Chapter 7 - Don't you love me?

Three days inside left her seeking for help, three weeks outside left her realizing just how deadset he was on not returning her love.

Trips far and wide, people from low and high came by and all that was received was a plea for death in the way of silence.

"I love you."

No matter how many times she said it, no meaning would be added in his mind.

"I don't need your love."

What a lot of people, her included, couldn't accept was that things meaningful and full of love for them was useless to the next.

Like dirt in the gutter.

"They were planning to marry me off!

I love you , could you bear it?"

Maybe the previous owner couldn't have, despite his clear boundaries he liked her like all childhood friends liked each other.

Without the need for greater love, just innocence through the hardest of circumstances.

"Why should I care about your suffering?

Especially when your causing mine."

The words seemed to unlock something as her eyes watered.

"Don't, please don't."

Staggering, she backed away as Malachi rose, tugging explicitly at the collar, the proof of his words.

"Don't what?"

"Speak like that, like you really don't care anymore."

"Is that surprising?

I don't even like you anymore, I detest you.

Forced marriage?

How so?

Your father loves you, he would never.

How easily he gave in to your commands of marriage to me, how easily he forgives you when you show up late ignoring traditions of greeting the family in laws.

All you ever wanted to receive, was given to you by his hands.

I am sure you can live without my love for that is what your future looks like.

Words of happiness and kisses full of desire is a thing this marriage lacks and will continue to.

I will be venom upon your memories, my looks tainted with death as I would rather be somewhere else."

Preferably six feet under.

"A life without your love ain't worth it."

Vengeance, right?

It should be enough to force her to die herself right, such was the fate of the original owner.

Even if she hadn't meant for it to happened, her love destruction to his memories and his life.

Even the time period was almost similar, their suffering almost the same in nature.

"Then die.

If you die, then I can live and maybe even love you again."

His love, the only thing she was yearning for but would never, even death, receive.

"But I-i..I"

"I what?

I thought you loved me?

Did you perhaps not love as much as you thought?"

"I..I do!"

"Well then, what are you waiting for?

If you love me that much than you can do it right?

I'll even think about loving you again and never another.

Do you not want my love back?"

Stunned, he could see the cracking appear.

How earnest her eyes when so close to breaking, opposite of his own as the words easily left him.

A life played in his hands and yet his emotions ran cold.

"Will you disappoint me again?

It's the only thing you've been doing lately, you're hardly someone made for love.

You don't even know the meaning of it."

Neither did he.

However while he had never bothered with it, she did and it would end badly for her and everyone who loved her in their own way.

Like the previous owner had.

A convincing smile pulled over his face and he saw the moment she succumbed.

"The meaning...I know it."

"Then give me it."

His arm stretched out, unbeknownst to himself, his eyes sparked up, the first time in ages Lu Zhu could remember. Something akin to happiness appeared on her face and filled her sea filled eyes.

"Your life."

Forever embraced herself with red as a knife easily slit across her troath.

Blood splattering not only on him but even her father, who had just opened the doors.

Her gurgling was drowned out by her father's scream as he took the scene in with horror written across his fattened face.

Was it now his turn?

He couldn't help licking up the spatters next to his mouth.
