"Yea I am"…. she finally fucking replied!
"Oh my goodness, thank goodness! If she wasn't, she'd be in big trouble….
So the thing is when her dad goes on break. He goes through their books, and if anything's incomplete, it's a problem. He literally goes through their books from A to Z – following the scheme, and God help you,one topic is missing you are finished!..it's weird, but that's just how he is.
"Since Katrina's day, we hadn't expected him to be on break, so it was a surprise. Knowing she was safe really made my day. That man is wicked and weird; he'd lock them up over an incomplete note. Or even an undone assignment, hell he'd beat them up if he finds out unnecessary red pen ink on their books!…
"She was relieved, hugging herself and silently praying, knowing her books were complete and up-to-date. She said she had to go, mentioning her dad might leave this evening. I was super happy – it's been ages since we had a proper chat, and I was really looking forward to it."
"About an hour or two later, he finally left the house, giving them a list of instructions and all that. They had to stay inside for at least another hour because that man is like a wizard – he could just leave and come back, claiming he forgot something. It's like he's waiting for them to slip up.
"After what felt like forever, they finally showed up. We hugged each other tightly. 'It's been ages!' I exclaimed. 'I know, right?' she replied. We sat down on a bench in the backyard, and I was like, 'Girl, it's been so long since we last caught up.'
"'I know, it's like we've been apart for months,' she said. 'Well, not exactly months,' I clarified, 'but in a way, it felt like it. Those few days felt like an eternity.' We both laughed, knowing how much we valued our friendship.
"Then I turned to her and said, 'Hey, there's something I want to tell you.' She looked at me curiously, 'What's up?' 'So, there's this thing that happened in my school... a beautiful girl named Fatima was accused of being a thief.'
"Her eyes widened in shock. 'Fatima? Oh my God! Do you know her?' 'Yes, I know her,' She replied. 'She's that beautiful girl, right? I've seen her around. Apparently, she has a brother in my school – or maybe they're just friends, I'm not sure.'
"I told her how Fatima's classmates were mocking her, but I decided to talk to her and calm her down. 'It turns out her family is going through a tough time financially. I think desperation might have driven her to steal.
