After dressing up, Jessica walked out of the room. She made sure she put Caspian to sleep, her wheelchair rolling on the ground as she picked the pan to begin serving the guest who was all around. The party was so loud that Jessica feared Caspian could wake up.
"Thank you, all of you all, for making it up for the party," Abigail's voice sounded from the front. Everyone's gaze shifted to her as she made the speech.
"You well know the main reason for hosting this party, right?" Jessica asked before continuing. "Those that didn't know, I want to make it openly. Well, something happened that made one of my most precious companies want to go lockdown, but because someone came in and helped, everything is now settled. So, I decided to host a party just to celebrate my success." Abigail spoke with heartfelt words. She didn't even mention Jessica's name inside. She shoved her aside.
Hearing Abigail's speech, everybody began clapping.
"Thank you, thank you so much. I really appreciate," Abigail responded to the pleasantries with a grin.
"Well, and secondly, I want to dedicate the company, which I had successfully saved, to my daughter Isabella. She worth it. It's now hers to control," Abigail added.
"What?" Jessica snapped, hearing Isabella's speech. She was dumbfounded. She couldn't believe it. Just as she was struck with shock, a voice sounded from behind.
"Hey, come over here!" one of the guests called out to Jessica. "Come serve me some wine over here," he added. Jessica turned, then rolled on her wheelchair, barely able to maintain the glass cup on the pan she was holding, the pan dangled as she wheeled forward.
"By the way, you are in a wheelchair, why serving? You are supposed to be somewhere relaxing than doing this," the guest who had called Jessica over said, stretching his hands as he picked up the glass cup. "You are such a beautiful lady, why not I take you for a date?" the man suggested, stretching his hands while rubbing Jessica softly on her chin. Jessica pushed her head away, her face fuming.
"Sorry, I'm not interested," she disagreed, then rolled away.
"That's why you will remain crippled forever! You didn't even appreciate me going for a mere disabled servant like you. Ooh God, what has even gotten to my head?" the man mocked Jessica, shaking his head in a scornful way.
Jessica smiled, refusing to respond to him as she continued walking away.
After a while of serving the guest around, Jessica came across Isabella.
"Hey, servant girl, come over here!" Isabella called out. Her voice was so loud and scornful that it got Jessica annoyed, but she had to just stick to her decision, which is containing her anger to avoid embarrassing herself and the Creek family. The entire mansion was filled with people, but it was looking like no one even recognized Jessica. Though it wasn't her fault, she had been indoors.
Isabella was with her friends at the moment when she called Jessica. The way they sneered at Jessica and laughed at her while she approached them made everything be in a mocking way..l
"Give me one," one of Isabella's friends said, stretching her hands as she picked one of the wines poured into a cup. Then the other did same. When it reached Isabella's turn, she stretched her hands as if she wanted to carry one of the wines on the pan, then deliberately poured it onto Jessica's face.
"Ooooh, sorry, I didn't mean to. My hands mistook you for a trash," Isabella mocked, with a sarcastic sneer, and laughter.
"Why will you—" Jessica tried to talk, but Isabella cut her voice with a slight push of the pan she was holding, which fell onto the ground. The glass cup fell from the pan, shattering on the floor due to the impact.
"Ooh God, see what you have done!" Isabella accused, knowing fully well she was the one that pushed it off Jessica's hands.
"Get that clean! It's part of your job, you disabled, unwanted trash!" Isabella insulted, her voice raising at Jessica.
Jessica stretched her hands to pick up the broken cup, but just as she was doing that, a sharp one cut into her skin making her flinch.
"Ahhhhh!" she groaned, retreating her hand.
"What are you doing? Come on, pack those things off the ground, I hate seeing dirty things around me," Isabella yelled at Jessica.
