POV: Female Lead ( Ha-neul)
The moment her feet hit the ground, she ran.
Gasps and shouts echoed behind her, but she didn't stop.
Her heart pounded.
Her heels slammed against the marble floor.
Cameras flashed. Reporters screamed her name.
Security guards rushed forward.
Do-hyun's voice roared through the chaos.
"Stop her!"
No.
She pushed forward, shoving past the guards.
The exit was so close—
Then—
A hand grabbed her wrist.
Hard.
Do-hyun.
His fingers dug into her skin.
His breath was hot against her ear.
"Where do you think you're going, sweetheart?"
Panic clawed at her throat.
She struggled.
"Let me go!"
His grip tightened.
Then—
BANG!
The glass doors burst open.
A flood of black-suited men stormed in.
Do-hyun froze.
And she saw him.
Jin-ho.
His gun was aimed straight at Do-hyun.
His voice was cold.
"Let. Her. Go."

The Chaos Unfolds
Do-hyun hesitated.
For the first time, fear flashed in his eyes.
The reporters screamed.
Security guards pulled out their weapons.
Jin-ho didn't flinch.
Neither did his men.
Tension crackled in the air.
Do-hyun's fingers dug into her wrist.
A cruel smile played on his lips.
"You think he can save you, Ha-neul?"
Jin-ho's voice was deadly calm.
"I don't think. I know."
Then—
Jin-ho pulled the trigger.
A warning shot.
The bullet whizzed past Do-hyun's ear.
His grip loosened—just for a second.
It was all she needed.
She ripped free and ran.
Jin-ho caught her wrist.
"Come on!"
They raced through the exit.
Gunfire erupted behind them.
Do-hyun's men were fighting back.
Jin-ho's men covered them, blocking the bullets.
A black car skidded to a stop outside.
The door flew open.
Jin-ho shoved her inside.
Then, he jumped in after her.
The car sped off.
She collapsed against the seat, gasping for breath.
Her hands were shaking.
Jin-ho's voice was firm.
"We got you. You're safe now."
She wasn't.
Not yet.
Not until she saw Min-jae.
Her voice was hoarse.
"Where is he?"
Jin-ho met her gaze.
His next words shattered her.
"They took him."
