After that day beside the pool, I didn't get a chance to see Zeeland again. To be honest for a moment, I missed him.
"Why is the palace so quiet today?" I asked Becky as she combed my hair.
"Maybe because of the preparation to welcome Alpha Dovan." She packed the hair down and used a ribbon pin to hook it down.
I turned around. "If it's a preparation as you've said, the whole place shouldn't be so dead silent and did you just say Alpha Dovan?"
She nodded.
"Why? I asked in a slightly trembling voice."
"I know right. I too had sleepless night thinking about it, I wondered why it had to be an Alpha. We never had any reason to pass each other shadows for as long as I could remember."
"Then what happened." I was now yelling and sweating profusely despite the air conditioned room.
She blinked back her lashes. "I heard that he wasn't here to wage war but to take back what belonged to him."
What belonged to him? I felt my chest tightened immediately.
