking on eggshells, constantly trying to avoid Margaret's criticism. She began to feel sidelined and unwanted, like she was no longer a part of her father's life.

One evening, as Emily was helping with dinner, Margaret swooped in, taking over the task. "Let me do that, Emily. You're not very good at cooking, and I don't want you to burn anything."

Emily's father, engrossed in playing with Lily, didn't notice the tension. But Emily felt it building inside her. She realized that Margaret was trying to push her out of the picture, to make her feel like she didn't belong.

As the night drew to a close, Emily retreated to her room, feeling frustrated and alone. She wondered if things would ever go back to normal or if Margaret would continue to dominate her father's attention.

The rivalry between Emily and Margaret was brewing, and it wouldn't be long before it boiled over.

Emily's thoughts drifted back to her mother, wondering what she would have done in this situation. Would she have been able to navigate the complex web of emotions and relationships? Emily felt lost and uncertain, but she knew she had to find a way to stand up for herself.

With a newfound determination, Emily closed her eyes, trying to shut out the sounds of Margaret's laughter and Lily's coos. She knew she had a long battle ahead of her, but she was ready to fight for her place in her father's life.
