Chapter 18 - Mimi's Training

"Teacher Mi, do you look down on me? Do you think I'm incapable of teaching the students of the Saint Class?" Zi Qingyang's eyes darkened.

"Not at all. I'm just concerned that the students might not adapt well, which could hinder their cultivation," Mimi retorted, her tone sharpening as she refused to back down in the face of Zi Qingyang's sarcasm.

Hearing this, Zi Qingyang's expression turned even darker, his eyes glinting with malice. Just as he was about to speak, Solus stepped in at the right moment. "Alright, let's all calm down."

At his words, the two stopped their confrontation.

Solus turned his gaze to Mimi and asked gently, "Teacher Mi, does the academy need to assist you in hunting for a soul ring?"

"No, I can handle it myself," Mimi replied coolly, her tone distant and aloof. With that, she left the administrative office.

Solus watched her leave and sighed softly.

This child, whom he had watched grow up, was always so fiercely independent.

As Mimi walked out, she held Lu Leng's profile in her hand.

"Innate soul power of level 21"

"Divine-level martial soul"

Her eyes sparkled like flowing stars, her thoughts inscrutable.

The sparring match had ended.

With the ringing of the bell, the crowded arena quickly emptied.

Lu Leng returned to the classroom, where the gazes of his classmates had changed. There was curiosity, astonishment, and envy...

But no longer any disdain.

Lu Leng scanned the room and noticed that a few individuals remained calm, their expressions unchanged despite his victory. He made a mental note of them and took his seat.

The class was still a theoretical one, but the teacher had been replaced by an elderly man.

Blah blah blah...

Time always seemed to drag during lessons, but Lu Leng endured until the end of the class.

Today's class concluded, and the afternoon was free time.

After eating alone, he returned to his dorm.

Just as he entered, the door was pushed open.

"Teacher Mimi? What brings you here?" Lu Leng asked curiously, noting how she seemed to time her visits perfectly, "By the way, why don't you knock?"

"You're a six-year-old kid. Why are you closing the door in broad daylight? Do you have something to hide?" Mimi shot back, her tone slightly less icy than during class.

"Even a six-year-old deserves some privacy," Lu Leng retorted, feeling a bit indignant. Did being six mean he wasn't entitled to privacy?

"You're quite protective of yourself, aren't you? I'll knock next time," Mimi said, then unceremoniously sat on the edge of the bed, her ample figure settling comfortably. She held a document in her hand, her slender fingers tapping lightly.

"Teacher Mimi, is there something you need from me?" Lu Leng couldn't help but ask first.

"Of course," Mimi Si replied without looking up. "I've reviewed your profile, and I must say, you're a rare genius. Exceptionally rare. Perhaps the entire Douluo Continent couldn't produce another talent like you."

"Her Holiness the Pope sent you to me, and I believe I understand her intentions. So, to ensure your optimal development, I'll create a tailored cultivation plan for you."

"Teacher, are you giving me special treatment?" Lu Leng asked.

"Is it really inappropriate to give the future Saint a little extra attention?" Mimi Si's icy expression melted slightly for once.

"Teacher, are you so sure that I will become the Saint?"

"I wasn't sure before, but under my guidance, I am certain!" Mimi suddenly stood up, her face radiating unparalleled confidence and dominance.

Lu Leng happened to be sitting opposite her. Her sudden rise caught him off guard. As he looked up, he was met with the prominent sight of her chest.

"Truly domineering," Lu Leng blurted out without thinking.

"Thank you for the compliment," Mimi replied, thinking he was praising her commanding presence.

Afterward, Mimi sat back down and began asking Lu Leng more detailed questions about his life, including many private matters, all of which she probed thoroughly.

Two hours later, Mimi left Room 023.

Looking at the wide-open door, Lu Leng sighed in exasperation. "She doesn't knock when entering and doesn't close the door when leaving. Unbelievable."

The next day, while Lu Leng was still asleep, Mimi barged in without warning.

"Get up! The training schedule is set. We start today!"

"Teacher Mimi, why don't you knock again?" Lu Leng, who had a habit of sleeping naked and was grumpy in the morning, was furious at her intrusion.

"I forgot. I'll knock next time."

Lu Leng looked at her expressionless face and knew she didn't take it seriously.

Soon, they were in the advanced simulation training room of the academy.

Lu Leng stared at a stack of papers about twenty centimeters thick, his mouth agape. "Teacher Mimi, did you really prepare all these materials in one night?"

Mimi expression was a bit odd, but Lu Leng didn't notice.

"Enough chatter. Let's start today's training. Today, we'll mainly test your physical data." As she spoke, Mimi pulled out the first sheet. "First test: Soul Power Recovery Speed. Begin!"

As soon as she finished speaking, the training room transformed. Several soul beasts, ranging from ten to a hundred years old, appeared and began to attack Lu Leng.

"Quickly deplete your Soul Power, then evade the attacks!"

Following her instructions, Lu Leng unleashed a series of soul skills, quickly exhausting his Soul Power. Then, he relied on his physical abilities to dodge the soul beasts' assaults. This test was designed to measure how quickly he could recover his Soul Power during combat, whether fleeing or engaging.

Three hours later.

"Good results. In this scenario, you recover an hour faster than the average person through meditation."

"Next, the second test: Soul Power capacity!"

"Since everyone's physical constitution is different, the amount of Soul Power required to break through each level varies. Although the differences are generally minor, they accumulate into a significant figure."

Another half hour passed.

"Good results. Next, the third test..."

Time flew by during the training sessions. Excluding weekends, Lu Leng had half a day of free time each day, which Mimi promptly claimed for training.

Half a month later, in the advanced simulation training room, Lu Leng sat on the ground, drenched in sweat and gasping for breath. In front of him stood Mimi, her face as cold and unreadable as ever, a pen in hand as she continuously wrote down notes.

After a moment, she tore up the records in her hand and said, "Your physique has exceeded my expectations. The plan I previously devised is no longer suitable. I need to create a more rigorous plan for you."

"What? Even more rigorous?" Lu Leng's jaw dropped. This was already brutal enough—was the training really going to be intensified?
