Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: The Oncoming Winds

The sky outside looked gray, as if it bore the hallmarks of an approaching storm. The wind howled, and the sounds of whirlwinds rose in the distance, as Franco and his team continued to move through the scattered ruins of the deserted city. The land, once a witness to great forces, was now silent, as if mourning what had been. But in these moments, determination was greater than anything else.

Franco:

(Surveilling the area with his sharp eyes)

"I think we haven't seen the hardest part of this struggle yet. There's something else on the horizon."

Marco:

(Waving his hands as if to avoid the thought of worry)

"There's always something else on the horizon, Franco. At least this time we're not just facing robots."

Irina:

(In a quiet voice, walking beside Franco)

"But we're facing something bigger. There's something lurking, and we need to know what it is before it catches us by surprise."

Irina was right. The approaching threat wasn't just a machine or a brute force, but something much more complex. It was as if the shadows themselves were watching them, waiting for the right moment to emerge.

As everyone looked around nervously, Franco felt something strange in the air. There was a sense of uncertainty in his heart, as if he were in the heart of a storm, but he couldn't yet pinpoint its source.

Franco:

(With a long sigh, turning to Marco and Irina)

"Something's coming soon. I can't explain it, but I can feel it."

Marco:

(Thoughtfully, looking up at the overcast sky)

"You mean this storm isn't just a storm?"

Franco:

"Yes, but I can't pinpoint what it is. Something's coming, and we need to prepare."

As they moved through the rubble, the team sensed something massive approaching. Lights lit up the shattered walls, and strange sounds began to emanate from dark corners. The world grew silent with every step.

Suddenly, a group of unknown figures appeared before them. They were dressed in dark clothing and moved quickly and quietly, as if they were part of the same shadow. This time, it wasn't a group of robots or ordinary soldiers. These were real people, but they seemed to hold mysterious secrets.

Strange Man (wearing a long coat and a mask):

(In a deep, quiet voice)

"You're Franco, aren't you?"

Franco raised his head apprehensively, trying to understand the intentions of these strangers. But the voice held something strange. It wasn't an ordinary voice. It sounded like someone trying to hide their identity from everyone, but unable to conceal the power within.

Franco:

(Cautiously, watching the man closely)

"Who are you?"

Strange Man:

"Don't rush to ask questions, Franco. We're here for reasons greater than you can imagine. You don't have time to know everything now, but if you're going to survive what's coming, you'll need to know about us."

The words weighed heavily on Franco, and he was skeptical about the truth behind this group. But there was something in this man's words that greatly intrigued him. They seemed to know about Zakrota and the secret of the power he held.

Irina:

(hesitantly)

"Does that mean you're followers of Zakrota?"

The Strange Man:

(with a mysterious smile)

"Ah, no. We're not one of them, but we know more about them than you think."

At that moment, Franco felt as if hidden lights flashed in his mind. Everything was in place, but he was missing something essential to understanding the whole picture. This group held the answer to what he'd always wondered about.

Franco:

(challengingly, moving closer to the strange man)

"If you know so much about them, why don't you reveal the truth to us?"

The Strange Man:

(in a mysterious tone)

"You'll know everything in due time. But first, you must pass the upcoming test."

Marco:

(sarcastically, smiling)

"A test? Sounds like we're in a big game. Well, who wins?"

The Stranger:

"Your victory will depend on your ability to endure what's coming. Now, prepare. Because the coming winds will change everything."

And the words ended, and silence fell. At that moment, everyone felt something heavy in the air. The winds, the ones that had been blowing in the sky, had begun to transport them to a new phase of the battle. A battle that was bigger than any they had fought before.
