Vivianne was just surprised by the argument that happened earlier. She saw that Sharlene just sat down after the argument ended. She bought food for the three of them; she would accompany the two of them here.
Vivianne knew that their time and circumstances would change again now because of what happened to Ashley. She clenched her fist and stared at Tashia then.
She also blames what happened on the fact that she didn't tell Sharlene about her visions.
She sighed and sat next to Sharlene; they just squeezed in between her. She was quietly frowning, lost in deep thought.
"Don't tell me you're regretting it?" Vivianne just asked and sighed.
Sharlene sighed and turned to face her. "Was what I did right?" she asked her.
"I can't say what you did to them was right, but holding onto your anger is bad too. Perhaps the inaccuracy stems from the unfortunate timing." Sharlene's question received a comprehensive response.
It didn't answer her; it just nodded weakly.
"I don't know anymore; my mind is so full; I don't know what to do anymore." Admitting this to oneself.
Vivianne just tapped Sharlene. She was hesitant about whether to tell about the vision she saw before the accident happened.
"You know, it's also my fault that Ashley got involved in an accident." She leaned back and looked at the ceiling in the hospital.
Sharlene only furrowed her brow, wondering what she wanted to say to them.
"I dreamed of a child, and it was Ashley. She was looking at me sadly and crying; she was wearing a hospital gown." Sharlene closed her eyes as she recounted.
"If only I hadn't ignored that dream or vision and my gut feeling this morning, Ashley would probably still be happily laughing now." She noticed the tears falling and her soft sobs.
Vivianne looked at Tashia, who felt pity for the woman next to them now.
"Sis, we can't stop time; we have no control over it. All we can do now is believe that Ashley will get better and come back to us smiling." That's all she heard from Tashia.
Sharlene nodded, wiping away the tears that were about to fall. "My child is brave." She smiled and said, "Ashley is brave." This is what she said.
"What are your plans now?" was all she could ask her.
She hears her sigh. "I apologize for requesting your assistance once more, but could we possibly postpone the payment?" She barely managed to laugh.
Vivianne just sighed. "It's okay if the payment is delayed; just pay when everything is alright," Vivianne said with a smile.
The story made them laugh. "Thank you." She heard her say to Sharlene.
She looked at the time; they hadn't slept yet, as they weren't feeling sleepy either. The waiting area was spacious, and not many people were left; some were still on duty with their sleeping gear.
The three of them ate first, the two of them got dressed, and they needed to discuss what they would do while watching over Ashley so that Tashia's work and studies wouldn't be neglected.
They agreed to take care of the child. Sharlene also needed to work hard; she didn't think about where to get the hospital fees; what mattered was that Ashley was attended to promptly. That's what the three of them are asking for.
Since it's Saturday, they will stay here at the hospital for now.
It was already morning, but Sharlene was still sitting quietly. Occasionally, she peeks at Ashley, and when they enter, they still need the doctor's permission. They are given a few minutes when they enter; they just look at the child to see if everything is okay inside.
Vivianne felt pity for Ashley's situation. If possible, she would help her; they are the only ones Sharlene is counting on. Sharlene just excused herself for a moment, as she had an important meeting to attend at school; they would probably discuss the tragic event that happened yesterday.
Tashia was also quiet, reading something on her phone; she hadn't slept yet because the adrenaline rush from yesterday when they found out about Ashley's accident was still there.
Vivianne noticed that the doctor and a few nurses entered Ashley's room; she was just watching what they were doing, perhaps checking Ashley's vital signs at that time. She was also looking.
A nurse came out.
"Mrs. Francisco." The nurse called them.
Vivianne stood up immediately .
"Excuse me, the child's mother is not here right now, but she asked me to watch over Ashley for now. Ah, the child is my niece." Vivianne said to the nurse.
The nurse simply nodded. "Ashley's pulse rate is weakening now," that's all the nurse reported to her.
That's why she was surprised; she couldn't speak at that moment; she didn't know how to respond.
Vivianne felt a sense of chaos within, as if Ashley was undergoing a rebirth.
"Tashia, Tashia, call Sister Sharlene." That's all she said, and Tashia hurriedly called her sister on Messenger.
My God, please not Ashley; please not the child. Despite her wounds, she was still breathing well yesterday. My God, please no. Vivianne just prayed in her mind.
"Tashia, wait for your sister outside." She even said.
Vivianne hurriedly went inside because the doctor signaled her to come in. Vivianne was right to revive Ashley; she could see that she was responding, but her pulse rate was weak. She wanted to lose consciousness at the thought of what might happen to her.
The child felt a sense of relief as her pulse rate returned to normal. The doctor faced her then.
"The child needs to be put on ventilation now; she is having difficulty getting air into her lungs, which is causing her pulse rate to drop because she is struggling to breathe." The doctor explained it to her.
Vivianne saw that a hose was put in the child's nose, and it was also put into Ashley's mouth.
"Will Ashley be okay once she is put on the ventilator machine?" She could only ask.
"Yes, ma'am,"
Suddenly, someone entered the room, and she saw Sharlene's face, which clearly showed her urgency.
"W--- What is happening, doc? What's happening, doc? Why did you put her on a ventilator machine?" Sharlene asked, clearly surprised.
"Ma'am, the child had an attack earlier and was having difficulty breathing, and the pulse rate was dropping, so the child needs a ventilator machine to support stable breathing." The doctor explained to Sharlene.
Sharlene just nodded. "I—isn't my child having trouble breathing anymore?" she asked with concern in Sharlene's voice.
The doctor only nodded at Sharlene's question. "The child is still under monitoring, ma'am. The good thing is that her body is responding to the medication for her wounds; we will be hoping that Ashley will wake up soon as well." The doctor explains to them.
"We'll leave you for a moment." The doctor immediately left the room.
It let out a sigh back then. Vivianne saw Sharlene struggling to regain her composure after the incident. Vivianne also panicked at that event.
"Come on," Vivianne whispered to Sharlene and gently tapped her arms.
"I—I'll just watch my child for a moment, Vivianne." That was all she wished for now. Vivianne just nodded and let Sharlene watch Ashley inside for a while.
