Her sister Sharlene is back; she just looks at her silently.
"Did you ask him what you wanted to ask her?" Tashia asked.
Sharlene nodded. "I have a lead on where to look, Tashia." Answered her questions.
She was just shocked by what her sister said.
"What do you mean, sister?" Tashia only asked.
"Leah Martinez is his cousin." She heard it, and she looked at Sharlene intently. The shock was evident on her face.
Sharlene didn't answer her right away. Tashia just waited for the person she was facing now to say something.
"Does he know what happened here?" She interrogated Sharlene because she's curious.
She shook her head at her. "Lawrence doesn't know how Leah died; they spread about rumors that Leah went with another man."
"W--- What?" Tashia asked her; she was confused; she didn't know if her brain could still process what was happening now.
"That's what Lawrence told me; he's also here to find out what really happened here." Her sister finally spoke.
Tashia just nodded. "Aren't you going to use your ability?" Tashia repeated her question.
Tashia only just sighed. "I don't know; she doesn't make me feel right now. I always see Grandma begging." She shook her head in disagreement. head.
Sharlene looked at her while thinking so hard.
"W --- What do you see, Tashia?" Sharlene only asked her.
Tashia just sighed. "Ashley sometimes makes me feel like she wants to tell me something," she sadly replied. "Sometimes I see Leah's past; sometimes I see Leah torturing the prisoner." Tashia added.
"Is she torturing Ashley?" Sharlene asked Tashia.
Tashia just shook her head because she couldn't see her suffering at Leah's hands. It seemed like she was taking care of Ashley too.
"Leah has a child, doesn't she?" she asked Sharlene.
"Leah's child wasn't born because she had a miscarriage." Sharlene told her. "She always cries at the grave that she made; as far as I remember, she had the child forcibly taken from her womb." Sharlene confided in Tashia, who understands that Sharlene feels sorrow over Leah's past experiences.
"Then, she can't hurt Ashley." Tashia told Sharlene. Her forehead furrowed as she stared at her.
"What if she's protecting the child? All she did was lock Ashley up to prevent anyone from hurting her." She continued, persuading Sharlene that her assessment was accurate.
Sharlene didn't answer; she was thinking. "I can't answer that question. What does Leah want to do to Ashley?" Sharlene just let her thoughts wander.
"If she hurts my child, I can't forgive Leah either." Tashia hears Sharlene's voice, which is serious.
She didn't answer anymore. "Sis Vivianne either travels a lot or looks into the past." She says to Sharlene.
"What do you mean?" Sharlene asked her curiously.
"Leah was pointing out how she was killed, how she didn't give her unborn child a proper burial."
Sharlene just listened to her.
"Who buried Leah alive?" Sharlene suddenly asked her.
"W—Why do you know he was buried alive?" Tashia questioned Sharlene, her brow furrowing.
"I told you when I was dreaming about her life, all I remembered was when she was buried alive. I couldn't identify the person who issued the order to bury Leah alive." Sharlene explained it to her.
Tashia sighed. She looked at the sleeping child. She wondered if little Ashley could hear them now.
"Her husband Manuel and Sheila's sister Angely." Tashia admitted then that she was just confused.
Sharlene didn't speak again; her gaze was far away.
"I don't know about her life; we both got into this mess because of Grandma." She managed to tell Sharlene.
Tashia just nodded.
"Tashia, go home and get some rest." Sharlene smiled at Tashia as she looked at her.
"You're still young; you shouldn't be involved in this kind of problem. You and Ashley should not be involved in this problem." Sharlene just sighed.
"Sister, I can't help you now. Who will look after that child when you're not here?" Tashia asked.
"Tashia, you really love that child." Sharlene laughs at her.
Tashia ceased her response, convinced that the person in front of her was right. She picked up her bag.
"I'll be back when our midterm exams are over; that's almost here." Tashia spoke as she glanced at her sister.
Sharlene just nodded at her. "Good luck and God bless on your midterm, Tashia." That was all she said.
Before she left, she touched the child's forehead.
"Ashley, I'll be back, and when you wake up, I will spoil you." Tashia smiled at Ashley.
"Be careful." That was all she heard from Sharlene.
She immediately went out the door, walked, and went downstairs; she just sighed.
They would tour a town that they could use for their studies, she would return to where she came from, and that house would be one of the places that would lead her to find out the truth.
I knew I didn't let her know, but Sister Sharlene might be even more worried. She just said it in her mind.
She immediately got on a jeepney so she could go home. They would choose where they went in groups. She was unaware that her companion would also make the same choice.
They were about to depart; all she needed to do was gather her belongings, as they would be staying for three days. It was like they were having finals.
Her sister Vivianne was there.
"Didn't you tell Sharlene?" Vivianne asked her.
She just shook her head; she had already arranged herself, including her belongings. Her sister Vivianne didn't ask any further questions.
"Tell me if you see anything strange there." That was all, Vivianne reminded her.
"Did you see anything?" she asked.
"I don't know, but I'm confident that no one knows the real story and why she hasn't been seen again." That was all she could say about it.
Tashia just nodded.
She finished getting dressed and getting ready. "I'm leaving." She was saying goodbye to Vivianne.
Vivianne just nodded to her. "Be careful." That was all she heard.
She was already carrying her belongings; she didn't know where they would stay now. They said they would stay somewhere. She just sighed.
Tashia just waited for her group members because she would rather not be late. She arrived early at the meeting point so they could go straight to where they were going today.
Tashia didn't have to wait that long because she arrived when darkness fell. Once it was dark, they walked to their destination.
