Chapter 2 - TEERCES

The next morning, the entire nation of Sicnarep was in turmoil.

Every news channel was flooded with one name: Minister Valdro.

"Minister Valdro Involved in Murder and Corruption! New Evidence Leaked to the Public!"

"Massive Scandal: Minister Valdro Allegedly Bribed Police to Cover Up a Brutal Murder Case!"

Peter sat comfortably on his motel sofa, a cup of coffee in hand, as the television in front of him played a live broadcast. Journalists swarmed the ministry building, shoving microphones toward the disgraced official.

Valdro appeared on the screen, surrounded by reporters, his usually confident face now visibly tense.

"Minister, how do you explain the leaked CCTV footage?"

"Is it true that you paid the police to shut down this case?"

"What about the hidden bank accounts that were discovered?"

Valdro clenched his jaw, clearly struggling to maintain his composure. He denied all accusations, calling them baseless lies and a political attack.

Peter chuckled. "Typical. Always blaming someone else."

His phone vibrated. A message from an unknown number popped up.

"Was this your doing?"

Peter smirked and typed a short reply.

"I just revealed the truth."

Moments later, his phone buzzed again—this time, an incoming call from Zunafets.

Peter sighed. "And here comes the lecture."

He answered the call.

"Good morning, General. Enjoying the news?" he said casually.

His brother's deep, steady voice came through the line. "What the hell did you do, Peter?"

Peter smirked. "Just a little morning entertainment. You should be thanking me—I'm cleaning up this country's filth."

Zunafets let out a long breath. "You just set a fire you can't put out. You think they'll just sit back after this?"

Peter took a sip of his coffee before replying, "I hope not. Things were getting a little too boring."

Peter sighed and ended the call, tossing his phone onto the table. Zunafets' warning was clear, but Peter wasn't the type to back down.

Before he could take another sip of coffee, his phone buzzed again. A new message appeared on the screen.

"I have a job for you. Payment will be transferred after completion. Interested?"

Peter raised an eyebrow. A new client? That was fast.

He opened the message and read the details: the target was a high-security server belonging to a private company—one that just so happened to have deep ties with the government. The client wanted him to extract classified financial records.

"So, someone wants dirt on another corrupt official," Peter muttered, smirking.

Leaning back against the sofa, he thought for a moment. Normally, he wouldn't take a job right after stirring up chaos like exposing Valdro. But this request was intriguing.

"Alright, let's have some fun."

Cracking his knuckles, he pulled his laptop onto his lap and began setting up his tools. Within seconds, multiple windows filled his screen—IP masks, VPNs, and backdoor programs all running simultaneously.

His fingers flew across the keyboard, bypassing firewalls one by one. The security was tight, but nothing he hadn't cracked before.

"Come on… show me what you're hiding."

Lines of encrypted data flashed across the screen as he dug deeper into the system. Then, he found it—a hidden folder labeled "Confidential - Black Ledger."

Peter's smirk widened. "Bingo."

He started the download, but just as the files were transferring, an alert popped up.

"Intrusion detected. Tracking in progress."

Peter cursed under his breath. Someone was watching.

Without hesitation, he triggered a system overload, forcing the server into emergency shutdown mode. That would buy him a few minutes.

As soon as the files finished downloading, he disconnected from the network and wiped his traces.

"Nice try, but I'm always one step ahead," he muttered.

His phone buzzed again. The client had already sent the payment.

Peter leaned back, grinning.

"Easy money. Now… what's next?"

Peter took a deep breath and grabbed his remote, switching the news channel. His eyes narrowed as the headlines flashed across the screen.

"Mass Protests Planned Across Sicnarep—Citizens Demand Justice!"

"Teerces Gains Public Support as People Call for More Government Exposures!"

Peter leaned forward, intrigued. The streets of Sicnarep were filled with protesters holding signs and chanting slogans against corruption. Videos of crowds growing larger by the hour played on repeat.

A reporter's voice echoed through the broadcast. "Following the explosive leaks exposing Minister Valdro's crimes, thousands of citizens are taking to the streets, demanding justice and government accountability. Many are calling for Teerces—the hacker behind the revelations—to continue uncovering the truth."

Peter smirked. "So, they want me to be their hero now?"

He scrolled through his phone and checked social media. The hashtags #JusticeForSicnarep and #TeercesTheTruth were trending. People were openly calling for him to expose more of the government's corruption. Some even sent direct messages, pleading for him to hack and reveal more secrets.

His fingers hovered over the keyboard.

"This is getting bigger than I expected," he muttered.

A notification popped up—another anonymous message.

"Teerces, please help us. The government is covering up more crimes. We need the truth."

Peter exhaled slowly. The country was on the brink of something massive. And now, he had a choice.

Did he keep digging and fuel the uprising?

Or step back before things spiraled out of control?

He chuckled to himself. "Well, I was getting bored anyway."

His fingers moved swiftly, pulling up a new set of targets.

"Let's give the people what they want."

Sicnarep Police Headquarters

The police headquarters was filled with tension. High-ranking officers sat around the meeting room, their faces grim. Police Chief General Morvain slammed his fist on the table.

"How the hell is that damn hacker still on the loose?! We've lost track of him too many times!" he shouted.

A young officer stood up nervously, opening his laptop and projecting a report onto the screen.

"Teerces is incredibly skilled, sir. He constantly changes his encryption methods, uses multiple layers of VPNs, and operates deep within the dark web. Every time we get close, he disappears."

A furious government official, present in the meeting, slammed the table.

"Are you police or clowns?! This country is becoming a joke! The people are supporting him, while we're losing control!"

General Morvain took a deep breath, trying to contain his frustration.

"We must uncover his true identity. If we don't, this country will fall into chaos!"

Ministerial Emergency Meeting

Elsewhere, in the government building, an emergency meeting was in session. Ministers and high-ranking officials sat in a grand conference hall, their faces tense. The Minister of Internal Affairs spoke angrily.

"The protests are growing larger! If we don't act soon, this administration could collapse!"

A parliament member added, "It's not just the protests. Teerces' leaks have destroyed public trust in us. If another scandal is exposed, we're finished!"

The Minister of Defense, an older man with graying hair, spoke in a deep, serious tone.

"We have two options: capture Teerces… or make him work for us."

Silence filled the room. Everyone knew that capturing Teerces was easier said than done.

A man who had remained quiet the entire time finally spoke. It was the Prime Minister of Sicnarep.

"We leave this to SIN," he stated firmly.

All eyes turned to him.

"The SIN organization has far greater resources than the police. If anyone can catch Teerces, it's them."

Some ministers hesitated, but they had no other choice.

Within minutes, the decision was made. The SIN organization was now officially given full authority to hunt down Teerces.

Far away, outside the government building, Peter shut his laptop after intercepting the conversation. A smirk formed on his lips.

"So… they're finally taking me seriously?"

The real game had just begun.

Peter's eyes widened as he scrolled through the confidential files he had just uncovered. Three massive government scandals—far worse than he had expected—were now in his hands.

1. A secret drug operation run by high-ranking officials, using government resources to distribute narcotics across the country.

2. Environmental destruction—the illegal exploitation of oil resources had completely devastated an entire island, its access blocked so no one could witness the damage.

3. A nationwide counterfeit money scheme, where the government secretly printed fake currency to manipulate the economy.

Peter exhaled sharply. "This is bigger than anything I've leaked before."

Without hesitation, he published the files onto multiple anonymous platforms, setting them to go viral. Then, before the authorities could track his signal, he shut down all his access points.

"Let's see how they deal with this."

Satisfied, Peter leaned back in his chair. His stomach growled. He needed food.

Supermarket – Late Afternoon

Dressed casually in a hoodie and cap, Peter walked into a local supermarket, grabbing a few snacks, drinks, and instant meals. The store's TV was already flashing breaking news.

"Multiple high-level government scandals have just been exposed in the latest leaks from the infamous hacker Teerces. The public is in shock, and protests are expected to escalate!"

A few customers in the store whispered excitedly.

"He did it again! This guy's a legend."

Peter smirked, paying for his items before heading back to his motel.

Motel – Evening

The moment he stepped into his room, his phone buzzed. A message.

"Big street race tonight. High stakes. Are you in?"

Peter grinned. He had just shaken an entire government—now it was time to shake the streets.

He cracked his knuckles. "Let's have some fun."
