Pavergirl blocked Superboy's powerful blows as he drove her into walls and smashed buildings like a deranged lunatic. They broke through another wall of the supermarket and flew out into the main hall where a bunch of unsuspecting people stood.

Superboy grabbed the cart and threw it right at her, but Pavergirl calmly kicked it away. The cart flew into the wall, almost hitting the baby, and Karen's heart clenched fearfully.

«Stop! You could hurt people!

«Shut up, clone. I'm going to get rid of you today, and don't even expect me to lead you to Batman.

«You're not listening to me at all, asshole!

Superboy jumped on her and pushed her shoulder against a large rack, which began to fall and collapse on people. Karen barely had time to get up and make a powerful dash to save the people trapped under the falling racks.

But her arm and leg hurt a bit after she opened up a couple times in an attempt to protect people.

«Thank you, auntie... - the snot-nosed boy in a cap gave out fearfully.

«Run to your mom," she smiled crookedly in pain, and the boy ran fearfully toward the woman who was calling him to her.

Superboy loomed over her with a lip curved in disgust.

«You're still trying to be nice, aren't you? That's disgusting. You're just a clone who doesn't deserve to live. Your existence causes chaos, you hypocritical bitch. If you weren't here, no one would get hurt.

«What, now I see a prime example of an idiot from Krypton, and I thought we had very smart people," Karen grinned, raising her fists to continue the fight. - If you only understand the language of power, I'm going to beat it into your head that I don't want to hurt anyone, you stupid asshole!

«It's not for a brainwashed clone to tell me what to do! - He shouted, lunging at her again.

He flew into Karen at high speed, but this time she was ready and dodged just in time, grabbed the bastard's leg and pulled him backward, driving him straight into the ground, and then again, and again, and again, like she was wringing out a pissed rag. And threw him over to the racks, right into the toilet paper section.

«Shit...I think I overdid it a bit," she whispered guiltily, gripping her shoulder painfully.

Starfire was on fire, and Will had to literally run all the time to keep from being burned alive. He flashed in her eyes like the glare of sunlight, sparking lightning with every spurt.

«Urgh! You're so annoying! - Starfire shouted, clenching her fists in furious anger and spreading her arms out to the sides, "I'm going to flash you!

And releasing hundreds of green beams of fire from her hands, she began to skewer the entire neighborhood with it uncontrollably.

"Holy shit...she's about to fry me properly if I don't think of something," Will thought to himself.

Damien jumped behind a dumpster, trying not to get hit by the huge flashes falling to the ground like little meteorites.

Will dodged one, a second, a third, his body burning from the multitude of them flying through the air. Pushing off the wall, he leaped straight at Starfire floating in the air. As he did so, he tossed aside a stone marked with the Thunder God's mark.

«Are you coming to me?! Ha-ha-ha-ha! You shouldn't have! You can't dodge now! - Starfire said with a strange, pathetic laugh, exploding with even more power.

"I remember her being weird in anger before, but this is over the top!"

And a bunch of fireballs flew straight at Will. He waited and waited for the right moment to execute his plan. Time passed slowly, leisurely, but every burning moment was like torture to him.

Here he was about to meet Starfire's fire as a flash of lightning distorted through space and he disappeared, ending up on the side.

«What? How did you get in there?!

«Starfire! The rock is behind your back! - Demian shouted from behind the trash can, pointing his finger at her.

«What? What is it? - Starfire turned back in surprise, but there was only a rock.

A moment more, and a panting Willard Light, all fire-burnt Starfire, appeared in place of the stone. His eyes glittered with focused confidence and irritation.

«I'm sorry, but I'm in a hurry! - He shouted, revealing a palm that swirled in the air, taking in the swirling air. - Razengan!

The swirling orb struck Starfire's chest, summoning an air blast that looked like a randomly swirling funnel. And curving through the air, it enveloped Starfire's entire body, and then with a bullet her case crashed into a building, generating an unthinkable series of destruction. Starfire flew through the buildings, punching through them with her body, and flew on and on, seemingly not intending to stop.

When Will landed on the ground, he sighed heavily and looked around at the NewFuture lab. Time was running out, and he needed to save Vanessa Wayne immediately.

While he was pondering, a boomerang robin flew into his back, which he grabbed with his fingers in midair without thinking. The boomerang began to squeak, and Will quickly threw it into the air, and there was an explosion.

«You're not going anywhere until you defeat me," Demian hissed, getting into a fighting stance.

Will stepped back, disappeared in a flash of lightning, and appeared beside Damian, one punch to the chin sending him flying straight into the trash. After making sure Damian was lying down and resting, Will disappeared into the lightning flashes, heading for the deepest part of the research lab.

The speed, though prohibitive, was already quite familiar. Will rethought all the adventures that had happened to him, and quickly came to the conclusion that his power belonged to Namikaze Minato.

Thanks to that, he stopped doubting his powers and began to fluently recall all of the Fourth Hokage's capabilities. He needed to turn the situation around to save everyone and keep the world from possible collapse, because he was the only one who understood where things were going. In a flash, he ran into the lobby of the lab, jumped the turnstiles, and started running around the hospital looking for an underground passage.

On one of the lower floors, he met Beast Boy and Raven, who were standing near the elevator.

«Will! - Shouted the Beast Boy cheerfully.

«I take it you've already done Damien and Starfire? - Raven said, arching an eyebrow skeptically.

«Guys, please believe me. Everything is not what it seems! - Will shouted, stopping abruptly in front of his friends. At that moment, he thought they would rush at him and try to stop him.

«We believe you, relax. The genius detective Bist-boy has already figured it all out," Bist-boy waved his hand.

Raven looked at him like he was a jerk, and Beastboy laughed awkwardly, pointing his palms at his girlfriend.

«Okay, okay... what I meant to say was that Raven found out and I helped her indispensably.

«I take it you want to get into the underground lab? - Raven asked, giving Will a grim look and showing him the research pass.

***

They went down into the lab together to the top floor, which led to a large round door that looked more like a gate for holding back monsters than a normal door for harmless labs. All of this, including the tense silence of the gathering and the absence of anyone in the building, hinted at the strangeness of what was happening. Raven applied the pass to the door and it opened, revealing a path down a wide, dark hallway lit by dim red lights.

«Uh, this looks pretty creepy. Are we sure this is where we need to go? - Beastboy pointed his finger.

«I can feel Vanessa in there. I'll go first, and you..." Will threw down, but he was stopped by Raven's shoulder.

«Hold on, super guy. I know you want to save her, but let me check the area for enemies first. I have a feeling we're in for a good surprise," she grinned grimly.

Will nodded slowly and closed his eyes, trying to feel with the Sphere of Sensation what Raven was talking about. And yes, it seemed to be true, there were over a hundred enemies out there, and they all gave off strange non-human vibrations. Will couldn't say for sure what they were, but they were different from humans in the height and frequency of their vibrations.

Raven put her hands to the floor and whispered some incantation, then dark gray magical hands came out of her body and started to penetrate through the ventilation and spread throughout the building. These hands worked as scouts that helped the demonic mage to find the right targets and understand the situation.

It took her about three minutes to finally open her eyes and get up off the floor.

«I figured it out. There's a whole laboratory underground, equipped with alien technology. They're guarded by some winged creatures that look a lot like my brethren," Raven said grimly.

«Your brethren? - Will asked, feeling the anxiety building in his heart.

«Demons," her lips quivered.

Will already knew the answer, but he didn't want to believe it. The only things that came to mind were the creatures, but what the hell were they doing here?

"Are there really para-demons?" thought Will, biting his lip. Of all the opponents, it was Darkseid's army he didn't want to face.

«So... what are we going to do now? - Beast Boy asked, arching an eyebrow. - Why don't we just screw him and go get a burger?

«I couldn't agree more, but something tells me our friend doesn't agree," Raven said sarcastically, glancing at a flustered Will.

«There's something you two need to realize, first of all, my friend's down there. Second, there's probably a couple demons down there, servants of Darkseid. I don't know how they got there, but they weren't invited by the Justice League," Will said grimly.

Everyone immediately fell silent, only Beast Boy raised his hand in confusion.

«Uh, uh, Darkseid? Who the hell is that guy?

«The ruler of the Apocalypse, who killed his brother and took a throne that was not meant for him. The Dark Lord, that's what they call him in the world of magic. Some call him Pure Evil, but even in my father's distant worlds he is quite famous. Darkseid is the Scourge of Worlds and an unscrupulous dictator who hopes to subjugate the entire universe. His powers and intelligence are enough to subjugate hundreds of worlds and make them his army. Probably, among the people I know, he is one of the most dangerous in the entire universe. If he really has turned his sights on Earth..." Raven bit her lip grimly, "I'm afraid we can only hope for the best.

«Wow, you know a lot about him," Beast Boy marveled.

«I have to. It's not uncommon for me to have to deal with demons who come from across the universe for me," Raven grinned, "They often mention their killer, who calls himself Darkseid. Countless planets have perished at his hands, and hatred for him overflows through the halls of ADA. My father even intended to get rid of him once, but even he had trouble.

«Anyway, we're in big trouble," Will said, trying to suppress the tension.

The appearance of the para-demons on the ground already meant that Darkseid would be here soon. How soon was unknown, but Will hoped with all his heart that they had at least a couple of months.

Now his doubts were completely and irrevocably dispelled. Darkseid is coming.

«We have to save Vanessa and warn the League about Darkseid's invasion.

«How are you going to save her? There's a bunch of para-demons out there, we could get killed," Raven asked skeptically.

«Yeah, that smells like some serious shit. Why don't we come back here with reinforcements? - said Beast Boy.

«Oh, no, I'm not leaving until I get Vanessa back. Maybe by the time we get back, the para-demons will have killed her. I won't force you to help me, but at least let the League know what's going on here. I'll handle the rest.

«Hey, hey, hey, buddy, don't make stuff up. We're not going to leave you here, come with us, don't be stupid! - tried to stop him.

«Will," Raven turned completely serious for once, her violet eyes blazing with curiosity, "tell me, why are you so eager to help Vanessa? As far as I know, she's set you up more than once.

«Maybe so, but..." he tilted his head thoughtfully, remembering Batman's words from the message, "but something tells me the world will only get worse without her.

With those words, Will didn't hesitate to burst into the dark corridor, leaving Raven and Beast Boy alone.

***

He stopped after about two hundred meters from the start. The corridor, however, continued to stretch deep into the distance, like an endless journey into Hell itself. In the distance, quite quietly, there was a half growl, half screech. The point was playing hard to get, but Will stepped forward. Soon there was the echo of para-demons scurrying in the distance, their growls and wing movements clearly spreading across the corridor, portending bad things to come.

That's when all doubts finally fell away and Will tuned in for the inevitable collision.

The hope was that they wouldn't notice him, and that he would be able to steal Vanessa out of their clutches. As Will continued walking, a light finally appeared in the distance, hinting at the end of the tunnel. Will slowed down and bent down so he wouldn't be seen as he approached.

As expected, two yellow-red para-demons with wings that looked like two rusted pieces of metal stood at the entrance. But their appearance was deceptive, for in fact these wings were capable of high speed flight, and their claws and muscle mass could tear steel like paper.

There was a risk that even Will, for all his speed, wouldn't be able to run away from a crowd of such freaks, much less in a confined space.

"Now we have to figure out how to get around them. Hmm... You can't go around them, no matter how you look at it. I mean, I could try to speed up, but what if they see me? Then I'm screwed. And you can't even throw a pebble to distract them. They're only going to look back, and there I am, in a tunnel with only one way in," Will sighed quietly, gathering his resolve to burst through it at high speed. It was the only way to sneak in unnoticed, trusting his dormant reflexes and the abilities he'd gotten from the Fourth Hokage.

It felt as hopeless and idiotic as possible, but Will just couldn't think of a better option.

«Okay..." he whispered, putting his hands and feet in the "starting position", while he was diligently building up chakra in his hands and feet, distributing it evenly throughout his body to strengthen his initial rush, which would determine how fast he could get past the two guardian-para-demons.

Feelings ran high because he knew it was either going to work out or he was finished.

And so Will sprang forward, hurtling off the ground at an unthinkable speed, trusting only to his reflexes, which were in complete control of his movement. It was only a moment in his mind that he found himself standing next to two para-demons, even uglier freaks than he had imagined. Huge metallic creatures with horns and thin teeth that looked more like needles than normal teeth. Red bloodshot and rabid eyes with only wild lust in them stared straight at him, but in their minds Willard had yet to notice. Each of them stared dumbly in front of them while the moment belonged entirely to Will, who was flying swiftly between them.

And then another moment passed, and Will had already left them behind, but the expression on the para-demons' faces still hadn't changed. In fact, they hadn't even noticed him, and even if they had, they hadn't realized it yet. Will, on the other hand, understood everything quite clearly, as if time had frozen, and he was the only creature in it, able to move quietly. But that was how Will's consciousness perceived his surroundings, while his arms and legs felt an insurmountable heaviness with every movement, as if he were trying to move inside a thick swamp. And if he tried to move a finger now, it would be as hard as pulling a two-hundred-pound weight, or even something heavier. Actually, it was hard to imagine how much force Will needed right now to change his trajectory at the kind of insane acceleration he was moving at right now. This wasn't even formula one, where if you skidded on the track you couldn't turn, at best your car would crash and you'd survive, and at worst you'd be flattened like a cockroach under a ton of iron.

But Will's body was unusually strong, much stronger than an ordinary man's, despite the difficulties of the tremendous speed. The force of speed it perceived as it should, its muscles became stronger than iron, and unlike a sports-car driver, he could change the trajectory of his movement at any moment, but, again, it required inconceivable effort.

So, standing in the middle of the hall in "time stopped for him," Will scrutinized his surroundings. The underground laboratory was dark, as if it had been designed so that no human could work here. There were large circular mechanisms all over the place, like vats in which something was melting. Mounted above them were pieces of alien metal that were being thrown into the bubbling lava-like liquid. To the right hung some kind of capsules with creatures that looked like para-demons, but only in embryo. Still to the right were two red-and-black circular portals, apparently created with mother boxes. Para-demons were coming out of them, two at a time. They were met by the para-demons already on duty here, and directed their kin to some sort of platform-like compartment that rose upward, apparently toward the city. There were several such platforms, and they all held several dozen para-demons, capable of ascending to the surface at any moment.

On top of this dark red laboratory, woven of iron, stood a unit different from the other para-demons. He also had wings, but his face was more intelligent and his body was elongated than the other demons. He stood next to a huge screen with a control panel, and, apparently, was in charge of the production of para-demons. Vanessa Wayne was standing beside him, to Willard's surprise.

She was restrained and tied to a vertically placed table, and as expected of Vanessa, her face did not express fear, but it did express obvious tension and worry.

That moment of emotion Will experienced at high speed was the cause of his fatal mistake. Because he got distracted and let his emotions get the best of him, he went out of his focused state of "time flight" and lost acceleration dramatically.

His body first lost its previous speed, and then everything began to accelerate towards him - which meant that the world was beginning to move in a familiar pattern.

Realizing he was in trouble, Will immediately rushed to the large vat of red-hot liquid, where he felt it was empty, and changed his trajectory at high speed, with great effort, as if pushing himself out of quicksand with his whole body. Instead of flying at breakneck speed into the iron wall, he moved behind a large hot vat, crashed painfully into the wall behind it with his shoulder, and suppressed a frustrated sigh.

Fortunately, as time began to move as normal again, the noisy splash of hot metal drowned out the rumble of Will's impact. And the para-demons who had been watching the entrance suddenly flinched in place and looked back, noting for themselves the unusual gust of wind that had alarmed them. But nothing else, absolutely nothing. Glancing a bit into the corridor and then at each other, the para-demons gave an irritated explosion and silently stared at the wall as they continued to stare dumbly.

Seeing the dumbasses' reaction, Will sighed gratefully and grasped his chest, which was sweating profusely.

"Lucky, but... why the fuck is it so hot in here!"

That red-hot vat looming over him was fucking hot, and the sensation of being near it was roughly like being in a bathhouse when you've had water thrown on super-hot coals by a couple of steamers, and your face is so close it's literally burning with pinching, hot pain.

"If it weren't for Liberty Van, I'd be fried to death," he sighed softly.

Indeed, the suit was resistant to high temperatures, but Will was still sweating like a monk wrapped in twenty coats in the blazing sun. It was hard to breathe, but tolerable, and somehow he managed to keep his consciousness calm, but he felt a great loss of strength.

His chakra was taking all the "damage" on itself, severely depleting his stamina. Will had to endure more than ever.

He looked out from behind the fiery vat and glanced at the gathered creatures. If there had been a hundred or so Para-demons before, there were ten more every minute, because Para-demons were coming through the portal. In about a week's time, there would be an army of several thousand, if not more.

Vanessa was still alive, but still bound. The older para-demon wasn't even paying attention to her, giving orders to his minions in some broken alien language, and at his command these creatures began to build a third portal with the help of the mother box.

The sight was impossibly horrific and beautiful. First, a group of para-demons put out several mother boxes in a certain order, as if they were building a house, and then that house was programmed and distorted, beginning to turn into a real portal.

"Too bad... if there are too many of them, their influx will be impossible to stop. Fuck, they seem like they've been here recently, but they've had at least a couple days to spread out more than a few. If they're not stopped, the whole of Gotham will be reduced to rubble in a matter of hours. And then the whole world."

It was impossible to imagine the consequences of Apocalypse's attack on the world. Just imagining it made Will's whole body tingle. The fact was, every time Apocalypse came to Earth, it usually ended in catastrophic destruction, and sometimes Flash had to turn back time to save everyone.

Will smiled sadly and tried to gather his thoughts. The fucking heat was getting in the way, of course, but there was no place to think better.

"If we don't stop them...how much time will we have?

Not enough, not enough. With the number they had here, they could attack Gotham right now. And there were innocent people out there, his friends... Kara. They could die before they even realized what had happened.

Will immediately realized what he had to do. He hadn't come into this world of his own free will, he didn't deserve this happy life, and he lived here more like a parasite who didn't deserve all this happiness.

"I finally realized why I'm here," he thought seriously, raising his head with full determination.

Even though his chest pinched with fear, he was determined to sacrifice himself for the people of this world.

Will exhaled, gathering as much chakra in his body as possible, good thing it seemed bottomless, and slowly stepped in front, ordering Liberty Van to enter combat mode.

"I obey. I'm removing the blockers," I heard in my ears.
