Demon Realm, Hall of Ten Thousand Demons
Emperor Ba: "Is that so? To think that Ding'er was forced to execute the plan ahead of schedule. Go and have Enis revive them."
"Yes!" Advisor Mino retreated. Mino arrived at the Black Rose Courtyard. "Lady Enis, Lady Enis, where are you?" Mino searched anxiously. In the garden at the back of the courtyard, she spotted Enis playing with a gray bird of the Demon Realm. "Lady Enis, His Majesty Emperor Ba requests you to revive Lord Ding'er and the others," Mino said after a respectful bow.
"They're still so weak," Enis replied coldly. She walked to an open area in the courtyard and began casting a spell. A massive magic circle glowed on the ground, summoning the souls of Ding'er and Jino'de from the mortal realm. "Rebirth of flesh, infusion of souls," Enis chanted, and Ding'er and Jino'de were restored to their bodies, standing before her.
"Thank you, Lady Enis," Jino'de said, kneeling in gratitude.
"Thanks," Ding'er said, scratching his head.
"If there's nothing else, leave. Don't disturb me while I'm tending to my flowers," Enis said, turning to walk away. Ding'er, Mino, and Jino'de exchanged glances, shrugged, and left. Enis arrived at a field of roses. Amidst the endless sea of flowers stood a figure so beautiful that even the roses paled in comparison. Long purple-black hair, a black formal gown, ornate high heels, deep red lipstick, and captivating purple-red eyes—her beauty stood in stark contrast to the gloom of the Demon Realm. Watching pairs of black-winged butterflies, this aloof woman seemed lost in thought. She plucked a black rose and quietly departed.
Idoru Town,"Kaia!" Emily cried, clutching a sword.
"I'm fine. Luckily, I managed to transfer my soul into the sword in time, but my body is gone now. Emily, you probably can't help me restore my body, can you?" Kaia said.
"Ugh, I haven't learned advanced body reconstruction magic yet."
"I have an idea," the guard captain said, approaching slowly.
"Captain! Thank goodness you're okay!" Judo sighed in relief upon seeing him.
"There's a legend in the Kingdom of Shustan about a unique royal secret technique that can supposedly recreate a human body. But it's just a legend. We'd need to consult His Majesty Shubogu for details," the guard captain explained.
Joe: "That's great! As long as there's a glimmer of hope, we have to try. Let's head back to the capital of Shustan immediately."
"Okay," Emily said, wiping her tears and picking up the sword.
Village,Two days until departure. It's nearly autumn, and the fruits in the orchard are ready to be harvested.
"Brother Bai, these are new shoes my mom made for you. You can wear them when you enlist," Bona said, holding out the shoes.
"Thank your mom for me. I'll make sure to thank her properly when I get back," I said, gratefully accepting the shoes. Lately, I've been self-studying swordsmanship and magic, and I've made decent progress. Though I haven't had real combat experience, I shouldn't hold anyone back after enlisting, right? I wondered. If I really manage to defeat the Demon King, should I return to my original world or stay here? My original world has my blood-related family, but this world has people who treat me like family too. For now, I decided not to overthink it and continued picking apples.
