Chapter 6: The Art of War

Kamino – 501st Training Grounds
The Clone Troopers of the 501st Legion were the best of the best. Under my command, they had become more than just soldiers—they were warriors, precision-crafted for victory.
Now, it was time to take them to the next level.
I stood at the head of the training field, watching as my men ran drills. Rex, Jesse, Fives, and Echo were gathered nearby, listening as I laid out my plan.
"We're restructuring how we fight," I said. "The Jedi have been treating this war like a defensive engagement—reacting to Separatist moves instead of taking the fight to them."
Fives nodded. "We've been noticing that too. Feels like we're always one step behind."
"Not anymore," I said. "From now on, we dictate the war."
Jesse frowned. "How?"
I activated the holoprojector, displaying a map of key Separatist supply lines and command centers.
"We're going to target their infrastructure. The droid army may be infinite, but their resources aren't. We cut off their fuel, disrupt their communications, take out their command centers—and they collapse."
Echo smirked. "Sounds like my kind of war."
I grinned. "Good. Because I'm going to need all of you for this."
Rex crossed his arms. "And the Council? Do they approve?"
I exhaled. "They don't need to."
The Clones chuckled.
I smiled. The Jedi Order may be stuck in their ways, but I wasn't. This war was about to change forever.

Coruscant – The Chancellor's Office
Palpatine watched the latest war reports with undisguised satisfaction.
Anakin's strategy was working. World after world was falling to the Republic at an unprecedented rate.
The Separatists were reeling, struggling to keep up.
Dooku had always been a strategist—a master of war. But Anakin was something else entirely.
A force of nature.
Palpatine steepled his fingers, smiling.
"My dear boy," he murmured to himself. "You are shaping the galaxy into something far greater than the Jedi ever could."
He turned as Mas Amedda entered.
"Chancellor, the Senate has approved emergency wartime measures granting you expanded authority over the military."
Palpatine's smile widened.
"Excellent."
He leaned back, pleased.
Everything was falling into place.

The Outer Rim – Dooku's War Council
The hologram of Count Dooku flickered before a gathering of Separatist leaders.
"This cannot continue," Dooku said, his voice as calm as ever, but laced with tension. "Skywalker is not just winning battles—he is dismantling our war effort piece by piece."
General Grievous snarled. "Then let me end him."
Dooku smirked. "If only it were so simple."
He turned his gaze to the other commanders. "We must adapt. Skywalker fights like no Jedi we have faced before. If we do not evolve, we will be crushed under his advance."
One of the Neimoidian officers hesitated. "What do you suggest, Count?"
Dooku's expression darkened.
"I will handle Skywalker myself."

The Outer Rim – Anakin's Flagship
The stars streaked past as my Venator-class Star Destroyer jumped to hyperspace.
We had our next target—the Separatist stronghold of Mygeeto.
But I knew something was wrong.
The Force was humming, warning me of something… big.
Ahsoka stood beside me, arms crossed. "You feel it too, don't you?"
I nodded. "Dooku's coming."
She frowned. "Are you sure?"
I smirked. "He doesn't have a choice. We've backed him into a corner."
Rex stepped forward. "Orders, General?"
I turned to face him.
"We do what we always do."
I grinned.
"We win."

Later That Night – Padmé's Apartment
Padmé let out a soft gasp as I pressed her against the silk sheets, my hands exploring every inch of her.
Her nails raked down my back as she whispered my name, breathless.
"You're going to ruin me, Anakin," she murmured against my lips.
I smirked. "That's the idea."
She arched beneath me, and I claimed her again.
The war could wait.
Tonight? She belonged to me.
