Inside a cave curved in a marble rock, a pile of strange spiders with several spear-like spikes protruding from their bodies lay, a guy with silver hair standing on top of the pile with his white sneakers, his too-short black cargo pants and a black jumper seemingly stolen from his little sibling making him look like a clown.
His gaze was fixed on a beauty with short stature, only her round melons and hips making the guy gulp despite the situation being dire.
This time, Amellia's ruby eyes were glowing much brighter, her breath unsteady as she panted.
She stood her back pressed against the pile of spider corpses, all around her, spikes protruding from the wiggling spider in front of her.
It was like being placed on a wall, spears protruding from the wall to surround you, a big creature from where the spikes came from struggling to get to you.
"Boyfriend, what are you standing there for? Come and pull me out of here before these spikes can break."
This made Daniel realize something he had not realized before. When he saw Amellia unable to move, a figure of a mountain of a spider hovering above her, he had thought the goddamned thing had impaled her.
"Demoness, how embarrassing! I thought you're invincible?"
The ruby eyed succubus pouted her lips as if a child throwing a tantrum.
This brought a joyful smile to Daniel's face. Now, he could see that she was only stuck between spikes.
She might have shot her javelin to that Spiky Spider, and when it rolled trapped her between its spears when she was late to react. Because, though still wiggling, Daniel could see a crater in its glowing crystal, cracks surrounding it.
'Thank gods!'
Though that was a good thing to be happy for, things were not good at all.
The still alive Spiky Spikes were pushing the dead one, more and more emerging from the narrow corridor to make the situation more dire.
Of course the spikes were too tough to break so easily. They were going to hold the horde of the spiders for... for a little, not for long.
That's why Daniel ignored the fact that he was in his beloved white sneakers, that they could get scratched or dirty at any moment and went on his belly. The spider he was standing on had fallen upside down, its belly with no spikes.
This gave him a chance to lie flat on it, pushing his arms toward the spikes above Amellia's head.
The goddamned girlfriend was staring at him with a lustful look, making Daniel wonder if all creatures of lust were lustful even at the blink of their deaths.
He flinched the spike to break it, but the thing was as stubborn as the one he broke first.
'Well! What did I expect? That's because it's the second time, the thing would give in so easily?'
"Boyfriend, hurry up!"
"This thing is tough. How am I even going to bend it let alone break it?"
He was right. His current position would not give him any advantage to break the spear. If he was not on a pile of the monster spiders, he would have dangled on it like before so he could break it. Now, he could see no way.
Daniel lifted himself up and kneeled on the black carapace, staring at Amellia and giving up on the idea to break the spike.
"Boyfriend, do you know how difficult it was for me to get that buff body of yours?"
Had she told him about it? No!
He shook his head to play it stubborn, but he knew the meaning of her statement. I went through worse to get your body. That's what she meant. She meant that his body was indebted to her, that he had to utilize its full potential to break the spikes.
"Your body is on the buff level. It's strong enough to break these needles. The only problem is that you want to use it like you used that chubby body of yours on earth."
Daniel didn't know if she was right but he had to try and go beyond his limits to see if he really could break the spikes.
"Easy girlfrie..."
He stopped before he could finish the word girlfriend. It was still odd and strange to him.
Amellia threw a tantrum.
"Boyfriend, why? After the scenes a few minutes ago, I thought you would be as comfortable with the name girlfriend as I am with calling you my boyfriend."
"Well! What should I say? Maybe I still think it's a dream and don't want to believe my life is finally changing when it's not."
"But it is!"
"Let's get you out of there first, okay?"
Just like that, Daniel went flat to his belly again and sent his hands into the spikes. All he needed was to remove the one above her head, then pull her out.
He tightened his grip on the spike and pulled upward to break it. At first, he felt nothing. But then, his hands became sore. He refused to give up. He pulled even hard, making his hands itch. Slowly, the spike started bending, forcing Daniel to let out a roar.
Argh!
He screamed as the cracking sound assaulted his ears, something breaking after that. When the spike was connected to the carapace no more, Daniel pushed himself forward, sending both his arms and head in between the other spikes.
With a look of admiration, Amellia reached for his hands and allowed herself to be carried upward.
However, because one of the spikes was removed, the spiders pushing at the dead one finally got an advantage to push hard and break the remaining spikes.
Daniel saw it before it could happen, and jerked Amellia upward with much much more tremendous speed, standing up so he would pull her further away from the breaking spikes.
As soon as her legs made it through the two spikes where Daniel had to remove the one in their middle to make way for her, the dead spider's spikes gave in, the swarm of spiders behind it pressing on the pile where Amellia had been leaning against seconds ago.
If Daniel was late even a split second, Amellia would have been crushed between the corpses of spiders.
But now, Daniel had her in his hands staring into her ruby eyes.
"Thank you, boyfriend!"
Like any girlfriend would do to thank her boyfriend, her cherries found his lips, enveloping them in a passionate kiss.
'What the f...'
This was too sudden and felt like it was forced. Were they really on that level of affection? Maybe because she spent a month spying on him she had grown a crush toward him.
Despite being weird, the kiss was sweet and addictive.
Soon, their lips parted, Amellia letting out a satisfied sigh.
The swarm of spiders pushing on the pile of the corpses didn't allow him to say anything to her. Because, the swarm kept pushing, making him lose his footing to fall backwards, Amellia still in his hands.
'Damn it!'
