Chapter 6 - TEERCES

Peter stepped off the ship cautiously, scanning the surroundings. Suddenly, he turned sharply—heavy footsteps approached.

Optimus and Odlan emerged from the shadows, dragging a lifeless body that had been shot. Their faces were tense, filled with suspicion.

Peter moved closer, his eyes analyzing the corpse. The man's clothing clearly marked him as a member of FTO, the illegal organization suspected of working with corrupt government officials.

But as the moonlight illuminated the face of the dead man, Peter's eyes widened in shock.

It was a SIN agent.

"Damn," he muttered under his breath, his jaw tightening. "They've already infiltrated our organization."

Optimus and Odlan stared in shock, still gripping the lifeless body.

Peter took a step forward, his eyes sharp. "What the hell are you two doing here? How did you even get here?"

Optimus smirked, pointing at the dock behind them. There, rocking gently in the water, were two high-speed sea bikes. "We followed your tracker. Figured you'd need backup."

Peter exhaled sharply, half-annoyed, half-impressed. "Idiots. You weren't supposed to be here."

Odlan grinned. "And yet, here we are."

Deep inside the jungle, Zunafets and his unit moved swiftly. Their rifles were raised, boots crunching against the damp earth. They had already taken down several guards, tying them up for extraction.

Then, a sudden silence.

Zunafets halted, raising a fist—a signal for his team to stop. His instincts screamed danger.

A rustling in the trees.

Before anyone could react—gunfire erupted.

"AMBUSH!"

Zunafets quickly took cover behind a large tree, his eyes narrowing as he assessed the source of the gunfire.

"Cease fire! They're not the enemy!" one of the SIN agents shouted.

But it was too late. Two members of Zunafets' team had already fallen.

From behind the bushes, a man dressed as a SIN agent emerged. The organization's emblem was clearly displayed on his vest, but something felt off.

Meanwhile, on the boat, Peter watched everything unfold through a small drone hidden inside his jacket. He instantly realized the truth.

"Damn it... that's not one of our agents."

He grabbed his radio. "Zunafets, watch out! They're disguising themselves as SIN agents! Those are FTO operatives!"

Zunafets clenched his jaw. "Damn it... we've been betrayed."

Then—a sudden explosion erupted from the other side of the island.

This mission had just turned into a deadly trap.

Peter signaled Optimus and Odlan to follow him.

"Come on, we're going in," Peter said, his voice firm but calm.

They moved swiftly, avoiding the main entrance and taking a hidden side path. Peter had studied the layout beforehand—this was the shortest route to the heart of the operation.

As they advanced, they saw multiple armed FTO operatives patrolling.

"We need to be quick," Optimus whispered. "If we get spotted, we're screwed."

Peter smirked. "Then let's not get spotted."

He took out a small EMP device, activated it, and threw it near the nearest surveillance camera. A soft buzz followed by a small spark confirmed it was down.

They pressed on.

Finally, after sneaking through tight corridors and taking down a few unsuspecting guards, they reached the inner compound.

Inside, Peter's eyes widened.

Massive crates filled with illegal drugs. Stacks of counterfeit money. Secret documents linking the FTO to the highest levels of government.

Odlan exhaled. "Peter... this is bigger than we thought."

Peter clenched his fists. "We end this tonight."

Peter's team moved swiftly, capturing the main perpetrators and the key figures running the drug operation. Some tried to resist, but their team was far superior.

Meanwhile, Zunafets successfully secured the control center. He stood with his weapon raised, staring down at the high-ranking members of the illegal organization, who were now powerless.

"Game over," Zunafets said coldly.

Peter walked in, glancing at Zunafets before scanning the room.

Scattered documents covered the floor. The data from this operation could expose many corrupt officials.

Peter smirked. "We got everything."

Optimus and Odlan exchanged looks before turning to Peter.

"So… what's the next step?" Optimus asked.

Peter pulled out his phone and started typing. Within seconds, all the incriminating files began uploading to the internet.

"Next step?" Peter grinned. "I'll let the world judge them."

All the captured perpetrators were brought onto the ship, handcuffed and guarded closely by the SIN team.

Peter stood at the edge of the ship, gazing at the vast ocean. He took a deep breath before saying with a smirk, "Tomorrow is going to be chaotic."

Optimus grinned. "Are you sure they won't be able to cover this up?"

Peter shrugged. "All the data has already been uploaded to a secure server. If they try to suppress it, the public will start asking questions—and that will only make them look more suspicious."

Zunafets glanced at Peter with a serious expression. "We still need to be prepared. The government won't stay silent about this."

Odlan chuckled. "Yeah, but now they've lost one of their biggest assets—their drug operation."

Peter smirked in satisfaction. This mission wasn't just a victory for them; it was a devastating blow to the corrupt government.

As the ship sailed away from the now-abandoned island, the night remained calm, but tomorrow—the world would be in chaos.

The next morning, Peter woke up early. He sat on the couch, turning on the TV.

The news was everywhere. Headlines flashed across the screen—"Secret Drug Operation Exposed! High-Ranking Officials Involved!" Reporters were discussing the shocking revelations, and protests were already forming outside government buildings.

Peter smirked, satisfied. "Looks like they couldn't bury this one."

Just then, Odlan walked in, carrying a tray of food. The smell was familiar, comforting.

"Breakfast, genius hacker," Odlan said with a grin, placing the tray on the table. "My mom made this for you. She said you look too skinny on TV."

Peter chuckled, shaking his head. "Tell her I appreciate it."

As he took a bite, enjoying the home-cooked meal, Optimus walked in, holding his phone.

"Guys… we have a problem." He turned the screen towards them.

Peter narrowed his eyes as he saw the new headline—

"Government Declares National Emergency: A Manhunt for the Hacker Known as 'Teerces' Begins."

Meanwhile, the SIN agents assigned to protect Peter grew tense as they watched the news on the large monitor in their headquarters.

"Government Exposes Teerces! Is He Actually a Rogue SIN Agent?"

A young agent turned to his captain, his face filled with concern. "Captain, this is crazy! If this spreads, Peter could officially become an enemy of the state!"

The captain took a deep breath and said, "This isn't just a random leak. Someone in the government is deliberately spreading this to take him down… or maybe to lure him out."

Another agent added, "And now we have to choose… do we protect Peter, or follow orders?"

In the corner of the room, Aitnys stood silently, staring at the screen with sharp eyes. She bit her lip before clenching her fists.

"I'm staying on Peter's side."

Everyone turned to her.

"He's not a traitor. He's the one exposing the corruption in this system. If they want to hunt him down, that means they're afraid."

The captain stared at her for a long moment before finally nodding. "Alright… we keep protecting him. But we have to be more careful. The government has probably already sent their best hunters to capture him."

Meanwhile, somewhere else, Peter watched the TV screen with a cold gaze.

"They want to play dirty, huh?" he muttered. "Alright… let's make this game even more interesting."

Meanwhile, at the SIN headquarters, Zunafets stood in the center of a heated debate among high-ranking agents.

"This is madness!" one of the senior agents slammed his fist on the table. "The government is legitimizing FTO? That terrorist organization?!"

Another agent added, "We've spent years hunting them down, and now they're going to be recognized as an official security force?!"

Zunafets crossed his arms, his expression dark. "This isn't about security. This is about control. The government is using FTO as their personal attack dogs to silence people like Peter."

Aitnys, who had just entered the room, frowned. "So what do we do? If FTO gets official backing, they'll have full access to government resources, making them more dangerous than ever."

The captain of the unit sighed. "We have two choices: either we follow the government's orders and let this happen… or we fight back."

Silence filled the room. The agents exchanged uncertain glances.

Zunafets finally spoke, his voice calm but firm. "I won't let this happen. FTO is a threat to our country, and I refuse to let them take over." He looked around the room, meeting the eyes of every agent. "Who's with me?"

Slowly, one by one, the agents stood up.

"We are."

Inside the motel, Peter lounged on the sofa with his feet up on the table, casually munching on a snack while staring at his laptop screen. Next to him, Odlan sipped a cold soda, scrolling through the flood of social media comments about yesterday's events.

"Huh… People are still freaking out about the case. But at least we managed to expose them," Odlan muttered.

Peter shrugged. "This is just the beginning. The government won't stay quiet."

Suddenly, the door swung open. Optimus walked in with a serious expression, tossing a tablet onto the table in front of them. "You guys need to see this. Right now."

Peter frowned and grabbed the tablet. As soon as he read the headline, his jaw clenched.

"Government Officially Recognizes FTO as a National Security Force"

Odlan, reading over his shoulder, nearly choked on his drink. "What?! Are they insane?! FTO is a criminal organization! Why would they legalize them?!"

Peter scoffed, tossing the tablet back onto the table. "It's a power play. The government doesn't want to lose control after yesterday's scandal, so they're using FTO as their attack dogs."

Optimus sat down across from him, eyes locked onto Peter. "The question is… what are we going to do about it?"

Peter was silent for a moment, then smirked—that signature smirk that always meant he had something planned. "We make them regret this decision."

Peter cracked his knuckles as he sat in front of his laptop, eyes locked on the screen. This time, there was no countdown, no warning—just pure exposure. With a few swift keystrokes, he unleashed a flood of classified documents, transaction records, and incriminating conversations.

The headline spread like wildfire across every platform:

"Government Officials Linked to FTO and Criminal Networks EXPOSED!"

News channels interrupted their regular broadcasts. Social media exploded with outrage. Names of corrupt ministers, their connections to FTO, and their roles in illegal operations were all laid bare for the public to see.

Odlan whistled as he scrolled through the posts. "Damn, Peter… You really went all out this time."

Optimus smirked. "No timer, huh? So you're done playing nice?"

Peter leaned back, arms crossed. "They wanted to use criminals as their shield? Fine. Let's see how long they last when the entire country turns against them."

Meanwhile, inside the government offices, chaos erupted. Phones rang off the hook, officials scrambled to deny involvement, and emergency meetings were called. But it was too late—there was no stopping the truth now.

At the government office, chaos erupted. Ministers whose names appeared in the news frantically tried to cover their tracks, but the evidence was too overwhelming.

A high-ranking official slammed the table. "That bastard Teerces must be ELIMINATED!" he shouted, his face turning red with fury.

Meanwhile, at SIN headquarters, alarms blared. Zunafets rushed into the main control room. A tense-looking agent reported, "Peter is in danger. A shadow unit has been deployed to silence him!"

Zunafets clenched his fists and grabbed his radio. "Find him! Protect him at all costs!"

At the motel, Peter was still casually seated with his laptop, enjoying the chaos he had unleashed. But suddenly, Optimus, who was watching from the window, shouted, "Peter! We've got company!"

Odlan immediately pulled Peter to his feet. "We need to leave. NOW!"

The sound of approaching vehicles filled the air. Peter glanced at his laptop screen—through the hacked security cameras, he saw six armed men stepping out of a black SUV.

"They're here." He shut his laptop and reached for the gun hidden in the drawer.

BANG!

The motel door was hit hard from the outside.

Peter sighed, then smirked. "Alright… If they want to play rough, let's give them a little party."

Odlan cocked his gun. "Let's take them down, bro!"

Optimus grinned. "Make sure none of them leave alive."

From outside, a voice shouted. "Teerces! You're surrounded! Come out, or we'll take you down!"

Peter looked at his two friends. "Let's see who gets taken down first."

Outside, the assassins prepared to storm the motel. But before they could move…

BOOM!

An explosion rocked the right side of the motel. Glass shattered, flames erupted.

Through the thick smoke, Optimus's voice echoed. "Game on, boys!"

The assassins were stunned as Peter, Odlan, and Optimus suddenly appeared, speeding past them in their car.

Peter smirked and waved. "Hey, looking for me?"

Before they could react, Peter swiftly pulled out his pistol, aimed, and—

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Gunshots echoed as he shot out the tires of every car around them. The assassins watched in horror as their vehicles sank, the tires completely destroyed.

"Damn it! Our cars are wrecked!" one of them shouted.

But before they could retaliate—

SCREEECH!

Peter slammed the gas pedal. Their car shot forward, drifting sharply around a corner, leaving behind a trail of smoke and burning rubber.

Optimus burst into laughter. "Damn! That was sick! Let's see how fast they can run without their cars!"

Odlan reloaded his gun. "Where to next, Peter?"

Peter grinned even wider. "Let's make this game even more fun. We're leading them straight to hell."

The chase had only just begun.

The tires screeched as the car came to a sudden stop.

"Switch seats!" Peter shouted. In an instant, he and Optimus swapped places.

Optimus gripped the steering wheel, grinning. "Time to show them how real driving is done."

Peter leaned out of the window, gun raised. "Don't hesitate."

Behind them, several black cars sped up, their headlights glaring like the eyes of predators. Gunmen emerged from the windows, weapons aimed.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Bullets whizzed past, barely missing their car. Optimus swerved sharply, dodging the shots with precision.

Odlan cursed. "They're not messing around!" He raised his rifle, ready to return fire.

Peter reloaded his pistol, glancing at the rearview mirror. "Then let's give them a surprise."

"Hold on tight!" Optimus suddenly veered off the highway, taking a narrow path toward the outskirts of the city.

This chase had just become even more dangerous.

Meanwhile, at Peter's motel, the assassins searched his room.

They overturned furniture, ripped open drawers, and scanned every inch for anything valuable—laptops, USB drives, or even notes.

"Nothing." One of them growled. "He took everything."

Another assassin checked under the bed, inside the closet, and even in the air vents. "No trace of files or devices."

The leader clenched his fists. "Damn it! He knew we were coming."

One of them picked up a snack wrapper from the table and scoffed. "He's probably out there enjoying himself while we waste our time."

The leader turned to his men. "Enough. We track him down. He won't get far."

They stormed out, leaving the room in chaos.

In a speeding black car, the assassin leader received a call from his subordinate.

"Boss, we lost their trail!" a panicked voice came through the phone.

The leader's face tensed. "What do you mean you lost them?! Their car couldn't just disappear!"

"They were too fast, and suddenly, they turned onto a small road that isn't covered by traffic cameras. We lost their signal."

The leader growled and slammed his phone against the dashboard. "Damn it! He's more slippery than we thought."

He turned to his subordinate in the front seat. "Call the surveillance team. Find out any possible hideouts they might use. I don't care how long it takes, we have to find him before he causes even more chaos!"

Their car sped up, while elsewhere, Peter, Odlan, and Optimus continued their escape.

Peter opened his laptop inside the speeding car. The bluish glow from the screen faintly illuminated his face as his fingers danced rapidly over the keyboard.

"I need a secure network access," he muttered, his eyes locked onto the rolling lines of code.

Odlan leaned in, studying the screen seriously. "Are you going to release the data now?"

Peter shook his head. "Not yet. I have to encrypt this first, or they'll trace the source. We also need an offshore server for backup."

Optimus pressed the gas pedal harder. "That means we need to find a place with a safe connection. I know one, but it's risky."

Peter smirked, his eyes never leaving the screen. "Risk? That's part of the game."

The car sped through the city, which was already in chaos due to the leaked information. But an even bigger storm was yet to be unleashed.

Inside the SIN headquarters, tension filled the air. Agents were busy monitoring news feeds and communication channels. In his office, General Zunafets stared at his phone screen, his voice cold as his call connected.

"What are you doing, Peter?" His tone was sharp, full of pressure. "Where are you?"

Elsewhere, Peter sat in a moving car, his laptop open on his lap. He glanced at the screen for a moment before replying casually, "I'm just finishing what should've been done a long time ago."

Zunafets took a deep breath. "You know this could bring everything down. You're fighting more than just the government. This is bigger than you think."

Peter chuckled lightly. "And you think I don't know that? I've come this far, Zuna. There's no turning back now."

Silence lingered for a moment before Zunafets finally spoke again. "Don't make me choose between duty and family, Peter."

Peter gazed at the road ahead, his eyes filled with determination. "You made that choice a long time ago, brother."

The call disconnected. Zunafets clenched his fist, while Peter shut his laptop and looked at Optimus and Odlan. "We need to move faster."

Their mission was far from over.

Zunafets took a sharp breath, gripping his phone tighter. "Alright, Peter. You want to take down corruption? Prove it. You have a mission."

Peter leaned back in his seat, intrigued. "Oh? And what mission is that?"

"The counterfeit money operation," Zunafets said firmly. "The one you exposed yesterday. It's bigger than we thought. The government isn't just covering it up—they're running it. The production site is still active."

Peter smirked. "So, you finally admit the system is rotten?"

"This isn't about that," Zunafets snapped. "It's about preventing economic collapse before it happens. If the public finds out the government has been printing counterfeit money to manipulate the economy, there could be chaos. Riots. Even civil war."

Peter rubbed his chin, thinking. "Let me guess. SIN wants to destroy the evidence before it leaks to the public, right?"

Zunafets was silent for a moment. "We need to handle this quietly. If this gets out of control, a lot of people will suffer. You say you want justice, Peter. Then help me stop this before it's too late."

Peter exchanged looks with Optimus and Odlan, who had been listening in on the conversation.

Odlan raised an eyebrow. "So, what's the plan now, hacker boy? Do we shut this down or leak everything?"

Peter grinned. "Why not both?"

He turned back to the phone. "Send me everything you have, Zuna. Looks like we're going hunting again."

Zunafets' voice was firm. "Tomorrow, you're coming with us. We're infiltrating the site."

Peter leaned back, twirling a pen in his fingers. "Infiltration, huh? Sounds fun."

"This isn't a game, Peter," Zunafets warned. "Once we step in, there's no turning back. And one more thing—you're officially being reinstated as an agent of SIN."

Peter's smirk faded slightly. He glanced at Odlan and Optimus, who were both watching him closely. "So, you're pulling me back in, huh?"

"Temporarily," Zunafets clarified. "You'll still have your freedom, but right now, we need you inside SIN. You know this system better than anyone."

Peter exhaled, running a hand through his hair. "Fine. But I work on my terms."

"Then be at the SIN headquarters by morning," Zunafets said before hanging up.

Peter tossed his phone onto the table and looked at his friends. "Well, looks like I'm an agent again. For now."

Optimus crossed his arms. "And what about us?"

Peter grinned. "You guys ready to break into a high-security printing facility?"

Odlan sighed, shaking his head. "Why do I even ask?"

The three of them shared a knowing look. Another mission was about to begin.
