Deep in the tunnel, darkness loomed over the group like an inevitable trap. Only the dim light from the small lights embedded in their clothing allowed them to see. The sound of their heavy footsteps echoed throughout, as if the earth itself was breathing with them.
Franco (in a low voice, walking with steady steps): "We need to get to the island as quickly as possible. The robots are behind us, and soon we'll encounter them in the depths."
Marco (moving his lips into a wry smile): "Oh, don't worry. The robots are negligible. What worries me is that there won't be a minibar on the island. If we don't find drinks, we're facing a crisis greater than any threat."
Irina (looking at him seriously): "You're a strange person, Marco. But let's focus on the mission first; the drinks can come later."
Columbo (looking at a strange digital map and laughing quietly): "I guess Marco's right. No minibar? Then we'd be in hell on Zacrota Island! Anyway, I told you I found a secret entrance under the sea, and now we have to move quickly before they find us."
Suddenly, everyone felt an unnatural movement in the air. A faint, crawling sound was rapidly approaching them.
Lucchini (raising his weapon and shouting nervously): "Stop! Something else is following us. I don't think the robots are the only ones after us!"
Franco (feeling vague, turning around): "Something else? Oh no, I don't want to hear this right now."
At that moment, the ground suddenly exploded in front of them, and a group of giant robots appeared. Their eyes glowed bright red, and a metallic sound filled the air as they began to close in. Things didn't seem to get any better.
Marco (playfully raising his weapon): "Well, if we don't have a minibar, at least we have a big problem... We can't say we don't have excitement in our lives!"
Franco (exhaling, unmoved): "No time for flavors, Marco. We need to take them out."
The battle between the team and the robots began, and it was unprecedentedly violent. Franco was moving between the robots at lightning speed, landing devastating blows on them. Columbo used his amazing techniques to jam their systems, causing the robots to lose coordination and become easier targets.
But Irina was also at the peak of her powers, her blood boiling as she mercilessly fired at the enemies.
Irina (smiling and saying sarcastically): "If this is Zacrota Island, so be it. But we need more surprises than that!"
As the battle intensified, Columbo suddenly began to formulate a complex plan using his jamming devices.
Columbo (raising his hands in relief): "Don't worry. I'm going to cause total chaos here, and they probably won't know where they're coming from! But I need your time. Just 30 seconds!"
Luccini (angrily, shooting at a giant robot): "30 seconds? I think it's much less! We have to move faster!"
At that moment, an unexpected surprise appeared. A giant, blue-eyed robot rushed out of the shadows, growing larger with every step. Its eyes flashed menacingly.
Blue-eyed Robot (in a calm, metallic voice): "Target: Franco Pato. Surrender or annihilate."
Franco (smiling, though nervous, raising his fist): "Do you think I'll escape? Since when did robots start threatening men like us?"
The team unleashed all their might at that moment. Marco was jumping between the robots as if in a wrestling ring, and Irina was fighting erratically, moving like shadows between the robot attacks, while Columbo pressed his devices to jam the entire system.
Franco (raising his hand to direct the team): "We won't get out alive if we don't all cooperate. The attack will be coordinated."
Lucchini (running fast): "Coordinated? You always think about attacking intelligently. But if we're not faster than that, we're dead."
After an intense battle, the team suddenly discovered that one of the doors they had been running towards was actually the entrance to Zacrota Island. The atmosphere was eerie, like a parallel world of isolation, and the place was eerily still.
Franco (firmly, looking at the island ahead): "This will be the final test. If we succeed, we will change the face of Venosa forever."
Marco (with a broad smile, preparing to set off): "Don't think I'm excited about this idea, but... we'll finally find a cold drink, right?"
Everyone smiled despite the imminent danger, but they were prepared. The war had now entered its final chapter.
