Third Person :
The sun was setting in a blaze of orange and pink, casting long shadows over the beach.
Jay Jay sat cross-legged in the sand, watching Keifer struggle to tie together palm leaves into something that barely resembled a shelter.
"You know," she called out, grinning, "for a guy who acts all serious, you really suck at this."
Keifer turned to her, mock offense in his eyes.
"Hey, I'm a city boy. My skills are better suited for… other things."
"Like what? Taking selfies?"
Keifer smirked, dropping the leaves.
He stalked toward her, slow and deliberate, until he was towering over where she sat.
"Like stealing kisses from stubborn girls who keep underestimating me."
Jay Jay's breath hitched.
Before she could react, Keifer bent down, pressed a quick kiss to her forehead — maddeningly soft — then leaned back, smirking.
Jay Jay blinked up at him, cheeks flaming.
"You're insufferable," she muttered.
"And yet… you're still here," Keifer said smugly, plopping down beside her, his knee brushing hers.
The ocean breeze was cooler now, sending goosebumps racing up Jay Jay's arms.
Keifer noticed immediately.
Without a word, he tugged her against him, wrapping one strong arm around her shoulders.
Jay Jay stiffened — but only for a moment.
Being close to him was starting to feel dangerously easy.
"You're shivering," Keifer murmured, resting his chin lightly on top of her head. "Come here, stubborn girl."
"You're using the storm as an excuse to cuddle me," Jay Jay grumbled, but she didn't move away.
"Maybe," Keifer said lazily. "Or maybe I just can't stand you being even a little uncomfortable."
There was something fierce in his voice now — something deeper than flirtation.
Jay Jay's heart squeezed painfully.
She tilted her head up to look at him.
Keifer was already staring down at her — gaze dark, intense, almost possessive.
"You don't get it, Jay," he said softly.
"You're mine now. Whether you like it or not."
Jay Jay's breath caught.
The world shrank to just the two of them — the fading light, the crash of the waves, Keifer's arm like a brand around her.
"I never said I didn't like it," she whispered.
Keifer's eyes darkened even more — like a storm building behind them.
He cupped her face in both hands, as if she were something fragile he was terrified to break.
"Good," he murmured, "because I don't think I could let you go even if you begged."
And then he kissed her again — slower this time, deeper.
It wasn't frantic like before; it was claiming.
Jay Jay clutched at his shirt, feeling the steady pound of his heart against her chest.
When they finally broke apart, both of them breathless, Keifer didn't move away.
He just leaned his forehead against hers, thumbs stroking her cheeks.
"You drive me crazy," he said, voice rough. "And I wouldn't want it any other way."
Jay Jay smiled shakily, heart pounding in her ears.
"Me neither," she whispered.
As night fell over the island, they curled up under their flimsy shelter, wrapped in each other's arms.
The world was vast and dangerous and unknown — but here, in this small corner of it, they had found something real.
Something fierce.
Something that belonged to them, and them alone.
