The next day, Noelle found herself at school. As she walks through the hallways with other kids. A sudden shout from behind her caught her attention.
As she turned, she found herself watching the kid being attacked by two boys and a girl. The kid is being jabbed with pencils by the boys as the girl watches and laughs.
Others walked past and kept to themselves as the kid continued to suffer. Even Noelle feared for herself as she watched. Till her father's words started overlapping her thoughts.
Without hesitation she rushed past other kids, catching the attention of the girl. As Noelle entered the classroom. She quickly walked out with the teacher, who immediately rushed over to the scene. However, as the teacher catered to the situation, the girl bully continued staring her down.
A strong scent of fear swelled up in Noelle's chest, causing her to turn and walk away. The other two bullies watch her walk before the teacher grabs them and takes them away to the principal's office.
Ten years later
After the events of Noelle's attempt to help the bullied kid ten years ago. She made herself the target of the trio, and throughout her time till now, she was the target of heavy bullying. Being pencil-stabbed, her stuff being vandalized, and her lunches being stolen or trashed. The bullies started getting more aggressive with their bullying.
Currently in high school, Noelle finds herself taking the girl bully's foot to her head as she keeps her arms up to protect her head.
"Look at her squirm, Janna, how pathetic." Preached one of the male bullies.
"She's so pathetic, Anaru; it's honestly sickening." Janna replied as she continued kicking Noelle while she was down.
"You'd think for a soccer player she'd be able to run faster." The other male bully retorted as he continued smoking.
"Would you put that out, Kinto, you dumb fuck?" Someone might find us because of that smell." Anaru! he exclaimed as he grabbed the cigarette from Kinto.
Quickly Janna smirked and snatched the same cigarette from Anaru.
"The fuck you—."
"Just watch, you dumbass." Janna demanded as she stopped kicking Noelle and crouched down to her. Holding the lit cigarette in her right hand.
"You've got some nice legs... It pisses me off." Janna remarks as she jabs the lit cigarette into Noelle's leg, burning her skin as Janna twists it. The cigarette dropped, revealing a small circular burn wound.
"Oops... Not so nice now." Janna boasted as she stood up and spat on Noelle.
Both Kinto and Anaru are looking in pleased awe.
"Damn, Janna, that was some crazy shit." Anaru expressed as he put his arm over her shoulders.
"I'm a little pissed; I didn't get to finish it. But at least it got some use after all." Kinto remarked.
Janna pushes Anaru off her as she delivers another kick to Noelle's stomach.
"I'm getting bored; why don't we get out of here and do something else?" Janna questioned as she started walking away, with Anaru and Kinto quick to follow.
"Oh, I heard this new karaoke place opened up. It's supposed to be really good." Kinto exclaimed,
"Bitch, you can't sing for shit." Anaru remarked.
"Shut the fuck up, assholes." Janna demanded.
Their voices got dimmer as they got further away, leaving Noelle battered and broken on the ground. Tears drool from her eyes as she moves her arms to look at her surroundings.
Benami Residence
Noelle walks into the house, still in pain from her abuse. As she struggles to take off her shoes. Kentaro walks into the hallway to greet her. Noelle faced the door to prevent him from looking at her front side.
"Ah, love I didn't realize school was out." Kentaro said
"No, it's just... I didn't feel well, so I went home early." Noelle softly replied, moving her leg in closer to her to try and keep her burn wound from being seen.
"That's no good, love. Should I get some med-?"
"No, no... I think I'll just get some rest, and that should do the trick." Noelle interrupted.
"Are you sure? I mean, I can—."
"No, seriously... I'm fine." Noelle interrupted once more. Causing Kentaro to come to a conclusion on his assistance.
"Well... if you're hungry later, I'll leave you a plate in the fridge." Kentaro replied.
"Okay... Thank you." Noelle said softly.
Kentaro staggered for a moment, staring at Noelle in concern. But shook it off and moved back into the living room. Allowing Noelle to turn her bruised and scarred face to observe her surroundings before rushing up the stairs.
As she got into the bathroom, Noelle quickly took several medical resources to clean herself up. Using tweezers and cotton swabs to clean any open and bleeding wounds. As well as bandages to place over them. She even quickly cleaned out her burned wound and placed a bandage with aloe on it to help it heal.
Then for the rest of the day, Noelle stayed in her room and slept through the night. Kentaro and Kaga are sitting in the dining room alone and talking.
"Did you see Noelle today?" Kaga asked,
"I did, but she said she wasn't feeling well and was adamant about getting some rest." Kentaro replied.
"Really? Does she know what she has?" Kaga questioned.
"I'm not sure; she kept pushing me away any time I wanted to help." Kentaro expressed with worry in his voice.
Kaga observed him and instantly thought of other situations.
"Do you think something else is happening?" Kaga asked curiously.
"Like what?" Kentaro replied.
"You don't think... I mean, is it possible..." Kaga stuttered as she tried to get the words out.
"Oh, you mean... I thought we took care of that?" Kentaro remarked.
"What if they're back?" Kaga asked curiously.
"If they were back and doing their old shit, then she'd tell us. I know she would." Kentaro expressed it strongly as he stared at the table.
Kaga watched him with concern as a tight feeling in her chest wouldn't go away. Was it fear or was it worry?
As Noelle lay in her room, she heard everything but continued staring at her dark ceiling. Her face was stiff and puffy. Like it wants to show emotion, but it's done it so much that it's completely locked out from it.
