Chapter 62 - The Superior Female Lead Pampers Her Husband Without Limit 62

"Send them to the bridal room!"

"Yes! Go to the bridal room!"

After the three bows were done, some excited guests began to cheer, shouting loudly. Under the red veil, the new groom's face turned bright red.

Xavi was extremely glad he had the red veil covering his face—this way, no one could see how flushed his cheeks were...

"Send them to the bridal room."

The ceremony official followed the crowd's wishes and shouted the final part of the wedding.

Led by the fifth sister, the guests started heading toward Yanxi Restaurant for the wedding banquet.

Jewel still held her husband's hand as they slowly walked to the new room.

At the door of the new room stood two young servants she had specially arranged for her husband. One was named Yuluo, and the other Yuyan. Both had tied bright red ribbons around their waists for the celebration.

Even Jewel's father added two young servants at his side, named Caiyuan and Caizhen.

When the four saw the couple coming, they respectfully bowed and greeted, "Greetings to the lady and the husband."

Jewel waved her hand to dismiss them.

Once everyone in the courtyard had left, the Fox King couldn't hold back anymore. He quickly scooped up his precious little white rabbit and rushed into his fox den!

Before Xavi could react, Jewel had already gently placed him on the soft, red wedding bed covered with layers of bedding and sprinkled with red dates, longans, and lotus seeds for good luck.

Jewel smiled and lifted the red veil from her husband's head, revealing the beautiful and charming face beneath.

Xavi was a bit shy under her loving gaze and lowered his head slightly.

Jewel sat beside him, hugged him gently, and spoke softly:

"Xavi, I'll go to the restaurant to toast the guests. You stay home and eat well. I'll be back in less than two hours."

Xavi didn't ask much about the details. Instead, he said what he truly felt:

"Thank you, my wife."

He had no regrets marrying someone like her…

From now on, he would do his best to be a good husband for the Jewel family!

He would love his wife, continue the family line, raise their children, respect the elders, and stay together for life…

"Xavi, you and I are one. You don't need to thank me."

Jewel kissed his forehead gently and said, "Wait for me," before turning to leave.

The restaurant was full of noise and cheer.

As soon as Jewel walked in, several business friends surrounded her and kept urging her to drink.

Most of the guests were from the business world. As one of the rising stars in An Town, Jewel had made many connections during her journey as a capable and promising businesswoman. Most of those who approached her for drinks were these connections.

Among them were her rival and friend, Fang Lian, the owner of Xichuan Wine Shop; Lu Zhang, the newly acquainted boss of Yueguang Teahouse; and even the town magistrate, Mr. Mo Yunhai, was in a private room on the third floor, drinking to celebrate the Jewel family's wedding…

But Jewel wasn't foolish enough to drink every cup handed to her. There were about 60 or 70 tables in total. If she drank even a few cups at each one, she wouldn't be able to walk home!

So every time someone offered a toast, Jewel would accept the drink politely, chat with them a bit, and when no one was looking, she would secretly pour the wine into a huge bucket of purified water she had hidden in her storage space.

After going through dozens of tables, Jewel remained sober—more awake than some guests who barely drank.

Still, to make it look real, she did drink a few glasses to give herself a slight blush on the cheeks.

By the end of the banquet, some guests wobbled out of the restaurant, praising as they went:

"Boss Jewel isn't just elegant—she can hold her liquor too…"

Once everyone left, Jewel pressed her thumb on her wrist and quietly peeked at the bucket in her space—it was already over half full of wine…

Clearly, no one had gone easy on her with the toasts!

Also worth mentioning—because of the grand wedding banquet at Yanxi Restaurant, the entire Dongshun Street was filled with a delicious aroma, attracting a wandering doctor named Zhong Le.

She had just turned twenty and had a lively personality. She happened to arrive in An Town and came across the lively wedding.

Seeing everyone smiling and happy, she was curious and wanted to see if she could sneak in for a glass of wedding wine.

As soon as she entered, she saw the bride Jewel going around toasting guests.

Fifth sister saw the newcomer and immediately came forward to greet her.

Although she wasn't sure whether Zhong Le was on the guest list, on such a joyous day, more people meant more blessings. No one would mind a few extra guests.

So she welcomed the young woman warmly, and Jewel even offered her a drink.

The two chatted for a bit and found they liked each other. On her wedding day, Jewel made a new friend.

What she didn't know yet was that this new friend had exceptional medical skills and would one day be of great help!

As night fell, the restaurant's maids and temporary staff from the tea plantation began cleaning up.

"We won't finish tonight. Let's continue tomorrow."

It was her wedding day—Jewel didn't want her staff to be as exhausted as usual.

"Starting tomorrow, the restaurant will close for seven days. Your wages will be paid as usual."

They had done a lot and deserved a proper break.

The tired maids, with dark circles under their eyes, instantly lit up like students hearing school's out.

"Boss, are you serious?"

After being so busy these days, they were completely worn out. If they could sleep in for a few days, life would be perfect!

"Of course I'm serious. You all worked hard. Now it's time to rest."

Hearing this, everyone stopped what they were doing and cheered, "Our boss is the best boss in the world…"

Jewel had originally said she'd be back in two hours, but by the time she finished handling everything and returned home, three hours had passed.

By then, night had fully fallen. A cool breeze blew through the quiet courtyard, where candlelight flickered gently.

When Jewel returned home from the restaurant, Xavi had already changed out of his complicated wedding robe. After being helped by the two young servants to bathe and change, he was now fully prepared for the special wedding night.

Even though she didn't drink much, Jewel felt slightly dizzy when she got back to her courtyard and sat in the small pavilion to cool down with the night breeze.
