Episode 13 : The Path to Immortality
The battlefield was silent. The throne he had fought to reclaim lay in ruins, his enemies reduced to ash. His black flames flickered in the night air, but for the first time, there was no satisfaction in his victory.
Power had never been his goal. Revenge had driven him this far, but now, even that felt… meaningless.
What was left for him?
He turned his gaze to the endless sky.
"Peace…" he whispered. "Can a being like me ever find peace?"
Deep within his soul, the abyss of darkness stirred, whispering temptations of greater destruction. But he ignored it. He had no interest in ruling over ruins.
Instead, a new thought took root.
Immortality.
Not just to live forever—but to transcend the cycle of death and suffering. To break free from the fate that had destroyed his family, his people… himself.
If there was a way to find true peace, it would lie beyond the reach of mortals and gods alike.
And so, with the world still trembling from his rise, the Black Dragon Sovereign turned his back on the throne and took to the skies.
