One of the prisoners had escaped, fleeing to the upper world. He possessed a stone that allowed him to teleport anywhere across the globe.
Somewhere in New York, under the cover of night, he opened his eyes and took in the vast city before him. A sinister grin spread across his face as he burst into laughter.
"It's time to light things up," he said.
As he turned around, he spotted a man holding a shovel, with a woman standing behind him. Without hesitation, he unleashed his fire powers, engulfing them in flames.
Six months later, he had built a magical stone like a atomic bomb powerful enough to wipe out New York City. His name was Drago Man.
This event marked the turning point for a hero who would become the world's greatest fear Genesis.
Genesis and his team had been tracking Drago Man for months. His allies, The Dark and The Emperor of Steel, devised a plan:
The Dark would handle Drago Man's dragon.
The Emperor of Steel would battle Drago Man himself.Genesis would disable the core but things took a drastic turn. As Genesis tried to shut down the power supply of core, it suddenly became unstable and overloaded, threatening to destroy half of the planet. With no other option, he grabbed the core and flew away from Earth, hoping to minimize the damage.
Then disaster struck.
The core accidentally activated mid-flight, triggering a devastating explosion. Genesis was caught in the blast, left badly injured, and lost in the void of space.
Three Years Later
Genesis awoke in a hospital bed. His vision was blurry as he tried to sit up, but the moment he moved, his body collapsed under its own weight.
"Oh, you're awake," a doctor said, stepping toward him.
Genesis struggled to focus. "How… did I get here?" he asked.
When he tried to get out of bed, his legs failed him, and he fell back onto the mattress.
"Be careful," the doctor warned.
Then Genesis caught sight of a mirror placed beside him. He turned his head and froze.
Half of his body was mechanical, glowing with a faint blue light. Panic surged through him as he ran his hand over his metallic chest and arm. The cold, hard surface was real.
"What… what happened to me?" he asked, his voice shaking.
The doctor sighed. "The blast from the power of the core did this to you."
Genesis swallowed hard, his mind racing. "And my teammates?"
The doctor smiled. "Oh, them? They're the world's most famous superheroes now."
Genesis clenched his fists.
"I risked my life to save the Earth… and they got the credit for it?"
The blue light in his body pulsed violently then turned red. His anger took over. In a flash, he attacked the doctor, knocking him out cold.
He grabbed a black cloak, draped it over himself, and disappeared into the night.
Meanwhile, the world had moved on.
The Dark and The Emperor of Steel had married and started families. The Emperor's son was named Leonard, while The Dark's son was Owen Greyson but Genesis had been forgotten.
He allied with some of the most powerful and most wanted criminals Red Wolf, Crossfire, and commander Hex. Together, they sought to rule both the upper world and the underground world. But above all, Genesis craved revenge.
The war between heroes and villains began. The battle was brutal, and countless lives were lost.
In the end, The Dark used a forbidden technique to strip away Genesis of his power, sealing it inside a mystical artifact named the Stone of the Heart. To ensure its safety, he shattered the map to the stone into four pieces and hid them across the world.
But victory came at a cost. The Dark and his wife died.
Before his death, The Emperor of Stee his real name Arlo Hudson made a decision. Fearing Genesis' remaining followers would seek revenge, he left dark's son Owen Greyson in an orphanage in the upper world.As he placed the child down, he whispered, "I will come back. Be safe till then."
Along with him, he left chain engraved with wings on both sides and two sharp eyes as well as a nameplate: Owen Greyson.
