Chapter 47 - Chapter 47 – Financial Freedom

"These frozen boars—you helped take them down too. We'll split the money fifty-fifty," Kael said.

Amber waved her hands quickly.

"No need! You did most of the work. Without you, I couldn't have even found those boars, let alone brought them back to sell."

But Kael kept insisting, and Amber bit her lip.

"Why are you being so formal with me... I said I don't want it, and I meant it!"

Seeing her so stubborn, Kael could only sigh.

"Alright, alright. Then I'll keep the Mora for now. If you ever want anything, just tell me—I'll get it for you."

Amber mumbled under her breath,

"You already know what I want..."

There she went again.

Kael sighed internally. Amber really never missed a chance to sneak in a love confession.

He quickly changed the subject.

"Charles, when will Master Diluc be arriving?"

"I already sent someone to inform him—he should be here any minute now."

Sure enough, Diluc soon walked into Angel's Share Tavern.

"I already checked the frozen boars you left by the city gate. All of them are top-grade.

They weigh in at a total of 2.4 tons.

At 12,000 Mora per kilo, that comes out to a total of 28.8 million Mora.

Here's the full payment. Feel free to count it."

Diluc placed several heavy coin pouches on the table.

Even though Kael had mentally prepared himself, knowing this haul would rake in a lot of cash—

Hearing the actual number still shocked him.

He'd just become a multi-millionaire in a single day?!

And that amount didn't even include the Great Snowboar King!

If he factored that in, wouldn't his net worth be over a hundred million!?

"As for the Great Snowboar King—

That's a rare species I've never seen before, so I don't have a reference for pricing it.

Fortunately, Liyue is hosting an auction in a few days. I'll send the Snowboar King as a featured item.

You'll receive your payment after the auction—

Is that alright with you?"

"Of course! If Master Diluc is handling it, I trust it completely!"

He was sending it to an auction!

That meant the Mora he'd earn would probably be even more than he expected!

Who would've thought—after just two days in Teyvat, he was about to achieve financial freedom?!

Kael couldn't hold back his grin.

"Drinks are on me today—everyone in the tavern!"

"Oh? I walk in and I already hear such wonderful news."

A familiar voice chuckled.

Venti walked in with a smile.

"Isn't this our little traveler from another world? You promised to drink with me yesterday, and then totally ditched me."

At Venti's complaint, Kael suddenly remembered—

He had agreed to drink with the Anemo Archon last night.

But things got hectic when Amber suddenly attacked Diluc… and he completely forgot.

"Sorry about that. Drinks are on me today—drink as much as you want!"

Venti's eyes sparkled.

"Then I won't be shy! Charles! Bring me one—no, three glasses of every kind of wine you've got!"
