"Hunter?"
The crowd clearly didn't believe him.
"Even the chief hunter of Springvale couldn't take down a Great Snowboar King."
"Exactly! With strength like yours, why not join the Knights of Favonius?"
Someone from the Adventurers' Guild shouted from the crowd,
"You could join us too—the Adventurers' Guild always needs capable people!"
Kael never had any plans to settle permanently in Mondstadt, so joining the Knights was out of the question.
But the Adventurers' Guild... now that was something worth considering.
Looking at the swelling crowd of onlookers, Kael suddenly realized—
This was the perfect moment to run an ad.
"Citizens of Mondstadt, I really am just a hunter. But soon, I'll be opening a meat stall right here in the city! I warmly welcome everyone to come visit! I guarantee every beast I hunt is the freshest of the day—and top quality!"
Since his Life Simulation level wasn't high enough yet, his attributes were stuck at 999 until he unlocked a new level.
But that day would come eventually.
When it did, he'd need a massive number of attribute points to upgrade.
And with the system's current binding, every beast he killed earned him 20 attribute points.
So why not start saving up now? He'd definitely need them later.
Since he'd be hunting a lot of beasts from now on anyway, he might as well open a butcher stall—
Otherwise all this meat would just go to waste.
Leaving it to rot out in the wild? What a shame. Might as well turn it into Mora.
No matter the world, having money in your pocket always gave you confidence.
Also, it was time to seriously consider joining the Adventurers' Guild.
He'd already confirmed that killing Hilichurls and other non-human monsters would also yield attribute points.
So he could take on guild commissions, earning attribute points and Mora, plus fame.
Triple win!
After hearing Kael's "ad" pitch, the crowd responded enthusiastically:
"That sounds great! If you open a meat stall, we'll definitely visit! I mean, how many hunters in all of Teyvat could bring down a Great Snowboar King!?"
"Exactly! If you sell some of that Snowboar King meat, we could finally know what it tastes like!"
"It must be expensive though... I'd be happy just buying a small piece to try!"
While the crowd was chatting excitedly, Amber returned with Charles, the bartender from Angel's Share Tavern.
"Excuse us, make way please!"
Charles pushed his way through the crowd, finally reaching the front.
"Miss Amber said you brought back frozen boar meat, so I came to che—eh? What is that?!"
Charles let out a shocked cry.
"This is a Great Snowboar King. I had a deal with Master Diluc to supply frozen boar meat, but I'm not sure if he'd be interested in the King."
Charles immediately replied, "Interested! Absolutely interested! 100% yes!"
Are you kidding? With a prize like this, how could they not buy it?
Look at the entire city of Mondstadt turning out to see it!
If Master Diluc didn't claim it now, it'd probably be carved up and stolen by the crowd in no time!
"Mr. Kael, I'll send someone to guard this valuable meat right away. Would you mind coming back to the tavern with me to wait for the master to inspect and finalize payment?"
"Of course."
On the way back to Angel's Share, Kael casually asked,
"By the way, how much do you usually pay for frozen boar meat like this?"
Charles answered,
"We usually refer to it as chilled meat—a type of ancient walk-boar species believed to have gone extinct hundreds of years ago. The only reason it still exists today is because of Dragonspine's extreme weather preserving them.
Chilled meat is extremely rare, so the price is very high—we usually pay five times the rate of regular boar meat, which is 12,000 Mora per kilo.
As for the Great Snowboar King... this is my first time seeing such a beast. I'm not sure how much the master will pay—but I imagine it won't be cheap."
Amber gasped from beside them.
"Whoa! 12,000 Mora per kilo!?
And these frozen boars are way bigger than normal ones!
Just one could cover half my yearly salary!"
